But a leper's a good idea. An immortal leper! That can't die! Only "dies" for about an hour, and then comes back to life to die a horrible death again! Talk about psychological issues, right?

Do it.

Alien is basically the same thing Tree Shade is, but he's been that way for much longer... so... he does die and come back to life.

Well, actually, there's a cure for leprosy now... Has been for about three decades, possibly longer, I dunno. Even once it's past the curable stage, it can still be treated very effectively and sterilized so you can lead a normal life. Now, if your character is a carrier, that's interesting. But wait, leprosy is a bacteria, not a virus... Can you be a carrier for bacteria? While remaining immune, I mean. Hmmm...I like that idea. But forget leprosy, you should make a fictional disease so you can fiddle around with it, leave a bit of mystery. It is the source of your character's power, as well as a curse! Perhaps it gives him superhuman strength, but he can't control it? Maybe he has telepathy, but anyone he uses it on suffers brain damage? I'm liking this idea more and more by the second.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this much discussion from declaring the noseless one a leper. (And the lack of a nose is what prompted that.)

I'VE GOT IT!

Michael Jackson wasn't human. He was actually a completely different species! The field he used to keep all the false body parts on was falling into disrepair, but he couldn't get the materials to fix it. The Earth's increasingly unstable magnetic field destabilizes the engines used in interstellar travel, so even if his ship hadn't crashed due to turbulence on the way in, he couldn't leave! Michael Jackson is asexual. None knew, but he fostered a son. The reason he brought little children over is because his son was lonely and couldn't be let out into public (due to his appearance). Your character is the alien son of Michael Jackson.

I'm so ****ing epic. Hehe...guess I haven't lost my touch after all.

Edit: Also, cool idea I just came up with. The fictional disease I mentioned? It could be a sickness of one's psychic aura. How badass is that? It'd taint his empathic connection with others, making them feel uncomfortable around him. Oh! He could have random psychic spikes. He would only experience intense headaches, but people around him would see flashes, images from his or their memories or nightmares. Sometimes, the outburst would turn a lesser man wicked...even violent.

Dude, if you don't use this idea, I revoke your RPing privileges. I can do that. Don't make me. I mean, seriously. I just created the alien son of Michael Jackson with a psychic illness. What more do you want?
