Intro

It was almost dark when Yori returned to report what he had seen. A gentle breeze coming from the south caused Aiko’s hair wave in the air rebellious. Yuu aware of everything happening around him noticed how the infantile face of his mistress shone more than the sunset on the horizon, however her expression continued with its typical melancholy.

From the sky Yori could see everything that was happening on the ground, he could see the trees on the left side of the road swaying with the wind, and he could see the huge pastures on the right side of the road changing its green color to a more brownish one thanks to the sunset. But most importantly, he could see the city they would spend the night right in front, not far from where Aiko and the others were. The “city” was actually thirty buildings together forming a small square in the middle, not very big to be called a city, however on the horizon one could see several farms, by Yori’s calculations the local population wasn’t higher than a hundred inhabitants.

The black bird landed softly on Aiko’s right shoulder as soon as he landed Yori made direct eye contact with the girl, making her see everything he saw. Most of the images that came in her head were confusing and didn’t make much sense, however she could see a city not far from where she and the others were, just some meters ahead and probably behind the small hill that was blocking what was exactly ahead.

"I think you better come back, Yori, at least for now, let me and Yuu find a room for the night in the city." Her voice was soft and calm as always and as soon as she finished speaking the bird turned into a dark figure, and before anyone could notice he was already gone.

“Are you sure we won’t find any trouble in the city ahead, mistress?” Yuu wasn’t interested in an actual answer; he just asked that to cut the silence that has been following them for some hours now.

But the girl, however, just looked at him and nodded. It didn’t take much time until they reached the top of the hill that was preventing them to see what was ahead. From there they could see the city, and a strange fog that seemed to exist only around the city. Yuu looked to his mistress and said.

“Oh great, this is definitely my best holidays.” Aiko ignored him and continued to walk towards the city, soon after Yuu followed her.

The filthy and trash pilled the streets throughout the city routes. The stagnant air smelled of liquor, piss, and the odor of rotten flesh. The young swordsman hung his head low in the run down coffee shop. The brick walls covered him from chilly air outside. Something doesn’t feel right, the young man thought staring at the window across the room.

It not the people, he thought glancing around at the people in the building. The same odor from outside blanketing its self in the shop.

“Youngster, what you having?” A older woman asked pulling out her pen and pad from her pockets.

“Nothing,” Nikudemon replied keeping his eyes looking outside. “Thanks, but I got to go.” He got up and took his swords with him. As he steeped outside his clothes danced along his body from the hard gust of air. The howling gust of air blowing pass him and the building told him that a storm was coming.

He tucked his hands inside his pockets as he begun to walk down the streets. “NiiiKuuuu!” He turned around about a mile down the road to see nothing. “NikUuuu!” He heard again, but this time it sounded more feminine than the last time.

“Who there?” He asked closing his eyes seeing if he could heard anything more. “Ni!” he heard as thunder roared through the air. As he opened his eyes and hug lighting bolt smashed into the ground in front of him. He jumped back as a form of a beautiful woman appeared in front of him.

“Niku-demon, must die!” she said pulling a blade out of the air licking the top of the blade as it appeared.

“Demon,” he said as he thought it in his mind, gripping the hilt of his sword.

“Niku-demon, must die!” she said as she floated in the air laughing for no reason.

The Blonde Girl

Yuu and Aiko were almost there in the city when a lightning fell to less than a few yards away, in what seemed the city center. The buildings prevented the visualization of where exactly the lightning crashed into the ground. For a moment there was a deafening silence, the demon clothier thought, "Whatever it is, it isn’t normal. But I don’t know if it’s some kind of magic or a spirit”. Then a bang as strong as that of an explosion echoed through the air, followed by a strong gust of wind that made Aiko’s scarf shake violently in the air and Yuu’s hair cap his vision for a while.

“Niku-demon must die!” a ghostly voice came in their minds, it sounded a bit feminine, but it was as if many voices were speaking at once to form a single voice. “Niku-demon must die!” The ghostly voice shouted in their minds again, this time it was followed by a creepy laugh.

“We have to hurry.” The girl’s voice was calm, but Yuu could see in her eyes that she actually worried to what was going on.

“Yes, mistress. Now hold on.” He moved to where the girl was and grabbed her with both hands, just like a couple in honeymoon or someone holding a bleeding person asking for help, and started to run to the city center.


OoC: I wasn't sure if you want to start a battle against the demon or just make something else, so I decided to not interfere directly in this post; but w/e you do next I'll follow.

This is not good. What happening now? he thought staring the demon down with his fearsome eyes. “I would prefer not to fight,” the swordsman said resting his palm on the hilt of Solana.

“Hahaha, stupid Niku, you must die!” She yelled creaking a large whip by her side.

Not good. “Still I’ll die one day. No need killing yourself over it,” he said watching the whip swam around her body.

“Enough!” she screamed snapping the whip at the swordsman. The large whip lashed out at him with great speed. Greater then the swordsman the swordsman thought, ducking under the thin tip. He dashed forward jumping over the second swing and dodging the with a side step. The whip crashed into the ground crushing the road under its force.

Nikudemon glanced back to see the massive damage the demon already made. “Not good. I’m going to have to stop this monster.” He rolled out the way of other attack: jumped on top the roof of a car and hopped through the air towards the flying monster. He drew his sword in time to block her attack.

He crushed onto the road: rolling into the side of a car. He could hear the laugher of the demon, watching her float back down to his level. Good girl, he thought washing out the pain he felt. He slowly made his way back to his feet seeing something coming from a distant. No! Go away, he thought glaring back at the demon

“Hmm… What this I smell?” she asked glancing behind her to find the source.

“Pay more attention demon!” Nikudemon yelled dashing towards her with full speed.


OoC: You can choose between having nikudemon disarming her (cutting her two arms off) Or having your character come help out. It's up to you.

The Fever

Yuu left Aiko on a sidewalk and ran toward the man and the lightening demon fighting in the middle of the street. While he approached the man he noticed that the man seemed to be around twenty years old with dark long hair, however, what caught his attention the most were two swords that the unknown man was carrying. Moving as fast as the wildest horses the stranger dashed towards the lightening demon and cut her two arms with an attack that for from Yuu’s point of view seemed to cut the very fabric of existence.

Yuu was less than some meters away from the stranger when the lightening demon started to scream as her arms faded into a weird white smoke, soon after her body faded into the same odd white smoke. A wicked voice coming from the smoke shouted.

“Nikudemon! You’ll pay!! You sure will pay for what you did to me here!” The white smoke seemed to be sucked inside a house with a distinct red door, entering through the door’s lock the smoke was protect from the eyes of anyone on the main street.

Yuu looked to Nikudemon and walked to where he was. With a voice of someone who had just seen the most amazing thing in the world Yuu asked. “Wha-Who are you? And how that thing knew you? I-I… You… Wow… Sir, you’re simply amazing, but really, who are you?” Before he could say anything else a cry coming from the house where the smoke entered echoed down the street. Yuu looked to Nikudemon, which was quickly already looking at the house, analyzing it before taking any action.

Running as fast as she could, Aiko slowly approached them.

OoC: This will become much easier once I see how your characters react to him more. For now I how this helps you understand what going on in my characters head.

It’s becoming hard to stay unnoticed with these stronger foes showing up, the young warrior thought to himself glaring at the wooden door the demon vanish to. His fearsome eye glanced over at the young male before noticing a young lady walking over to them.

“Yuu, what happen?” she questioned panting for air. “Where is the lighting demon?”

“It-!”

“It would be best if you both stay out of danger.” Nikudemon replied with caring clam look in his face. “You,” the swordsman said pointing to Yuu, “ Will you make sure the young lady stay out of harms way and make sure she gets home safely?”

“But I came to help and she--,”

“Help?” Nikudemon said puzzled, but mostly confused taking a closer look at the man in front of him. Something off now that I think about it. He looks like his dead, but he is moving and talking. Also, I don’t believe his eyes are normal to any human race. What have I’ve run into now? “With what weapon?” he asked turning his eyes to the woman.

The swordsman seemed even more lost staring again at the young lady. He’d stop listing to the demon reasoning and forced on her. Her eyes looked lost and yet she hadn’t spoken nor moved from the other man’s side. She looked weak yet she still ran over to him knowing the danger. “What is your name?” Nikudemon asked bending down looking in her eyes.

“It’s-”

“I didn’t ask you. I asked her.” the swordsman said reaching his hand. “I’m Nikudemon a swordsman that wonders around helping to protect city and villages for evil demons. Are you from this city?”

The Fly

She looked reluctant to hand of that unknown man. It wasn’t the first time someone offered her the hand to greet her, it seemed like some kind of common gesture in several dimensions. However she still couldn’t feel comfortable to touch the hand of another person that she didn’t know.

She closed her hands as strong as she couldn’t and looked down at her own feet. Yuu notice his mistress’s nervousness; the girl was extremely shy with strangers, even in the most dangerous situations. However she said very softly with her calm voice:

“I’m Aiko Yoshida, from the rice fields above these skies.” Even for Yuu what she said sounded odd; maybe what she said was a failed attempt to explain that she didn’t belong to that realm.

Yuu looked at the stranger and said: “We’re not from here.”

“I can tell that, by looking at you,” he said glancing over at the boy. “And you boy are the one that stands out the most” He sat down on the ground glancing back and forth between the two. Hmm… I’m getting the feeling one or both of them aren’t human. If they aren’t human than I wonder if they could be from the underworld, he thought to himself.

Well I only know a few words in that tongue, but saying them could only raise more questions. “So, she the shy one and your like her big brother. Would that be a good way to place your friendship?”

“Not really, but back to how you bet that demon. What kind of spell do you use to move so quick.”

“Spell? What do you think I am and wiser or mage?” he asked unsheathing his blade and laying it in his lap. “No, spells. I’ve mastered the art of the sword is all. Once you learn to trust in something it will never let you down. Or at lest that what Believe.”

Nikudemon stood up from the ground taking his other his other blade from his side. “So, if your not from around here what are you doing here and where are you going? It dangerous to travel without anyway to protect yourself,” he said hoping to get some kind of information out of them.

“And see how you have a young lady with you it wouldn’t seem wise for you to leave her a lone to watch a fight now would it.” He glared into the other man’s eyes with a gentle smile. “But no one got hurt so that’s a good sign.”
