Unique, easy to read, simple yet detailed. I got a pretty good feel for the character even though I only skimmed (I dragged the snow shovel so I got a good bit). The sword strikes me as a little odd but not in a negative way just a "o__o piano sword!" kind of way.

The feel I get for the family is a Montana/Petrocchi feel (Full marks for the person who can give me that reference), so I almost feel as though Venice may not be a great location but honestly it doesn't make enough of difference to care.

Also:

Alex is strikingly handsome, but yet again, aren't all Italians?

Well, I adore Venice, so I wanted to place him there, but if you have another location in mind, feel free to give it. =3 And yeah, the piano sword.. it's only the handle. It's black and white only, but it doesn't resemble anything like piano, except for the striking sounds of musical notes. xD

Venice wasn't quite so artsy to me a city, as Florence or Milan (Damn Medicis). It was more "Republic! Trade! Economic competition!"
