The City (Must have permission from me to post in this thread)

"Riiiiiight. Well, I need to practice as well. I haven't run into anything out in the forest and need to practice my bow, arrow, and sword. Anyplace around here like that?"

"Not really," I said giving the young nightling a wry smile, "although I had an acquaintance of mine come to this world with me the other day, and help build me a special underground facility. I can take you there if you like...also, we're going to need to pick up some modern weapons...we can't use swords and such on any enemies we might encounter here. although there might be a few nuts out there with obsessions with ancient weapons, most people we'll have to fight here will be using guns. I'll teach you how to use one at the facility."

After I'd finished talking to Tarok, I turned to the harpy that was still sitting on my bed and said nonchalantly, "You can follow us if you like, but I'll have to ask you not to disclose the location of my facility to anyone."

With that said, Tarok and I, left the hotel, and I guided him to a shop in the center of the city, with a large sign that read 'Gun Emporium'.

"Pick a gun," I whispered in his ear, "don't let the store clerk see you, once you've picked tell me and I'll go buy it."

OOC: Just google a pic of a gun you want, that's what I'm going to do.

"Maybe I'll have two of those, and one of those." I said, pointing to two pistols and a sniper rifle that looked like it would be my size. I waited to see Azerik's response.

OoC: Two of these, and one of these,

"I'll get you the pistols," I said without looking like I was talking to him, "there easy to hide, but we can't risk a kid your age being seen with a sniper rifle."

I walked up to the store owner, pointed out the pistols Tarok wanted, and got some extra ammo to go with it.

"Also," I said as an afterthought, "can you get me two Desert Eagles from the back, with enough extra ammo for a full military expedition?"

"Sure thing," was the store owners reply as he walked into the storage area at the back of the room. When he came back out, he carried two .44 Magnum Desert Eagle pistols and all their shining glory. As well as a large cloth mag filled with gun mags.



"Thanks," I said putting the stuff in my backpack and handing the store owner the cash, "I'll be sure to recommend you to my friends."

As if I had said a secret code, he dug around under the counter, and pulled up 4 gun holsters, two smaller ones for Tarok's pistols, and 2 medium sized ones for my DE's.

I waved the store owner a farewell, then went out to met. We both went into an alleyway, and I helped him strap the guns on in a way that hid them under the cloak he was wearing. I strapped my own guns to my waist, letting my shirt cover them only slightly.

"We'll head over to the facility now, and you can learn how to use those properly," I said adjusting the gun holsters on my waist, "these things pack a much bigger punch than a bow, and the recoil can take some time to get used to."

The weight of the weapons, I was unaccustomed to. We headed down a alley, and I waited for what Azerik would do. I adjusted the straps so It was more comfortable.

"Lets get going then," I said throwing my backpack back over my shoulder, "my facility is back by where you entered the city."

We walked for a few minutes, back to the city entrance, then I lead Tarok into a relatively small building with nothing but a single elevator. We got on, and I hit the down button, and we soon started to move. Several seconds later, the bell rang, and the doors opened to reveal a most abnormal sight.

Although we were now miles underground, we were looking it what appeared to be a rocky wasteland, with a shining bright blue sky over our heads.

"Welcome to the Urahara style underground training area," I said smiling as I walked out of the elevator, "one hell of a sight isn't it?"

"You got that right. Now, what am I supposed to shoot, and where, and what am I supposed to do?" I asked Az. I unclipped my guns from their holster and started to get acostumed to their weight.

"We'll start you off with a simple shooting range," I said pointing to a bunch of human shaped cardboard cut-outs of varying distances off to the right of us, "and after you've got the hang of shooting at an immobile target, I'll program the training drones for novice, and load up their guns with rubber bullets so you can practice."

After I pointed him to the shooting range, I walked up to one of the rocky walls, and pushed a hidden button. Several seconds later, a bunch of roughly human shaped robots came out of a hidden door off to my left. I walked up to the one labeled '#1', and opened a panel on the back revealing a keyboard and computer screen. I typed in a few command codes, and the robot spoke in a grainy pre-recorded voice, "Fight mode: Duel Pistols. Intensity: Back Alley Shoot out."

After I'd finished the program setting, I walked a fair distance away and said to the robots, "Begin." All hell was set loose.

They all began shooting at me, and I was hard pushed to dodge 20 odd bullets at a time. I jumped onto a tall rock sticking out of the ground, and drew my two Desert Eagles from at my waist. I jumped out of the way of another hail of bullets, and fired two shots without really looking, and heard the metallic clunk, and the crackling electricity as one of the robots stopped moving. I jumped off a rocky wall, and shot down at the platoon of mechanized men, feeling and seeing their bullets fly past me. I fired, one, two, three shots, and another 3 robots stopped moving. 4 down, 16 to go.

I went over to what appeared to be the starting line. I pulled one out of it's holster, and fired one shot. I was able to keep the kickback under control, and soon all of the targets had two holes in their heads. I waited for Azerik to finish up his fight.

"Don't just stand there," I shouted at Tarok after he took a few shots, "until you can get a shot dead center of the head every 9 times out of 10 I'm not letting you move on!"

Deciding I wasn't in the mood for a long training session, I fired 2 shots from each of my guns, and watched as he each bullet took out 2 robots in a row. I ran up to one of the last 8 standing, and jumped onto its head, shooting down into it, then from their on my perch I took out the last 7 with a shot each to the head. It was rarely so easy in real life I knew, but it was hard to program a robot to act with the desperation a human would.

I looked over at Tarok, and saw him still standing there. I fired a warning shot, the bullet whizzing right by his left ear and said menacingly, "aim is everything when it comes to shooting a gun, you don't need a whole lot of strength to pull the trigger, and the kickback is only temporary. As soon as you're able to hit the targets dead center 9 out of 10 times, I'll let you move on to facing the robots."

I turned and saw the targets reset themselves. The warning shot had almost blown out my eardrum, but I ignored it. I tried three more times, and on the third I got all ten straight in the center of the head. I turned to see Azerik standing there grinning like an idiot.

"Good job," I said smiling, "I'd let you have a go at the robots next, but it seems I've gone and killed the last of them. Instead, we'll use liquid capsules filled with red paint, and fight each other. I've got some leather protective gear we can use. Even if we aren't using real bullets it can still hurt like hell."

"Each...other?" I had watched him fight the robots, and I admit I was a little scared. Az went into a hidden shed were he came out with two pairs of armor. I one on after I had taken off my cloak. "Hopefully, you will be going easy on me, right?" He brought out the capsules, and they fit in my gun perfectly. I ran, jumped over a couple boulders, and took cover behind one. "Call when your ready!"

"I'm ready," I whispered in his ear from behind him and jumped away, laughing at the look of surprise on his face.

"Don't worry kid," I said smiling, "if your test shots and our past experiences are anything to judge by, in a simple gun fight, without all our magic, we should be evenly matched."

I didn't give him a chance to respond, shooting two paint capsules, which he dodged, leaving the red paint to splatter harmlessly against a few rocks.

"Fine." I said, and jumped into action, literally. I jumped off a boulder, and turned and shot two shots from one gun, and covertly shot on with the other, making a tiny web. He ducked, shot one at me, and I twisted and felt the bullet speed past me.

"See no worries," I said smiling, "you're a natural."

I fired two shots-one from each gun-and dodged the shot that came flying at me. I felt it scrape against my leg, and fired another shot, hitting Tarok just behind his left knee.

"I forgot to mention," I said all of a sudden, "first one to 5 shots wins."

I landed, twisted, and fired a shot at him. It hit him in the leg, but just as well shot me. Now we both had two shots. I pulled the trigger and nothing came out. I hid behind a rock, commando style, and put in another clip. I shot blind around the rock, and I think I heard one pass the rock.

"You'd be great in an old fashioned saloon shoot out," I said laughing as he shot at me from behind the rock. I jumped to higher ground, and shot at him, missing by a hair's width. I jumped from my perch, landing on the rock her was hiding behind, and let him see that I was close enough to shoot him easily before jumping forward again. I fired the last two rounds in my clips, and inserted another one into each of my DE's, all while continuing to move.

"Let's see how you can do rapid fire," I said firing of 4 shots in rapid succession, switching my shooting gun every shot, then fired a 5th and 6th at the same time. 4 of them splattered harmlessly against a rock, but the other two caught him just below his elbows.

I shot 1,2,3,4 shots at him. Two clipped him and splattered. I jumped, twisted, and shot one more. It missed, and he shot one at me. Another close call. I shot one, and he shot one, and we both hit each other at the same time, somehow. I got to the ground, and collapsed onto it, breathing heavily.

"Not bad," I said walking over to where Tarok lay and held out my hand to help him up, "you managed to tie with me. Long range combat isn't my specialty, and I wasn't using my lycan senses, but even so that's a good achievement for your first time."
