Meh, even the original Transformers were product placement. They were actually made to promote a line of toys.

Only transformers I liked was Beast Wars.

Again, not arguing the fact. But which is more whoreish? Going in with the open intention of merchandising, or making the show knowing you're going to merchandise the hell out of it (e.g Pokemon and every kid movie EVER)?

More whorish? I'd say standing on the side of the street in the redlight district saying "Hey, baby, wanna have a good time?"

I loved Transformers. It was one of if not my absolute favourite show as a kid. ^^

But owning up to it counts for something.
That's ok, I grew up on Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man, and Thundercats. They were corny, and awful looking back on them now, but then most of the stuff we <3 as kids we realize is silly as we get older.

I don't think I was ever a fan of giant mecha shows. :/

Omg... The stupidity of that one ranked right up there with Captain Planet! XD and the remake of Johnny Quest.

I loved Beast Wars, too. Shame it was so short-lived.

I watched ****ing rugrats as a kid.

It was best.

It makes me sad that my half-siblings are watching educational crap rather than the great shows that were around ~15 years ago. (Or anything more than around 5 years ago, really)

I don't miss **** like Captain Planet though.
