Sounds great! I still haven't used Tree Shade yet. xP I've proposed RPs and Battles to several people, but we haven't really discussed it in detail. PM me if you want to battle/RP, otherwise... um... don't. xD

To be honest, I’m not enjoying the strict “no power playing policy” that we have in the OotBA right now. I think it was running better before. Take this post for instance. Sure, Shot doesn’t portray my personality perfectly. I’d be more scowly and shaking my head and be a bit in disbelief that someone can actually have the nerve talk like that to someone else, and less hide my tail between my legs. But he’s not too far off from what would actually happen, plus it’s a very entertaining post.

Everything that’s happening now has already happened before. They’re just beating around the bush and taking an even longer time of it because they can only do one little thing each post. Course, I’m not saying it’s horrible, I just like the way it was before better.

Go stick your head in the sand, I)ragonboi. No powerplaying is always better. Just because posts aren't long pieces of literate genius with microthemes of their own, with each sentence laying claim to its own freakin' demesne on the page, doesn't make them less worthwhile. The EH is about roleplaying, not necessarily writing. The (subtle) difference is that roleplaying is about pretending to be someone or something you're not, in this case through literature, while writing is telling a story using characters. In roleplaying, your character should be a person, not a thing.

No one else can be another person, so no one else can play the person of your character but you. That's my take, anyway.

That's the point I've been trying to drive home in here for the past two days or so, but people just don't understand. xP

You have to abandon subtlety with these people. They don't understand the hard concepts. I shudder to think what would happen if Zorolo or Power Shot got into a game of Cops and Robbers. They would have whole scenes of lengthy thought and oratory before they ever actually got into catching a robber, then they would have to taunt them in the process of catching them, and then, to top it off, they would have to (for Zorolo) reprimand them on the wrongness of their ways and release them to be instantaneously reformed members of society OR (for Power Shot) brutally murder them.

That's assuming the robbers didn't get away while Power Shot struck just the right pose and Zorolo tried to unravel their psychological reasons for theiving.

I don't think that could have been described any more accurately... unless you used bigger, more complicated words.

Talking of which, have Zorolo been active lately? Haven't seen him around for a very long time now.
