Re: The Dome - Unison
OoC: This is a bit confusing at the moment, but I'll try my best to fit in.
BiC: lance grabbed his left leg and stratched it up to his back. He felt a strong tugging sensation, though he held it in this position and then proceeded to grab his other leg and do the same thing to it. Unfortunately, he had only just remembered that he had a wound on his leg from the day before when he was sparring with another warrior from the dome. The gash was very deep and still tender, so when he touched it he gasped and started hopping around crazily on his left foot, using his hands to tabalize himself while his bloody right leg was still tucked behind his back. He started tilting to the right, and before he knew what happened he crashed into the wall. Thuump! Lance rubbed his head and inspected the wall. It looked like it had taken more damage than he had. He counted his injuries. 1...2...3...not including the dent in the wall, though that was less significant because it would most likely repair itself anyway... Lance got up and dusted himself off. His leg would definately need a bandage. He was thinking that every room in the Dome should have them when he heard voices. "Why do you think the rooms were locked? I've never had trouble getting into mine before." "Me neither," said another voice. This one was a more distinct voice, though he could still not tell if they were a men's or woman's voice. He was about to decided to move further upwards when he heard someone shout. "Boo!" he heard some commotion up ahead, and more voices talking he crept forward (with difficulty, considering his leg) and took a peek around the corner. Three people (or what he thought were people) were standing in the main area of the Dome. One lookd slightly dragonesk, while the other looked like a cross between a wolf/fox and a human, while the other people looked quite normal. One was a quite radiant man, with long whiteish blonde hair that sparkled magnificently, while the oterh seemed quite young, though older than Lance. The dragoon like person slapped the fox/wolf man acroos the face and realized who it was. She gave him a disgruntled look. "Oh, it's just you," She said, sighing. She offered a hand to the fox(or wolfman, he still couln't tell), who was on the ground, and helped him up. "We'er going to the library, do you want to come, too?" Lance narrowed his eyes. The dome had a library? The man nodded."Um, sure." Lance decided now was a good time to step in. "Hi, I was just wonderi-" He recoiled as he felt a strong hand slap his face. He looked up and saw the dragoon girl staring at him from cold, hard eyes. "Who are you?" Lance backed away a few steps, and then unbuckled his staff from his back. That's none of your business. Plus, I could ask the same question. Who are you?

Re: The Dome - Unison
Ooc: Must… keep… thread…alive
Ignoring the two newcomers, Valion sheathed his sword and started to walk for the library, stopping at the end of the hall. “Are you coming or not?” the angel shouted to the others. Turning a corner, Valion heard panting noises as the others jogged to catch up with him. Smiling inwardly, Valion proceeded back to the library where he had come from earlier. “Yuck, what’s all this stuff on the floor?” Kai shouted, trying to keep from slipping on the blood. “Rhino demon blood, don’t worry, it doesn’t stain the soles of your shoes,” the cyber angel said casually, not bothering to turn round to see the shocked look on the woman’s face. After a few minutes of careful walking the group was back at the library, which held no traces of the battle from earlier. “Find as many books on this place as you can, and pile them up there,” Valion said to the others, pointing a metallic finger at a nearby desk. The group nodded, and spilt up, each taking one row of shelves. |

Re: The Dome - Unison
Tuariv frowned as he left his room, followed by Gorin. Not only did they not know what to do about this new epidemic, they found that there was no where to go for the door immediatly shut itself as the two set foot outside.
".. Guess it doesn't like you." Gorin smirked. "Kiss my ass or shutup." As per usualy Gorin felt good annoying someone. Tuariv felt no need to do anything, he and Gorin were ignorant of the fact that the whole Dome had gone into a lockdown like phaze, nobody could get in or out. All visible doors wouldn't budge and no random doors would appear out of thin, one of the worst parts were though, no teachers in sight. Unbeknownst to Tuariv or Gorin, or any other students, as a slight rumbling that crept closer and closer. And only was it till it was to late that its presence was known. For out of knowhere came a massive shadow engulfed figure, charging down the hall, utterly blocking the way from which it came. As the two, currently companions turned, all that was said was, "Oh shi-" Then came a giant explosive sound, as if a bomb had detonated in the Dome. Tuariv was grabbed by the end of his tail and Gorin by his right leg as they were pulled down one of the main hallways.

Re: The Dome - Unison
IC:
Janeen had just recently woken up, as she walked out her room door, she noticed a shadow flying past her, two other people were being drug by it. "What the, what is going on here? What are you fi... Oof!" she was met by a shadow inside her room, the shadow then knocked her out, the door slamming behind her. Her sword was in the room, there were some really strange things happening she had no idea. The shadow walked up to her, it grabbed her neck, and held her up against the wall, she could recieve no air. "Urk, yo... your... killing... me!" she grunted. A person came up to the shadow, the person hit it with (insert weapon name/ or just weapon here) and it vanished. Dropping her to her knees. "Thank you, whoever you are," she said. BiC: Okay that should be enough. |

Re: The Dome - Unison
OoC: *claims hero mantle
*BiC: Lance watched as books fell from their shleves to the floor, landing with a soft whumpf. The mage-boy rolled his eyes, an unusual thing coming from him, and left the library. He turned a corner and heard something coming from his right. He walked over to the source of the noise and heard the sound increasing. It appeared to be the sound of a tussle. He ran quickly over to the room it was coming from to meet a peculiar sight. A dark, shadow like substance was seething around a girls neck, cutting off her air supply. The girl was relatively normal, aside from the dragon wings protruding from her back and the strange paint on her face. Lance gathered magic to himself and leapt at the shadow, staff poised to srike - when gained enough altitude he swiped his staff horizontally at the shadow. It slammed against the thing, and it was knocked out of the way. He heard it groan, and then it vanished, leaving only one thing-nothingness. Lance gracefully landed back on the floor, his energy reserves somewhat drained. He got up to see the girl looking dazed at Lance. "Thankyou, whoever you are," she said gratefully. Lance held out his hand. "Don't worry about it. What is with these shadow things?" The girl shrugged, a quizzical look noticeable from her face. " I have no idea...I just got out of bed and this thing attacked me. I had no chance..... By the way, my names Janeen" "Mines Lance," He replied. "I think we should go to the library now, its where all the others are" She gave him a confused look, but did not question him. He turned and went into a jog, recalling where the library was. He heard the sound of Janeen running behind him. They ran down a hallway, and walked through the large archway to teh library. Lance saw The android-like angel picking up books and walking them over ot a large pile of them, looking rather strained. He turned to lance and Janeen and glared at them murderously. "We would appreciate your help, thankyou-" Before Lance had a chance to reply anotehr rumble, not unlike the one before, struck the library. Many shadow-like figures swirled around the room, then fell to the ground and attacked the nearest person. Janeen and Lance readied themselves as the figures moved in for the attack.

Re: The Dome - Unison
"Darnit!" Janeen suddenly shouted. "I don't have my sword, I can't fight these things off without it." Grinding her teeth she flew up, keeping a keen watchful eye on the ground below. "Lance! Behind you," she yelled not a second late after seeing a shadow show up behind the man.
He turned around swinging his staff, it struck the shadow directly in the head. OoC: Okay that was a short post, but I only had one person to go with at the time. |

Re: The Dome - Unison
OoC: *feeds thread anti-thread dying potion*
Lance powered up some energy within his staff and blasted the aqua coloured spectre that erupted from it straight at two shadow figures. They both groaned and fell to the floor, vanishing in a puff of blackness. Lance could clearly see that most of the dome inhabitants had been knocked unconscious by the shadow beings after they had taken them by surprise, and now only two unlikely warriors remained- Janeen the dragon girl and Lance the spell caster. Janeen forced small amounts of energy out of her hands to keep the enemies at bay, while Lance attacked any that came closer. Eventually most of the shadow beings had disappeared, but they randomly popped up in the most unlikely places. He heard panting beside him as Janeen blasted another wave of fire at the shadows. " Kiagnada! " A wave of dragon fire energy blasted three more of the shadows into oblivion, while Lance twirled and thrust his staff expertly to dispatch two more of the foes. However, the ever-growing shadows just kept growing in number, coming from a great source of energy in the room. Lance and Janeen were losing energy and mana fast. "We can't take them all on. You hold them off and I'll create a barrier!" "Okay!" Lance clasped his hands together, and then held them up in the air. A soft rumbling ensued as he summoned power from the four elemental planes. "Shalwend, give me air!" As he said this, a white cloudy orb circulated around his hands. "Pyranasste, give me fire!" yet another orb joined the first, this one red and the colours dances around within it like fire. "Acwalander, give me water!" A blue watery orb span with the other two. "And finally... Gralkor the Cruel, bless us with earth!" A brown orb mixed with shads of green gather with the other three. The orbs drew close to each other and created a brilliant burst of rainbow coloured light, which covered Janeen and Lance with a shield of pure light. It radiated off the walls of the library, making the shadowy figures cower in fear. Lance then knew what he had to do. He grasped the power of light and elements in the palm of his hands and shot it onto the walls, creating a void of prismatic light that covered the shadow beings. There was a terrible sound from each of the spectres as they all vanished in a puff of black shadow. Lance gasped for air and fell to the floor, his energy very much drained. "I guess they don't like light..." Janeen bent down and smiled. "But we did it!" Suddenly Lance noticed something. At the very end of the library was a large gem. It throbbed, sending out pulses of dark energy throughout the place. "We need to get rid of that thing, Janeen", he said while pushing himself to his feet. That's probably what makes them!" Janeen took a step forward, but it was too late. She watched in horrified fascination as more shadow writhed across the floor and gathered together, forming a giant abyss of darkness. Out of the blackness came a colossal shadowy being; it was all black, and it had no legs. Its face was terrible, like something of a nightmare. The thing looked menacingly down at the two warriors, then raised one of its giant hands and pointed it straight at Janeen, sending a ray of magic down at her. She hopped quickly backwards as the floor where she was standing previously sizzled. "Please somebody helped us!"

Re: The Dome - Unison
OoC: in my best feeling, the word help calls out for someone gullible, so here goes.
BiC: "Did some one say help?" the fencer said as he appeared and jumped at the mighty beast. Zorlo was then thrown across. "Damn, thought I had that one, guess I gotta try harder." Zorlo had heard the call for help from his room and was now intent on helping to his ability. "I'm here to help, don't thank me just yet, we have these shadow things to crush!" Zorlo said as he swiped his sword at the creatures. "Dear god, there has to be someway to kill them. Maybe the large ones the source," he said as the others stared at him as though he was saying something new. The swordsman charge the creature with his sword in hand but again was repelled with ease. "Thats getting real annoying you know," he said as he charged up his Air Slash attack. He unleashed the powerful air technique, but the creature just held its hand out to absorb the force. "Yeah, comming here may have been a bad idea, but like all good things in life, this will take time. Any ideas?" he requested in a most astonished voice.

Re: The Dome - Unison
"You're a pretty random fella ya know?" Janeen told him. "No, I don't have any idea how to fight of this creature. Shall we try our best?" She walked over in front of the fierce shadow. "Come get some!" Just as the shadow started charging. She took off. If one of these shadows could hold me against the wall, than I can land ontop of this one. Once directly above the shadow, Janeen dropped. Landing directly on it's neck. Hehe, just a well placed kick, and he's gonna drop!
She got her leg in the perfect kicking position, and sent her foot straight into the back of the shadow's neck. It quickly flipped Janeen off of itself, while at the same time, shaking ludicrously. It stopped eventually, and started looking at Janeen. "Oh no!" she exclaimed. "I'm not gonna like this am I?" |

Re: The Dome - Unison
The shadow creature began to gather another energy beam in it's hand and was poised to kill Janeen. I have to save her. I could use her help to figure out how to defeat this stupid thing. Well, here goes. Zorlo charged towards Janeen as the creature released it's magic ray to destroy the Argonion. His released an Air Slash in hopes of deflecting the ray. The ray and the attack clashed while Zorlo jumped and pushed Janeen out of the way of the delayed beam.
"Now thing, lets see if I have what it takes to stop you," Zorlo shouted at the creature as he charged up another Air Slash, and quickly released it to reinforce his first. As the creature's beam was pushed back towards it's hand, it increased the power of it's beam and shreaded the Air Slash. "That didn't work, best I move now," Zorlo said calmly as he dashed out of the way of the traveling beam. "Janeen is your name right. Are you OK? I am in no position to fight this thing on my own. I need your help. Also, mage, of course your assistance is always good when you have some of your power back. I saw that shield of yours, it was quite amazing," Zorlo said as he stared back at the creature. "We will defeat you, you got that you dumb shadow thingy."

Re: The Dome - Unison
OoC: *Revives dying thread, then begins to write*
IC: Kandred stepped out of a small room covered in books, and the door slammed shut nehind him. "What is happening? That's the third door to lock itself today!" Kandred heard a loud banging and thumping, so he sprinted with elf-like agility, and ended up at the door of a library. He saw thousands of shadow creatures, a few unconscious fighters, three people in a poor atempt to fight off the shadows, and a gem of darkness. He took a step towards the room, and the huge doors slammed shut. "CRAP!!" Kandred began firing his magic against the door, but it was to no avail. He pounded it with his fists, but nothing happened. He began to get into a rage and was soon hacking and kicking at the door, using everything he had to destroy the door. The necklace of silver began to grow heavy about his neck, Not again, he thought with a sigh, the burden grew hot, and started to scorch his skin. He heard a voice from behind him, "Don't take it off if it is powerfull! The Dime is trying to take everything that is of imense powe- Aaargh!" Kandred spun around to see a boy running towards him, but the floor beneath him turned to liquid and sucked him up, once again becoming solid. Kandred felt the floor beneath him become softer, and then realised he did not want the same fate as the boy, he ran. I realise now, I remember reading somewhere that the Badgerden came from another universe than mine. The Dome let them into my world, killing my family and everything that I loved. That brought me here, at the Dome's will. The Dome then lets me into a world to get this burden that hangs around my neck, and then it leads me back here; the Dome is using people to gather things of power across the dimentions, and then it becomes more powerfull- unstoppable. I have to get out!! Kandred's burden became as hot as the sun, but he dared not take it off. "You cannot beat me when it comes to heat, Dome! Hear me?! I cannot be beaten by you!" "YES YOU CAN, KANDRED! OR SHOULD I SAY, CRIMSON?" Kandred's vision became clouded with his past life. It burnewd his very soul, but he broke free. "NO!!" Kandred's skin ripped, revealing feathers, scales, and skin. He grew as the burden began to taint Kandred again. He rose to fifty feet high, and sprouted demonic wings, a tail, horns, a long tongue, claws, and turned into a behemoth. "Graaagh!" Kandred lept forward into the pool of liquid, and swam away from the hole in the floor above him. He beagn smashing the floor from benath, and rent it open, stepping out again. He rent at the walls, leaving gashes metres deep. He rent the library door open, and walked through the wall around it, leaving a gaping hole from the main hallways into the library. He stood onto the gem, and it did not break; it dug into Kandred's behomth form's skin, and turned to liquid, starting to flow through his veins. The shadows screiched and howled, and they wrapped themselves around Kandred's large form, and he was consumed by a dark energy that he had never before encountered. His form burned away, leaving a burnt Kandred floating in the air; but he did not fall, he hung there, like a star in the evening sky.

Re: The Dome - Unison
OOC: Time to be different. (A post three days away from the last one? Preposterous!) NOTE: I am calling Dagger "Jaik". This is because I'm letting this be the Jaik-in-training, but with Effiringo. Don't ask me how he gets it, he just does. It makes as much sense as anything else in this crazy, power-hungry school we call The Dome.
IC: "Effringo, if I ever needed you before, I need you now more than ever. Let's see if we can open this door." Jaik took his dagger and shoved it deep into the crack of the door. "EFFRINGO!" Jaik barked. Creeeeeeaaaaaak. The door came open. "I must be the luckiest person in the universe to have such a blade. Jaik ran into the room and opened the drawer. "Where did I put that book?" It was then that Jaik noticed the window. Usually, he would see the Elcean plains out of it, but now, there was pitch-black nothing. Something was terribly wrong here. The missing book, the missing plains. That confirmed it. Something was definitely wrong. Jaik ran out of the room to listen around. Nothing. There was always some type of chatter among the students, but now there was naught but silence. Suddenly, a scream pierced the halls of the Dome. Jaik sprinted to where he heard the scream and stopped by the library door, but not in a place where he could be seen. "Obscurum," Jaik muttered, pointing Effringo at the torches lining the hall, thus, allowing him to move in front of the door. Inside, he saw creatures of shadow (OOC: I really hope that this is taking place in the library. I've been trying to pay attention, but it seems that I haven't been trying hard enough.) attacking other students. Jaik wouldn't have that. Innocent lives had been taken by his bystanding once. It wasn't going to happen again. Sem, Reka, this is for you. It won't happen as long as I'm there, Jaik said silently. Innocent lives could not-- would not-- be taken as long as he was there. Just as Jaik was about to dash in and attack, he noticed something present: a spell holding the creatures of shadow together. "Effringo," Jaik muttered, "I really hope this works." He sprinted in and jumped on the one closest to him. "UNLOCK!"
