<Actually.... I don't know yet... I just wated Faite to be holding a bag.And faite was gonna be the only one to realize that there was some type of power in the bag oh well >

"I know what a bag is!" Faite said indignantly(sp?) "I just feel like theres something in the bag! But there isn't!" Faite said, as he opened the bag and turned it inside out. "It feels like... raw power!" Faite filpped the bag right side out, and pocketed it. "Oh well... I'm not entirely sure what this bag is... but It may come in handy... lets go!" Faite said.

They group continued to run through the underdark fallowing wolf Zildor, trying to find the fresh air. They ran into a side tunnel and were suddenly faced with twenty Drow. Haradin stepped in front of the others feeling great now that his leg worked properly, "now you all will know war, Alzian style." Haradin ran at the group and began to cut, slash, and stab, the others joined quickly, killing with their respective preference.

Ooc: I'm not on much, because I've got band camp, and that's tiring, so I go to bed earlier, and my parents to let me stay up till 1-2 in the morning ^^ Oh, btw, I was a human, not a wolf when I came back, >>

- As I bit and slashed at the drow, I came to the sudden realization of what the bag was.

"Drop that bag now!" I mentally commanded.

With suprise at my sudden command, Faite dropped it. I hastily explained that I had come upon something once in my travels. The bag contained a nearly invisible acid, that is so powerful that mages can draw power out of it for decades without noticeably depleting the supply. As you opened it, Faite, you released the acid, and it entered into your body. But the acid is really just the outer covering a bug wipes over itself as protection. The acid remained, and the bug entered in your body, probably through your hand. It slowly eats through your body and heads towards your heart. This can take around five years. Then, once it reaches your heart, it burrows inside and grows, feeding off your blood. It should take about a year for it to kill you off once it reaches your heart. So you have about six years to live, although, since you are a dwarf, and are hardier than humans, that time may be extended, but I wouldn't count on it. For all I know, it could be even faster. There are two ways to destroy it: 1) Isolate the victim and let the victim die, and the bug dies of hunger eventually, 2) the other is to pull it out of your body, which is extremely hard to do considering the size of it. Also, it is speeded up by you exerting yourself.

Faite looked at the bag, then at his body... then back at the bag. "****!" faite screamed, obviously alarmed. So... do I want to die in about six years, or get the bug out with excruciating pain? "Umm guys... I'm going to need one of you to hold my sword... heal me up as soon as I get the arm off. Faite asked, as he carefuly decided where he would cut his arm off. He decided to cut it off at the shoulder.

"This is going to HURT!" Faite said, carefully lining up the shot, when a voice suddenly entered his head.

Don't!

Faite, used to this kind of thing now, asked, "Why not, if there's a bug thats going to kill me, why shouldn't I cut off the arm?"

There was indeed a bug in the bag. It was a gift. Hold out your hand.

Faite did as he was comanded, pointing it at the remaining drow.

Serva !Isita! Shloam! a briliant light shot out of the dwarf's hand.

"What... What was that?" Faite asked aloud, gazing at the roating corpses of the drow.

This is not the same bug Zildor speaks of. This one is purely helpful, but only in the underdark.

"Wha? Why can't I use it elsewhere?"

Because then you will die. You will die a horrible, painful death. Now... Give the bag to each of your friends.

Faite handed the bag to each of the other group members. They are now soul bound to you, and you can communicate over long distances in the blink of an eye. Open the bag.

Faite -once again- did as he was comanded, and was surprised when potions started falling out. He counted fourty... enough for each of them to have ten.

Use these only when you are in dire need. The voice warned.

"Wait! Who are you?"

The voice was gone.

Perhaps Basil had made a mistake not taking the suggestion but rather passing it up, as his turn to take the bag came around he avoided it himself, and using slight distraction bore the illusion of taking the bag while never coming in direct contact, oh slight of hand! He passes it up as it mades it way round.

Perhaps it was a sense of unease, though looking at Basil would not betray such feelings or thoughts as that bridgt smugness still lingered in his eyes and features.

Maybe it was some foolish ideal of self-reliance, a believe that his own strength would grant him more then some magic bag or bug or such... he was a deity after all.

Though Basil did feel a slight ease, he was usually the odd one out designated as a fool or nit-wit, talking to himself and acting odd.

I have found a great assortment of fools to spend time with! he thought to himself, his worry passing. He doesn't know what is driving the others to this end but with the exception of dear Faruk, Deities do not tend to act soley on a whim of a voice in their head.

One of them can't, as he didn't actually touch the bag.

"Who?" Faite asked aloud.

Basil.

Basil raised an eye but never let his cheery appearance down.

"Come now my friends," he retorted, "you say me, I took the bag and passed it around, don't blame me if its not taking!"

But perhaps it is my fault as I am to paranoid for my own good!" Basil jokes, "for beneath my headdress I wear a foil layer round my head to reflect the rays and beams and evil projections! It makes for a nice hat, and should you wish it you can take it off and fold it into a boat, isn't that a nice example of versatitlity!"

"Though," Basil chuckled, "perhaps we are on the wrong frequency! Common lets tune the channel, what frequency are you one my dear friend, I'm getting classical music though I'd much prefer something with a bit more rythmm!"

<Thusly, we see how Basil relates to Mercutio in that he doesn't know when to DTFU! (Tis an inside joke)>

"Enough joking," Haradin commanded, "we need to keep moving."

The group ran over the bodies of the dead Drow.

Basil stopped for a second, "maybe we should take some fried Drow with us," he said smirking, "what do you think comrades?"

"Well," Haradin started, "I'm sure fried Drow does not taste very good at all."

They began running again, Faite lead the way.

Halt! Stop running! said the voice urgently, You four are not yet trained enough in the magics of the bag yet to confront the Roc that has been stalking yo for some time. Wait, and train. Your powers will grow stronger... but they are not yet powerful enough.

Faite repeated what the voice had said, fearing that the Roc would drop down from upon them at any moment.

I command you... give Basil the bag. The only way for you four to survive is for all of you to be able ti cimmunicate, even if knocked out.

Basil has been aware of an uncomforting awe for some time now. Furthermore it gave good reason to be wary, even of his companions.

Perhaps it would be best to take his leave, though if suspision served right then a departure might be more difficult then that. At the moment though, he would have to contemplate his escape rather then execute.

"Say," Basil began, "do any of you happen to be fans of literature? I recall a great book, more a short story actually, by the name of... I don't quite remember but it went something along the line of 'Who Hoes There, or whatever..."

As the company walked Basil slowly moved forward to the head of the bunch, turning on his heels and walking backwards as he talked so all remained in sight.

"Magnificant story, I'm sketchy of the details," Basil settled comfortably, but kept vigilant, "it followed a story of men confined in a winter base, military men, the story was quite suspensful and horrific... slowly one by one the men were taken by some beast, some foreign being, it took them over , infiltrating them like a parasite, but this is the terrifying part! It became them, slowly taking over their being and the men around never realized it, meanwhile those things planned against them!"

Basil scratched his head, "quite a story good friends, I would suggest it to you, I could go fetch a copy or two or three and be back aye!"

"Though perhaps a bloody thing to remember, that in the story those lost completly to the things could only be dealt with, purged by fire." a deviant grin spread on his face as he worked to keep his distance.

BiC: Faite had rounded the corner just in time to see someone who looked exactly like him defeat the last of the drow that his friends had been fighting with a bright light, coming from his hand.
"Damnit... who could impersonate me so well that none of those three could tell the difference?"
he grumbled, "Maybe I should trail them to see what this guy does..."

Faite followed behind those three for a few hours, holding his newly aquired bomb bag. "Faite had left the group shortly afterfinding the bag, not bothering to tell them where he was going. Apparently, this impostor stepped in as soon as he left. He had quickly identified what the bag was, when he found a faint trace of gunpowder in the bag, hence the 'raw power'. Faite watched as the dopleganger had each of his friends grab the bag. Zildor and Haradin accepted it without so much as a second glance. but Basil... good ol Basil, never took the bag. "Good eye Basil" Faite silently ceered from the shadows.

Faite continued to trail them for a few more hours untill they broke for camp. Then he waited. one hour. Two hours. Three hours. Finally the only one left awake was Basil. Faite walked out into the open, right infront of Basil, and motinoed for him to be quiet.

"Follow me."

"Deary me," Basil slumped back, his voice carrying sarcasm, "This is a surprise I must admit, or a hallucination driven by my lack of fornication for the last month, eight days, thirteen hours and... 5 minutes!"

"But if this is a hallucination then perhaps I can turn this to my advantage," as Basil said this he turned his head to a clearing, empty, he was dissappointed, "alas I still have some sense to me so I mustn't be seeing things..."

Slowly, forcing himself up, hoistening his blades and flask with him he followed this 'Faite' as he walked away offering a backhanded wave to the camp.

Though, I'm also hoping to get another character done, this one being Hayao Nakaki, of the Steampunk Province, interesting character if ever approved.>

<What say you and I get out of here... since tp or oot and candc3 dont seem to be posting... we could branch it off in a different direction, where faite tries to become a diety. That would make for an interesting story, and it would help me expand Faite's world.>

"I went to fill this with bombs, almost as soon as I figured out what the raw power was... it was gunpowder. It was then that the doppleganger stepped in, and proceeded to takemy place. Ill bet that he hasn't asked much about the Deity's has he?" Faite asked, Knowing that Basil would soon realise the truth.

"" Tell you what, tommorow, ask him about the creature that gave us a lift up here... I bet you he'll either have no clue, or call it something like your majesty. I'll come get you after everyone else is asleep." Faite said, stepping back into the shadows.
