BAers! The ZU Staff needs you!

( I can't believe Cody put me up to this )

Right now, Zelda Universe is severely lacking Content Staff and because of the lack of updating, we're beginning to lose viewers. We need the best writers ZU has to offer, which is why this thread is here, in the Village. Most of the BAers are the highest quality writers, so... join the staff, please There are a lot of things that need doing; articles/images for Brawl, up-to-date walkthroughs for the Zelda games, and Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland (although I doubt any of you played that >>).

Wait, let me try answering this in a more roleplayish way so I can attempt to lure more people in. Here we go! *ahem*

As you advance further into the dungeon you enter a huge cavern, dimly lit by sunlight peeking through from a distant ceiling. It seems to be devoid of monsters, but there is a much larger curiosity in this room. Three gigantic doors stand before you, perhaps built for a people much larger than your own. One of the doors is far to your left, with a finely adorned plaque stating "If You Wish To Create Walkthroughs And Game Content, Enter Here." Another similar doorway is to your right, and its plaque states "If You Wish To Write Zelda/Nintendo-Related Articles, Enter Here." Directly at the other end of the cavern, there is another door, that seems to be both similar and not similar to the other two doors at the same time. Its plaque has fallen off the door, but when you pick it up you see that it states "If You Wish To Write Newsposts, Enter Here."

As you turn back from studying the doors, you notice that the entrance you came in from has disappeared, replaced by a sheer wall of rock no different from the rest of the cave. Frantically, you search the area in which you last saw the entrance, but to no avail. Now, you must decide between one of the three remaining exits to this cave. In fact, now it is time to choose your own adventure.

You look carefully at the choices, each more vague and frightening than the last. You know you do not have much time left to choose, the air was thinning around you making breathing harder and harder with each passing second. With the tension rising you charge forward slamming through the door right in front of you; The plaque stating "If You Wish To Write Zelda/Nintendo-Related Articles, Enter Here." falling to the ground as the door slams behind you.

As you lift yourself from the ground, a handsome, charismatic man appears in front of you. He introduces himself as Cody and tells you that it is time for your first test - to write an article as an example of your skills. Also, he suggests that you send it to him by PM and that the deadline is in three days time.

COMPLETE EDIT: Well, I got rid of the last post because it sounded idiotic... So, here we go!

Kurai Chi walks into the cavern, coolly surveying the three doors. "Heh... the entrance will be gone by now..." he mutters to himself. "Might as well pick..."

He puts his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket and walks into the plaqueless door.

Ooc: I believe that would be newsposts!

HH walks into the cavern. Looking from door to door, he strokes his chin. Finally, he plops to the ground and pulls a grilled cheese sandwich from his pack.

"Meh, I'll do it later."

Cool, I has tons of little tips and trick I'd love to share in stuffs. Besides, back in the day I'd write walkthroughs for my firends, so I suppose the choice is obvious for me. =P Asides, I've been looking into streatching my dominion for some time. Muahahahaha! >=3

If you want an RP Answer:

The dark figure slowly crept into the bearly lit room, unable to withstand the light of the outside world. Much to their suprise, the door they entered slammed shut, sealing them off from the outside world as the door gave way to the grey stone walls. Still, the figure did not feel fear, nor anger at their apparent entrapment.

As if on cue, three identical doors appeared on the other side of the room. The figure smiled as plaques materialized on them, reading off different words. Slowly, but surely it crept over to the door which bore the words, "Walkthroughs/Guides". The door swifly slammed shut behind the figure in the flowing black robes.

The air trembled as the figure entered the cavern. The door the figure entered by disintegrated, being replaced by a sheer wall of stone not unlike the other walls of the cavern. The figure was dressed in dark clothing, the sound of its boots hitting the ground and its cloak fluttering behind it resounded through the room as the figure approached the three doors that occupied the far wall of the cavern. The only thing the figure wore that wasn't black was the large symbol on its cloak, the Greek letter lambda in pure magenta. Light itself hid its face from the figure's presence, leaving an aura of darkness around it.

Lysis walked to the middle of the room. He lifted up the brim of his hat with one gloved hand, and lowered his sunglasses with the other. He read the two plaques that he could see, pondering over what they said. He glanced at the third plaque, which was face down on the ground. Holding the palm of his hand out towards it, the plaque lifted itself off the floor and turned to show its face to Lysis' bright magenta eyes. Reading it, he raised his right eyebrow and thought deeply about what it said.

Sensing another presence nearby, Lysis closed his eyes and searched with his mind. After a moment, he spoke.

"Cody," he said, seemingly to no one, and intuitively knowing the divine dragoon's name. His deep voice resounded through the cavern, and the walls themselves shuddered when they heard it, retracting as far as they could from the source of the sound. "Tell me more. What does this position entail? What sort of articles must be written? What is a 'newspost'? Yes, tell me...everything." With that, his voice fell silent, he stood still, and he waited.

I'd say this particular recrutment drive is over, since no one has posted since around March. If you wish to inquire about a position on the site staff, then your best bet would be to contact one of the webmasters or administrators.

Letsee... after a prolonged departure from ZU and journeying through the land of Gaiaonline.com -in order to increase my knowledge and unlock the true potential of my imagination- I have returned to ZU for good so that I may assist in teaching our new BAers and other BAers that may be in need to renew their writing skills or be enlightened by the teachings I have to offer (based upon my previous experiances).

Areas that I'm slightly less experianced include: gathering information on the latest walkthroughs/cheats/games, moderating forums (I'm sure you have plenty of mods though).

However, I do possess experiance in writing information articles on whatever ZU may be in need of and I'm very successful in gathering information from people I meet day-to-day at school or wherever traveling throughout my day takes me to. Many of the people I meet have aquired sufficient information to supply to me about the games (new and old) they play on a daily basis and stuff like that.

Some of my passions include music, limited playing on the piano/acoustic&electric guitar, sports, etc. (the usual teenager passions I believe ).

~Well, that's about it ...less I could think of more stuff to add to my resume .
