The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

The brown crags of the western mountains were dead silent, the strange silence you only find in a dark room, by yourself. A few hawks fly overhead, keeping a weary vigil of the scouring mountains below them, the peaks ascending far into the air while the pits dig deep into the earth.

The wind has corroded these mountains into smooth sandstone. Ancient texts can be read amongst their walls. However, today it seems that those texts might not last much longer. Powers from around the world come quaking towards these ranges, brandishing their weapons with pride.

They alone know why they come to this place. The fight is about to begin.

Re: The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

Blaze stood at the base of the valley and looked up in awe. The rocky range was huge in proportion to him, which was not that surprising. The strange formation of it plus the writing on the walls made it even more mysterious. He slowly walked down the cryptic gorge. Each step made a slight, yet notable, echo across the valley. The eerie silence made the Elemental feel uneasy and confused. He knew why he was here and he could not shake the feeling that this silence was foreshadowing a terrible end.

“Why did I have to agree to this?” he asked himself. “I could be taking a nap right now or having some fun with Lily and Frost.” The lazy man sighed and lowed his head. His hand reached around towards his back pocket. The edge of a paper peeked out of the pocket. Blaze pulled the paper out, unfolded it and read it in his mind.

Blaze, this is your teammate for the upcoming tournament. My name is Shron. Please get some rest, eat up, and meet me at Larentian Valley at exactly 8:00 am tomorrow. Bring any weapons and be at your best. In case you don’t know it’s me, I will be wearing a gray coat and black pants.

“Larentian… that’s what this place is called.” He placed the paper back in his back pocket and looked up at the sun. “According to the planet’s sun, it should be around eight o’clock.” He cracked his knuckles as he scoped the area. There, entering from the other side of the gorge was a man wearing a gray cot with black pants. He quickly pulled out the paper and read it. After a pause, the Elemental chuckled. “Great. A human. Instead of fighting one, I’m paired up with one. That’s a first.” Blaze walked towards the man until the two were facing each other five meters apart.

“Hello. You must be Blaze.”

Re: The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

OoC: What? No one else wants to post?

BiC:
The boy nodded. “Yes. And you are Shron?”

The Sheikah nodded back. He studied Blaze carefully. The young man wore a red t-shirt bearing a strange emblem with fire. That same symbol was repeated on his medium-tanned skin. His pants were black, and his shoes a dark, dreary grey. He was short and small, yet muscular. He had good muscle tone.

Shron turned his head and pointed to the writing on the wall. He lookd back at Blaze. “Can you read this?”

Blaze went up to it, no expression. He shook his head. “No.”

He ran his finger along the faded lettering. “Neither can I. But still…” he lowered his head and eyes, “it told me something.”

Blaze blinked a few times, and raised an eyebrow.

Shron took in a breath and jumped. He turned around, placed his arms on the ground, and held them sturdily. He closed his eyes. “They’re coming.” He reopened his eyes and turned back around, facing Blaze. “What’s your fighting style?”

“I use speed to my advantage. That, and I can control flames.”

“Same as I.” he started running. “Come on!”

The ran through jagged pathways. Small shrubs grew around, but were hardly noticable. They came to a large clearing that seperated into five or six other paths.

There was an earie silence as everything stood still.

Re: The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

Ooc: Well, it would be hard to post when the first was directed toward your character. Oh well, here's mine. It's not that long though.

Bic:

Two vague figures stood in the strange rocky terrain. They appeared to be quite skilled in combat, both about the same height and weight, middle aged. One’s head covered in brown hair while the other owned a patch of black. They didn’t look like they would be much of a challenge to what they were about to face. Of course, these sort of things are hard to tell.

About fifty meters south of the warriors’ position was an invisible force. The force hovered silently in place, watching his two next victims closely. Deep inside their minds the unseen force could sense a delicious power. A power he would gladly absorb into his own. An opportunity like this didn’t come up every day.

Sin slithered his invisible body through the sky like a flying serpent, moving quickly toward his two unsuspecting targets. As Sin got close enough to see their faces, he could see that they already appeared as if they were ready for a fight. Had they spotted him? That would be impossible. No, they weren’t looking in his direction. Their eyes were drawn down a smooth natural pathway that cascaded down the mountain side. Someone else was coming, but what their intentions were was undetectable.

Without making the slightest sound, Sin lowered himself slowly to the ground, reappearing in his natural form. The two soldiers had their backs turned toward the monstrosity; they wouldn’t know what hit them. Of course, a coward would have killed them right then and there, but where’s the fun in that?

“Well, what do we have here?” The darkness spoke from beneath his hood, intentionally giving away his position. “Have the sheep lost their shepherds?”

Re: The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

OoC: I took so long to make such a short post... ;;>> I'll try to not dissapoint.

BiC:

Wind howled eerily through the looming mountain peaks. Celia walked along a smooth sandstone path through the mountains, her shoes booming against the stone with each step. With a few more seconds of walking down the path, she came across a clearing connecting several paths. In the center there were two men, seemingly awaiting something. “Perhaps this is who I came here to dispose of.

Celia could tell immediately that one of the men was a human. That gave her more than enough reason to kill him here and now. The other was a man the likes of which she’d never encountered before. She walked out into the clearing, making her presence known. “Look at what I’ve stumbled on. A human and… Whatever you might be.”

They turned to face her ready and rearing to fight. Before any of them could react, a spine chilling voice came from the opposite part of the clearing. “Well, what do we have here? Have the sheep lost their shepherds?”

After seeing who spoke, it gave Celia an idea. The impending fight would be much easier for her if she had a partner. The fact he wasn’t human gave her more incentive to team up with him. While the human and his partner were distracted, she sidestepped toward the dark figure. Celia soon found herself a mere yard away from the chill inducing fighter.

“The odds would be better if we worked together. Even if it was just for a moment,” Celia said to the cloaked male.

He twisted his head in her direction and Celia almost felt frightened by his gaze. He had two glowing eyes that were inspecting every inch of the demon girl. “Hmm… Though I really don’t need any help, backup from a demon could serve as an advantage...”

“Well, then, I’m Celia. You don’t have to worry about me, just try not to hold me down,” She spoke with confidence and spun to face her enemies clutching her staff tightly.

Re: The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

Blaze faced his opponents with a blank look on his face. He stood normally and inspected his two enemies. The female one was a human… no, not a human. She was something deadlier, more sinister than a regular human. An aura of darkness surrounded her and gave her foreboding presence. One thing was certain, she was an Earthling; one Blaze had never met before. His eyes shifted towards the other. He was definitely not an Earthling. His body seemed to be lost in his cloak. The only thing showing physical properties was his head. At that moment, Blaze’s eyes met with his. An evil sensation overwhelmed the Elemental as he stared into the infinite abyss of those eyes. Suddenly, it struck him.

“Sin…” Blaze whispered silently. He could not believe it. Ten meters in front of him was the God of Darkness himself. Blaze now knew exactly what he was facing… and he could not have been more excited. He then looked at his ally, who was already in a fighting stance. Blaze bent his knees and crossed his arms. “Shron, I need you to step back a few meters,” Blaze silently asked his partner.

“Why? I’m here to fight too,” responded the human with an attitude. Blaze’s body began to steam and a few seconds later, fire arose and engulfed the Elemental. Shron and the female Earthling stepped back as the flames appeared. Sin, however, glared at the fighter with a menacing look on his darkened face. When the fire subsided, Blaze showed off a new appearance. His hair and iris were red and a ring of fire surrounded his feet. The newly red-haired fighter tilted his head towards Shron.

“That’s why,” Blaze said. “I’m not going to fool around like I usually do. I’ll take this fight seriously.”

“Fighting at your strongest or giving yourself up. It does not matter which path you choose, they will all lead to the grave,” said the darkness as he crept closer to the warriors. Shron readied his sword as Blaze entered his stance.

“Excuse me,” said a voice from behind the shadow. “If you don’t mind, I would like the human.” The girl held her staff tight and stared into the eyes of Shron.

“Then the one who uses fire shall be mine to slaughter,” responded the dark god. Shron turned to his partner for confirmation, but then he realized, he did not need it. The Elemental had already had his eyes fixed on the other. The Sheikah smiled with excitement.

“Time to start this thing.” Shron lunged at the girl, but she quickly sidestepped out of the way. Shron ran to one of the pathways as the girl followed. This left Blaze and Sin alone in the valley. Sin carefully examined his opponent, as so did Blaze. He had only heard of the stories of Sin. Stories of unimaginable horror inflicted upon the planet. Not only did this wicked being decimate countries and massacre millions. But he did it using the elements.

“Do you wish for your end to be prolonged or did wish to end it quickly?” Sin asked menacingly. With his right hand, Blaze extended his index and middle fingers and put them together. Then, his fingers were suddenly surrounded by a fiery aura. He then did the same with his left hand. Blaze placed his arms by his sides and leaned forward.

“The faster, the better.” Blaze sprinted towards the enemy. Sin’s yellow eyes widened to Blaze’s speed. Before he knew it, Blaze was already behind him. “Ember Blade!” He slashed his right hand across the back of Sin, but it felt as though he did not hit anything but the cloak. Blaze leaped back.

“You are too hasty. No matter how fast you are, remember, if you rush into battle without knowing your opponent, you are sure to lose,” Sin replied smugly. The figure flung his sleeves open and a sword came from under the sleeve into his hands. Sin glided over and attacked Blaze with a horizontal strike. Blaze blocked the attack with his Ember Blades, but the force of the swing pushed Blaze to the ground and he hit his head hard. After shaking the pain of and getting back up, he noticed Sin was gone. The flame warrior knew where he was. He tried to turn around when a frightening pain on his back came that sent shivers down his spine. He fell to the ground as the blood gushed from his back.

The Elemental lied there, almost helpless, as Sin raised his weapons for another strike. Blaze put his two fingers together and pointed at the floor. “Ember!” Just then, a beam of fire shot out from his fingers and propelled him in the sky. Sin looked up and flew after him. Blaze flipped himself upright and saw Sin coming at him fast. He extended all his fingers and separated them. Soon after, a small fireball appeared over each finger. Blaze then fused them together creating a large ball of fire in his palms. He aimed it at the shrouded being. “10x Ember!” Before he knew it, Sin was engulfed in a beam of pure fire. After the beam diminished, Sin hit the ground, leaving an imprint of his hands, feet and head only. Just as Blaze landed on the ground, Sin stood up.

Alright. I managed to hurt him a bit, but it doesn't look like it hurt him at all. No scratches at all. I can't believe that's all my 10x Ember did to him, at Boost Form no less. Okay, think. He’s just as fast as me in this form, perhaps faster; I can’t seem to hit his body; and his strength and defense surpasses my own. What can I do? The red-eyed fighter asked himself. At that moment, Blaze noticed the imprints Sin made in the ground. So, only his hands, feet and head are solid. I have to attack those points. Now the real problem is getting close enough.

“Will you come, or should I?” Just as Sin was about to attack, a body came flying past Sin and Blaze.

OoC: I realize it's a bad way to end a post, but I needed to put the others in the battle.

Re: The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

OoC: Meh... Since we are almost out of time... And since no one else posts... I will.

BiC:

Celia pursued the human down the pathway relentlessly. His speed was impressive, but the demon girl wasn’t intimated at all. It just made her want to kill him all the more. She did find it remotely difficult to keep up with him, as her speed leaves much to be desired.

Suddenly, he stopped as though he had either just realized something or reached his destination. Celia tried to stop but found herself sliding on the sanded floor. Desperately, she attempted to stop. Before she knew it, the human was a mere foot away from where she stood. “Oh, crap. So much for keeping my distance…

“This is a suitable place to fight,” The human spoke calmly. At least, more so than a normal person about to fight.

Celia looked around and saw that they were in a pathway that spanned about two yards from side to side. It was in an odd looped shape. Celia could easily tell that if they would continue down the path, they’d find themselves in the clearing they were in moments ago.

She turned back just in time to see the human getting ready to attack her. There was no time to be subtle or even to form any black magic. She spun her staff and in one quick moment she dug it in his stomach. He doubled over slightly and looked up at her with distain. “I was busy looking around.” Celia said with a deep sigh.

“Hmph… I’m not going to lose to you,” He spoke determined and a bit short of breath.

“Your confidence won’t get you anywhere.” Celia plainly said. Some very simple rules to fight she had learned was to never make the first move and never show your opponent your back. Taking those two things in mind, she sidestepped around the human her front always facing him. She didn’t care whether he noticed it or not, but she was steadily getting farther away.

It felt like this confrontation was taking forever. Neither dared attack the other. Celia kept switching her staff from hand to hand and her human opponent anxiously clutched his sword. Seeing an opening or finally getting impatient, Celia’s foe lunged at her with a speed she would never expect a human to have. She hopped to the side and as he came in for a follow up swing she ducked. The demon rolled forward and backed up against the wall of the pathway. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the clearing.

Her temporary partner and his enemy were fighting ferociously. “We should crash their little party.

The sword wielding human cautiously neared her. Seeing this, Celia gained a strong feeling of hatred. Around her, dark energy began to form. Within seconds, it had taken the form of a colossal black bat. It flapped its wings repeatedly and as it gained force, it swooped down upon her opponent. He turned to run outside of the pathway and into the clearing, but the bat followed suit. The dark energy struck him in his back and the forced caused him to fly past both her ally and the man whose species she could not identify.

He landed with a loud thud and Celia expected him to just lay there in crippling pain, but surprisingly, her opponent started to get up. Celia ran into the clearing just in time to see the human standing with a triumphant look on his face. “What just happened?!

OoC: What is it with me and short posts... V.V

Re: The Elemental and Wolfen vs. Riku's_girl and Quark (Mountain Valley)

Ooc: Pfft, your post isn't short. 500 words is a good sized post. Remember quality over quantity and that's all you need... as long as the post isn't like... 100 words or something.

Bic:

Ignoring the other two warriors, Sin prepared his next move. The dark warrior had to restrain himself from laughing. “This fool’s power is solely fire based, and that’s one of my strongest elements. Unless he’s got an ace up his sleeve, this match is over.”

Without uttering another word, Sirius flicked his wrist several times toward his opponent. Four spheres of water darted from Sin’s hand toward the elemental. Easily, Blaze avoided each ball without any difficulty. Still, each move the elemental made gave his opponent more information on his style and personality.

Blaze stalled for a second or two then quickly sprinted toward the outer portion of the small natural arena. Moving quickly, Blaze circled around the menacing darkness, his index and middle fingers preparing for another blast. Faster and faster, he gained speed. He moved slowly up part of the wall where it slanted slightly, giving him a better shot. The small size of their fighting space only made him appear to move faster.

Sin retracted his swords back into his sleeves as if he was telling the twenty-two year old to give him his best shot. He stood still in one spot, allowing his opponent to get in a free hit.

Blaze aimed carefully, moving fast at the same time. Each finger charged with a small fireball, his hands connected to form one of his 10x ember attacks. Sin didn’t know that Blaze had already figured out his weak spot.

And it didn’t matter.

The beam of fire tore through Sin’s head, propelling him backwards toward a tall stone wall. His head connected first, shattering the smooth stone like cheap glass. A mere second later, Sin bounced from the wall and back to his battle stance.

Blaze slowed his running down to a stop, quickly regaining his energy. The fire from his attack didn’t seem to have harmed Sirius the least, but again he noticed the marks from where he had connected with the rock. It seemed to be the only thing that was hurting him.

Sin snapped his head to the side, the crash with the wall dazing him for a few moments. “You have anything besides fire?” Blaze’s opponent taunted, unimpressed by his attack. An invisible smirk formed on the warriors face, he knew the only attacks Blaze had were fire based and those attacks wouldn’t help him much in this fight.

Blaze had to think hard on this one; if his fire couldn’t hurt him than he would have to use something else.
