So I'm testing out my brother's old laptop that he gave me because he bought himself a new one. Using the mouse pad-thingy is going to take some getting used to, as will the flat keyboard, but... it's working pretty well so far. ^^;;

Mouse pad-thingy as in touch pad? I hate those, so I bought a proper computer mouse for my laptop. Wireless USB and only needs one AA battery every 5 months or so. ^_^

Yeah, that's what I meant. X3 If I wasn't strapped for cash, I'd look into getting a mouse. Do you remember how much yours was? I think I'd be okay on batteries since I keep some around for my Wiimote anyway.

My desktop compy's mouse died last week... I use a pen as my mouse right now!


So, because my crazy school is crazy, I've got a week off (sorta) now. I was thinking I wanna start something BA-related, since my only active RP seems to be on hiatus.

Should I...rewrite old characters, or think of an RP idea?

You should definitely work on new stuff. Make a new character or start an RP.

If you wanted to start something, I'd totally be up for joining you, my threadmates are on the slow-to-reply side.

I found one for $12 a few weeks ago at a local computer shop... Not the best thing ever, but it works.

20-30 dollars for a decent one, but there can be really cheap ones ($10ish) which wouldn't last long, and really expensive ones ($40+) which are higher quality in some ways, but aren't really worth it. Make sure to get an optical mouse and not a ball mouse (unreliable these days) or laser mouse (technically great; financially EXPENSIVE X3). And a mousepad (el cheapos will do here) is practically a must; optical mice hate most surfaces.

You could use a drawing tablet as a mouse substitute if you wanted though. You've got one of those already, yeah? I find them better than touch pads but worse than real mice.

Funny you should mention that. Trust me: A winner is touchpad. It can be just as friendly as the mouse. Sure, it was different, but change is good, eh? It's just a matter of using your middle finger effectively. keep up the good work te. ^-^

Are you insulting my big fingers? They are what I use when I fumble around trying to use the touchpad when I'm out of batteries and away from my drawing tablet.

Translation to not a question: My fingers are too bulky to effectively use a touchpad.

The touchpad is evil. It cannot even begin to compare with the fluidity of a mouse, much less a tablet. Plus, my laptop has it on the left even though I'm right-handed. >>

Why do some swords have barbs? Surely they'd be harder to get out of the bloodied flesh of the person you are hacking to pieces? Not very practical in my opinion

My Mom hates my touchpad. I don't mind, but I use a mouse most of the time. I have no idea what kind it is, but I know it's not a ball and I don't use a mousepad, so I'm guessing optical or laser. Works fine on most surfaces for me. Oh. Optical. There we go.
