As a year has passed since I first joined the BA, many things have happened, but I would like to highlight now how everybody's characters have grown. If you remember this, I'm surprised and honored, but I would like to re-ask everybody a character question which was one of my first few posts in an OoC thread:

Tera: Although Tera has few very important memories (mainly of her "sisters"), there are enough that she'd prefer not losing them. Tera's most valuable possession is a unique object (her staff) and is what lets her travel safely through the void, and so she'd not want to lose that either. In the end, as she has four other people who are too important to her for her to burden them with the fact of her own death, Tera would relectantly decide to lose her memories.

Raven: Unfortunately, this one is rather simple. None of Raven's possessions are irreplacable, so she'd decide to lose whatever the omnipotent being decided was her most valuable.

Thira: Similar to Tera, Thira has both memories and possessions important to her. Eventually though, she would opt to lose her mithril bow, as although it is what lets her travel through the void, she knows that she would be able to both get a new bow, and get crystals which would allow her passage into the void.

Lumia: In this situation, Lumia would use her clairvoyance to discover the exact nature of each option, and upon finding out that losing her memories would have no effect on her personality or abilities whatsoever, she'd opt to lose them. She could always get new memories, and if any of her "sisters" found her, they'd do their best to remind her of who she was. (note that this is counted as post-OotBA; Lumia will have a possession worth keeping by then)

Rachael: Possessions without a doubt. She came into the world with nothing, and so is content to have nothing. It's all replacable anyway. :/


And in case anybody was wondering (which I doubt) and didn't bother to check, in 27 hours it will have been exactly one year since I last posted this question, give or take a few minutes.

I'm noticing an increasing obsession with Greek in the BA. It all started with Lysis, and now Wolfen has his name in his CR. Strangely, Sabbo is going in the opposite direction with Japanese. XD

I'm Greek :3 Funny I rarely use Greek references, though...all my names and stuff are translations to my story's language through a fixed process I developed, so they often end up sounding like other languages, but they really don't mean anything and aren't inspired by them.

For example, most people think I got Itsuya from Japanese, but I got it the same way as Dayrose. ^_~

I remember this question pretty well. You're reviving a lot of old things lately, aren't you? : P

Cadenza: This will perhaps be the most different of my answers from a year ago. Last time, I said possessions--but since then, she's been given Johnny's amulet. And while with any other item, the object might be worthless without the memories attached to it, this particular amulet is one that provides its user with limitless stamina while they wear it, eliminating the need for food, sleep, etc. And the gypsy's often getting herself into situations where, because of neglect or her own slightly self-destructive ways (alcoholism), this amulet's power is all that's really keeping her alive or conscious. There's no chance she'd choose death voluntarily, and choosing possessions now would be more or less just like choosing death because it'd mean the loss of her amulet, so... in the end, she'd have to pick losing her memories. Which, honestly, might help reduce/eliminate some of those self-destructive/risky behaviors to begin with.

I think all my other characters would mainly stay with what they'd picked before, which was in most cases, possessions.

This question made me realize that Taen doesn't have any possessions at all. O.o

I can! ... with a translator. My relatives on one side are English. Pip Pip Cheerio. And Indian on the other. With a bit of Spanish. Questionable as to whether I'm also part Irish or not.

Dadda's a mutt like me! : D Mutts are awesome--you rarely get the same mix of things twice, and it turns up such cool people, like singers that know Japanese, English, French, and Arabic, and actors with really unique looks. <3

That's fair enough, but what about character/s you made between when I first asked the question and now?
