I'm the same way. Trust me when I say you can't use what I said to spoil anything. By the way, the game has three different endings. At the very end, depending on what you do inside the building with the big glowy thingy after the final boss, you'll get one of three different endings. I only bothered to get one in which the good guys were victorious.

...You're still doing it. Now I know there's only THREE different endings. Bah.

But...it's only 15 minutes into the game. o.O It happens right after the cut-scene after the two playable cops leave the restaurant.

That might possibly be a good deterrent, yes.
