The Dome: Information

The Dome is placed in a multitude of universes. It spans across millions of galaxies but at the same time it can be so small that one can walk around it in a single day. No one really knows the true meaning of the Dome, its powers lies hidden to the known races. But long has it now served as training grounds for eager warriors. The Dome is filled with chambers, each possessing a unique environment. At the center of the Dome, or sometimes at its very north edge, lie the creature grounds. It houses beings from all worlds, ranging from chickens to monsters created only for one purpose, to kill. To reach the Dome, and more importantly, to survive it, one must be ready to give everything.


The rules of the Dome

• Of course, the forums rules still apply.
  
• Act respectfully towards your teachers and fellow students.
  
• Stay on topic, and in character at all times.
  
• If you join in a battle outside the Dome, and you want it to count towards your graduation, post a link in here.
  
• Comments and Criticism should be kept to a PM.
  
• Be mature and think about the fact that the forums apply to all ages. If your post contains a heavy amount of gore, put a warning at the top of your post.
  
• You are not allowed to have several characters in the school, unless you’ve proven capable of it.
• Only Teachers approved and recognized by the Council may run official Homerooms and claim students. (Or a Teacher Assistant can claim students, if their respective Teacher permits it.)

How to join.

To be part of the Dome, you must first of all have an approved character. Post it in the Character Approval board. As soon as someone has approved of your character (with that I mean the people that are allowed to approve characters. Don’t go ask some stranger on the street), you are allowed to join the Dome. To do so, post a link to your character thread, along with an introduction, describing how your BA character reaches the Dome. Keep in mind that the Dome can be in all universes at once, so there’s no need for your character to zoom through space in search for it.

Once you are in school, you are to stay in character at all times. If you need to post something out of character, make sure it’s separated from your post. Easiest way is to first write OoC (=Out of Character). BiC (=Back in Character) means that you are once again role-playing.

Studies and Graduation.

As soon as you’ve been accepted to the Dome, you’ll receive assignments. These can range from fighting farmyard animals to stealing treasure from a dragon. Everything done here is to practise your skills in RPG. Don’t be surprised if you are given assignments where violence is to be avoided. After each assignment, you’ll be given a grade by the teaching character. When your RPG skills are on an acceptable level, you’ll go through your graduation, often by fighting one of the teachers.

Ok so we have to have a character approved. Do we also have to have fought in the Battle Arena before? Or have done anything in particualar?

Nope. All you need is a character to start battling, though it is usually recommended you join the battle school before you do so.

How do I join in the battle school?

First you need a approved character like it says above.

Then finally something it wasn't so clear on post in this thread asking for a teacher and wait for someone to take you in. Make sure when you post in that thread you character link is somewhere like maybe your sig.

Do we have to wait for the next semester to come about? Or could I join now? (assuming I had a character) If I must wait, when will the next semester come about?

Nope, just ask anytime you want when you have a character approved.

You do not need to wait. When you have your character, go to the thread, and apply to be taught. Simple as that.

It said up there something about posting how your character reaches the Dome. Where and when exactly do I post this. Like before or after requesting a teacher, and where?

After you have a teacher, yes. From then on, all questions should be PMed to your teacher.

excuse me, i'm new to this whole RPG. how do we conduct an RPG like this? i've been writing a character, but i assumed i would be writing my adventures like chapters in a novel. would someone please take pity on the newbie and explain everything in these categories:
-what is Amphitheater?
-what is Battle Arena?
-how do i write for each one?
i need detailed explanations, so a PM would be preferred. ( i really HATE being the one without a clue, but i can't seem to find answers anywhere else)

-what is Amphitheater? That's what this whole section is called.
-what is Battle Arena? That's the section most used you would put your battle and quest that have a lot of fighting there.
-how do i write for each one? Most people would write them in third person. Just lot at any numbers of battles that are in the BA section. Other good idea is you could read some of the battles I started. Just go under my profile and hit find all threads started by me.

Actually, that belongs in the battle school. First you'll have to find a teacher, by means of this thread, then you can begin your training thread and start posting.

When someone says "report to thier homeroom" were exactly do you go?

You go to "Battle School" in "The Dome". The homerooms should be some of the first threads you see.

First of all you need to post that Character http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/characters/ in that forum. Make a new thread with your character name or something. I've got a really noobish question... how do you put links to your character into a sig or message???

I have a question! If you get a teacher and then your character is in the Dome can your character do a battle or something? or is it once your in the Dome your in until you graduate?
