2009 EH Summer Awards: Suggestions

I was going to wait until the tourney was finished, but things are looking pretty dead for that right now, so, the show must go on.

This thread signals the start of the awards, and it has a pretty simple concept. I'll lay out the awards used last summer and you, the populace of the EH shall suggest new awards or discuss which old ones should go. You'd have to give a reason why a certain award should go, or why one should be added, though xP

1. This thread is not for arguing/flaming/trolling. Any instances of this will be met with deletions and infractions.

2. Off-topic discussion shall be deleted. Take it to the OoC or PM.

3. This thread shall be closed on Monday, the 3rd of August.

- Does this need explanation? We all think Power Shot is a silly goose, but really this award has no purpose in existing. I vote it out.

Ones to add:

Most Unique/Original Character
- We've all seen so many characters, but there are those few that stand out as being different. These gals and girls need an award.

Most Devastating Defeat
- Sort of speaks for itself. The person who was destroyed so hard their momma felt it. They might not have necessarily died, but the battle's favor was oh-so against them.

Most Devastating Victory
- The opposite of "Most Devastating Defeat"

Biggest Plot Twist
- Again, explains itself. The biggest twist that no one evar saw coming EVAR!!1 o_o

Most Insane Character
- With all of the crazy, off-their-rocker characters coming out these days it seems there's enough for them to start getting their own awards for how nutso they can be.

Most Crazy BA Member
- There's a Most Sane award, why not a most Insane award?

That's all I have for now. Maybe more later, I dunno.

EDIT: I also believe the Grand Inquisitor Gohan-Uto Sensei should be exempt from any and all awards.

I had a small (bad) idea for something to add:

Most Interesting Character

I've come across a few characters that have stood out from the rest. I don't mean like what qualities they have or anything, but how they act and what they do. I feel like I want to know more about these certain characters, so I read more into them and follow the RPs they participate in.


And then some random ones, for the sake of it:

Most Evil Character (may be covered by Most Malevolent Character, but eh)

Best Plot Element (may be covered by Best Plotline, but eh)

Biggest Wuss (character award, inspired by my own character Baltazar)


I'll probably come up with better ideas later, but you'll have to do with these improvisations for now.

Oh, another award idea:

Biggest Procrastinator.

Yeah... it needs to be there. Too many procrastinators here.

That might be impossible to find Anime has every weapon ever conceived. But, "Best Weapon" would definitely be an award (but not "most unique; not right out of an anime" )

I think this is covered mostly by "Most Benevolent" xP

I like the ones in bold. Most Interesting Character Name should be changed to Best Character name, I think.

If you put in Best Swordfighter, Best Hand-to-Hand, you'd have to put in Best Magic User, Best Gunslinger... you know? I think Most Strategic and all of those could be condensed to just "Best Overall Fighter", there's a lot of competition for that.

I like Fastest Replier, but I think it needs a fancier name. I have no clue what though.

The, "I have nothing better to do with my free time" award?

I've got a few suggestions.

The, "You've Still Got It!" award. Similar to the Best Newbie award, but goes to a veteran instead. Anybody who has been an active member for more than a year or two would qualify.

"Character We'd Love to Kill Off". Speaks for itself. : P

"Longest Pointless Post". Some people post long posts full of action and suspense. Some post long posts that take three times as many words as they should to get their point across. This award is for those.

"BA Nostalgia Moment". An award for events that happened in RP's a long time ago, which are still fondly remembered.

"OOC Nostalgia Moment". Same thing, but OOC Thread instead.

"In-Character Thread Nostalgia Moment". I remember the old, horrifically active IC Threads. And sometimes I remember more than I'd like to.

"BAer Most Likely to Become Famous". Whether it's for their writing, poetry writing, art abilities, personal hobbies, whatever could make them famous one day, this award is for those people.

"The Shipping Award". In fan-fiction, shipping is when a writer creates a couple that didn't exist in the actual canon. This award is, obviously, for shipping character coupls. The couples could make sense, or they could not. Whatever floats the BA's boat.

Most Bland/Boring/Flat/Uninteresting Character - direct opposite of the Most Unique/Interesting one. Pick a word.

Also,

Most Creative Member - people who produce some pretty intriguing and fascinating ideas.

Gag awards, huh?

Most Perverted Member/Character. - Who lifts up the most skirts? Who is the biggest 'ladiesman'? Who will probably spend time in prison for streaking? This Award is dedicated to those who's minds are constantly in the gutter.

Most Likely To Take Over The World. (Member and Character) - Alot of people -try- to take over the world, but who would actually have the smarts to do it? Extra points if they keep hold of their evil empire for ten or more years.

Most Likely To Die Surfing TV Tropes. (Member) - This award is dedicated to the lost souls who wander that cursed site day in and day out. But which of our number has the greatest chance of joining these legions of the damned?

Best Acting During The Annual EH Prank. - Acting makes the world go 'round... or is that money? Well, either way, this award goes to the person who did the best job confounding the masses during our annual prank.

Most Clumsy Character. - No! Not the good china! *Crash* That's what I get for inviting the biggest clutz to my house. This award goes to the person who is most likely to cause *Ten Million Dollars in Damages with a single touch.

*Actual amount may vary.

Biggest Mary-Sue. - This award goes to the character who's creator never had an original idea in their life. So many cliches are rolled into one here that Albert Einstien must be rolling in his grave!

Best Romance ought to stay. *crosses fingers in hopes DesquodexAviara will at least get a nomination* x3
