Lachyn walked up to the doors below the soaring archway. He swallowed, his tongue between his teeth. He'd been so sure when he'd heard about the Dome, but now that he was here, he was beginning to have misgivings. Beyond the marble wall, he could see the Dome itself, sparkling in the sunlight as though plated with diamond. Kellith felt no closer here than she had for the whole journey.
He remembered, vaguely, as if through a curtain, her voice, angry, shouting.
"Ever since you found that medallion, I haven't even been able to tell what you're feeling! Not that I need our connection to know that.
All you want is to fight. What are you turning into, Lachyn?
"A battle-hungry monster," he whispered. "Like you are now."
He raised a hand and knocked three times on the doors, and they swung forward to admit him.
Inside was a huge crowd of fighters. Creatures and people of all sorts talked, laughed, argued. IT was almost overwhelming.
"Hello?" called Lachyn loudly, hoping he could be heard over the noise. "Can anyone tell me where to find a teacher?"
OoC: That link to Lachyn the Wanderer's profile is
here.
I don't mind particularly who teaches me, but constructive criticism is HIGHLY appreciated.
