Fireball vs. Awbri (Disposable Income)

“Welcome to Big W shoppers, today’s specials…” The voice faded into the distance as Shrapnel tried to determine where she was. She looked left; a wall of Lego products confronted her. She looked right a child of roughly five years old was looking at toy cars.

“Huh what happened to the cave?” She asked no one.

She got to her feet; she shakes her head trying to remember. Her vision slowly focused on the nearby electronic section. She recognized the person restocking the CD racks as some one in the grade below her at school. She was home.

“But how? The last thing I remember is Clark changing and then a flash” she keeps talking to her self, the nearby kid gave her a blank stare before continuing to push every nearby try me button. “My coins!”

Strangely her coin belt and gauntlets had been returned to her. They were fully stocked. She reached into her pocket there was a note. It read Well played warrior, you may continue. Await your next challenge here. We took the liberty of returning your weapons after you lost them. The kid pushing the try me buttons went into the next aisle. He pushed a button on a Muppet toy and it began to sing.

“Puppets on a string, Puppets on a string, who’s is forcing me to dance this stupid jig.”

“Tell me about it,” Shrapnel said.

At least she knew this battle grounds, the local Big W variety store. More Australian than K-mart and Wal-Mart probably couldn’t locate Australia on a map. The toys section, right down the back of the store, the electronic sections and sports goods closer to the front. Then the check-out registers. The clothes where right down the other end of the store with home wares and other sundries in between. The store opened up into the larger shopping centre.

“Well may as well drool over things I can’t afford while I wait,” she remarked as she went into the electronic section and looked through the top forty albums.
