Re: The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)
When I finally got back to the hotel, I went straight to our room and saw that Traok had not yet arrived. This made sense. I had taken a short cut, but Tarok only knew of one way between the hotel and the graveyard, and that was the way we had traveled. Mening he would have to go all the way back to the training facility, then back to the hotel.

When I got into our room, I could see Azerik was already there. "Why do you think that there were so many hollows in the graveyard?" I asked Azerik, flopping myself on the couch. I could get used to the future.

Re: The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)
"That's usually where they hang out," I said with a halfhearted shrug as I slopped onto the bed., "most ghosts that stick around in the world of the living stick close to their graves or something, so Hollows often go to graveyards. Although I think its more likely that there's something spiritually valuable there, since I didn't see any spirits."

"That's not what I meant. I meant, Why were there so many?" I faintly recalled him saying that he had never seen mare hollows in any world except his.

Re: The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)
"Because there's something of spiritual value there," I said with exasperation, "Hollows flock to places with large amounts of spiritual energy. There are places and objects that simply radiate a spiritual presence so noticeable, and so beyond comprehension, that despite most parts of a world being barren of Hollows, you will find mass amounts of Hollows. Compared to the amount of Hollows that exist in my world in total though, this number is quite small. As a group however its one of the largest I've ever seen."

"Fine." I said. It was about ten in the morning. Azerik had ordered room service earlier, and it had finally gotten here. The boy that came in with the tray and set it down on the counter in the kitchen. "Excuse me sir," He addressed Azerik, "I know it's none of my bussiness, but shouldn't your friend be in school right now." I had a confused look on my face. What is school? I wondered to myself.

Re: The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)
"He's from out of town," I said casually, "I haven't had time to find a place for him to start."
After the hotel worker had left, I turned to Tarok and said, "Most kids your age attend institutions, that educate them about the basics of society. You already know more than the average high school student concerning life in general, but there's a lot of stuff you wouldn't think to learn about." |

Re: The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)
"So what are we going to do about it then?" I asked Az. "Is there a class for survival training? And what exactly do you learn there?" The future was pretty hard to get used to.

Re: The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)
"Survival training?" I said with a confused look, "No, nothing like that. You learn the rudiments of language, writing, and proper speech, mathematics, the workings of the government in charge, history. There's phys ed, which is sports and stuff, but not really any kind of training as you would see it."
I thought about his first question then, and took a few minutes to let him process my first response while I thought out my answer. "We could always enroll you in a school," I said shrugging my shoulders, "but you'd have to promise not to go reading the teacher's mind if you did." |

"I'd like to see what this dimension has to offer. oon mee oneha sa nightling. On my honor as a nightling, I will never read the teachers mind." I said, making the unbreakable hand gestures as I did so.
