The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)

"Thanks," I said, taking his hand. "Those things are hard to control. I thought my aim was out of whack."

"Nah," I said as I pulled him to his feet, "if anything your aim increases with a gun, since all you have to do is aim it."

"Sure. Okay." I said. "What's next?"

"Well," I said scratching at the ever present stubble on my chin, "since you're now fairly adapted to the city, and you can fight off anyone with a gun, I don't think there's much else to do. I've got a job to do over by one of the cemeteries, so you're welcome to join me."

"A hollow?" I asked. Those things had a tendency to pop up with me around.

"Do you know of any other job I have," I said as I placed my DE's back in their holsters, "yes its a Hollow. Several to be accurate. There's no evidence pertaining the rank of the Hollows in question, but from the way things have played out so far, I'd guess their the mindless low level Hollows."

"What, are you gonna use special bullets or go the old fashioned way?" I asked.

"I can only do it that old fashioned way," I said with a wry smile, "otherwise the Hollows won't be purified. Even if I used Kidou bullets, if I didn't finish things with my Zanpaktou it would be pointless, so its easier just to use my sword. Truth be told, I'm much better with my sword, than a gun, even without my powers."

"As am I. So you have a job for me to do?" I asked him. "I wouldn't be able to do much but watch."

"You can help with the offensive like you did in the desert," I said as I walked towards the elevator, "but if it turns out to be a Gillian or Adjuchas, I'm going to have to ask you to stay on the defensive."

"Okay. Just hurry and find out, so I can change this stupid thing into something I'm used to." I said, pointing at the bat.

"It's not like I can just magically figure out what the rank of the Hollow is," I said as we boarded the elevator and it began to move upwards, "I have to get close enough to sense it first, and this city is much larger than it looks."

"I have no dought about that." I said, as I was lifted upward, and not by magic. "So, in that case, I just distract them and you go in for the kill, right? Might as well, as I don't know what else to do in this place."

"You can throw in the odd attack if it feels necessary," I said as the elevator came to a stop, "just remember, if I confirm it to be part of the Menos class, you have to high-tail it out of the area."

"No need to high-tail, I can still teleport, remember? Has it really been that long?" I asked him. "Or am I taking things out of context and saying what you meant?"

"You've got half of my meaning," I said laughing as we left the building, "when I said hig-tail it, I just meant get the heck out of there."

"Well no dur." I said, putting the hood of my cloak up and walking out into the sunlight.

We walked in relative silence, the hustle and the bustle of the city the only noticeable noise. Aside from the guy following us that is.

"It's not polite to try to steal things," I said turning to face the hooded man who was ducking behind Tarok to try and steal one of the holstered guns, "especially weapons. One might think you intended them harm."

I took out my wooden sword, which I had been carrying behind my back, and pointed it threateningly at the thief. It wasn't worth the hassle to shoot him, and I didn't want him dead. He let out a small yell of fright, then took off running. I looked down, and noticed that my two Desert Eagle pistols weren't quite hidden, so I pulled the hem of my shirt down lower.

"Let's go Tarok," I said as I continued to walk towards the cemetery.

"Who was that?" I asked Az.

"The modern day pickpocket," I said as we neared the cemetery, "he was just a petty thief."

When we finally entered the grave yard, the sun was beginning to set, and the streets surrounding it were devoid of life. I stepped over the police caution tape that had been set up around the crater near the entrance, and slid through the dirt to the center.

"This crater," I said as I walked around the foot shaped hole, "was made by a Hollow. It happens often in places like this, since its where one can easily find lost souls."

I climbed back out of the footprint, and took a round green pill out of my pocket. I popped it into my mouth, and I suddenly left my body behind. If anyone was around they wouldn't see me, only Tarok and the hidden Hollow would be able to.

My body got up on it's own, and walked off to hide behind a headstone, and I took out my sword.

"Make sure my Gigai doesn't do anything stupid," I said to Tarok, "the temporary soul I placed in it doesn't have much brain power, so I want you to keep an eye on it during the fight. I don't want it all beaten up after this is finished."
