The Forest (Anyone)

OOC: Two animals and one humanoid? Seems uneven to me. Hope you don't mind another humanoid along for the ride?


BIC: I had been sleeping for a few days now (yes days) and I finally decided to wake up. I stood, stretching my stiff limbs, and looked around. The forest was much the same as when I had fallen asleep, with one exception being an indent in the grass, inconspicuously shaped like myself. I took a deep breath through my nose, and caught the familiar scent of an old traveling companion, mixed in with two unfamiliar smells, and the smell of blood.

Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I started to walk through the pathless forest, keeping an eye out for fruit bearing trees along the way. A few minutes later, I was happily snacking on one of the apples I had nicked from a tree, and whistling tunelessly between bites. As I finished my third apple, I came into a clearing, and saw Tarok, talking with a rabbit like creature (it far too big to be a true rabbit) and a fox. His choice of companions didn't bother me in the slightest, I had seen far stranger things in my travels.

"Tarok," I shouted waving the arm I wasn't using to carry my bundle of apples, "nice to see you again!"

"Hey Az! What are you doing out here?" I said, glad to see my old traveling companion. "Could have used ya last night though." Then I turned to the others, saying to them, "Roon, Padme, meet Azerik. He has gotten me out of a lot of sticky situations, and no dought many more." I turned to Az. "How ya been buddy?"

"I've been better," I said yawning, "I just woke up from a really long nap. Judging by the indent I left in the grass, I'd say I slept for at least 2 days. Who are your friends here?"

"Az, this is Roon and Padme.

"Nice to meet ya," I said, my stomach rumbling all of a sudden when I looked at Padme, "...er...sorry...I've been sleeping for two days so I'm kind of hungry...and...rabbits used to be my favorite food as a pup...gomenesai."

Too embarrassed to look at Padme for the time being, I looked around at the bodies of what appeared to be humans, but with a distinctly different smell. "Who are these guy," I asked Tarok while sniffing at one of the corpses, "they don't smell human."

"They're.....well......my race. You can probably smell it, seeing as you have such a sense of smell." "It's alright Padme. He's not going to hurt you." I said, turning to her. I turned to Az and asked,"For old times sake, how about a spar?"

"Eh...fine but no magic. We can both easily get out of any situations either of our magics cause."

I drew my katana, somewhat lazily, my vision starting to blur. For some reason I felt like sleeping again, even though I had just woken up. Just as I thought I would collapse, I caught the scent of a dead bird off in the distance, which snapped me back to reality. I don't know why but the smell of food always wakes me up.

"Someone is using magic," I said still somewhat sleepy, "my thought process is getting all messed up..."

OoC: Is this just a way to not fight my character?

BiC: "I can feel it too." It was coming from the forest. "Roon, Padme, what is it?" They looked like they were getting dizzy as well. "You up for a fight, Az?"

OOC: Nah I'll fight you later, I just want my character to be more in the story first

BIC: "Fight?" I said, my brain not responding properly, "Why would I fight..."

As I began getting dizzy, before I became to out of my mind, I sent out a mental probe. I then realize that we were about to be overrun with more of Tarok's kind. The vast numbers woke me up from my daze.

Realizing that Azerik and I were possibly the most experienced fighters(no offense Navi or Haagar, just being in charac) I need to rouse him from his stupor to help me. I quickly doused him in water, getting immediate results.

"Holy @#$% that's cold," I yelled as the fox dumped my face into a nearby stream, "next time pinch me why don't yo-" I stopped, catching the scent of more Nightlings nearby.

"Crap," I said grabbing the rabbit, and Tarok, "let's go there's around 200 of those bastards coming, and even I'm not that insane."

I dragged the two behind me, assuming the fox was following, and managed to get us a mile further then where we had been. Would it be enough to keep us hidden though?

Ooc: I have water magic you know... but whatever.

->As Azerik grabbed padme and Tarok, we eventually got to where the mind effects disappeared.
We began to decide what to do. I suggested we go with my plan earlier, but we would have to revise it to fit Azerik in.

"Hey, drop me! I was not the one dizzy you know!" I said, and he dropped me. "That's better. Roon, what do you think we should do?"

“Stupid HUMAN!” Padme yelled as she wormed out of Azerik’s grasp, her bright black eyes furious. No one ever man handled a Haschen warrior!

Just what was this Azerik guy’s problem? He spoke of sleeping for two days straight (which was absolutely bizarre for a human) and said that he liked eating rabbits. Hunters were loathed by all good Haschen, and just because this towering guy was Tarok’s friend didn’t mean that Padme had to like him. In fact, with his gleaming sword, he really looked like more of an enemy to the large rabbit.

“If you want to live, all must listen to Padme!” She leaped up into a nearby tree, swinging herself up by a low hanging branch. The large rabbit hated being talked down to by humans, of all creatures! “There be river not far to west. It be fast way to escape EVIL ones before they surround us! Now, all follow Padme!”

Without a backward glance, the rabbit leaped from the tree and on to the ground beneath, running through the foliage just fast enough for the others to follow her. If anyone knew how to escape a hunter on their own homeland, it was the haschen warrior Padme.

"Wait a second," I yelled after the rabbit, "jeez...Tarok you stay here, and listen to what the fox has to say, I'll catch up to big ears, and correct a few of her assumptions."

Without further words, I leaped through the trees after the Haschen. As I passed about 200 identical trees, I finally caught up to the big eared little devil, then quick as cobra after a mouse, I snatched her in mid-jump by her dangling ears.

"Now listen here," I said turning the rabbit so I could stare her in the face, "I've got a few things to tell you. First of all I'm not human, I'm a lycan, werewolf, wolfman what ever it is you call us in this world. Second I'm not listening to you for even a second until you've earned my respect. Finally insulting the person who just saved you're life would be unwise so take a look at the ground before you start screaming at me."

As I finished talking, I pointed towards the ground, where a bear trap (large enough that it could demolish this tiny warrior) was sitting on the ground, looking as hungry as what it was meant to trap.

"You...You...YOU!" There were a good many things Padme wanted to spout at the human, but she was a little too busy trying to figure out what the human meant by saying he was a werewolf, and how she was going to avoid the massive trap beneath her. The stupid creature's grip on her ears was also painful, and she was just about ready to kill the guy at this point.

"You lookie here, strange beast! Padme no need life saved! Stupid beast get us all in trouble, and you so STUPID you try to kill Padme. Padme KILL you!" The brave warrior swung herself up to the man's arm, using her body to gain momentum to reach him. Upon grasping his arm with her paws, she bit into his soft flesh, sinking her teeth deep into his skin. As she intended, the man's grip on her ears loosened, and she leaped against his chest, propelling her into a nearby tree. She grasped the solid wood with her small paws and climbed up it with alarming speed, pausing at a branch only when she was out of the man's range.

"Ha! Notso smart now! If you not friend of Tarok, you be dead already!" Padme rapped her staff against the tree as she spoke, glaring at the man as if he were some kind of vicious wolf. To her dismay, Tarok and the fox had not followed, and she would have to go back to them to guide them to the river. She knew the safe places of the forest, the secluded glens in which the attackers could never find them. She knew she could never trust the fox's plan, and after suggesting a frontal assault on the enemy's base (which she was sure he had never been to) she was certain the creature was insane.

"Roon, send it to me mentally while I go see whats going on over there. Or you can follow, but keep yourself hidden." I went to see what was happening and went invisible and put a shield around myself so they couldn't smell me. They also couldnt hear the sounds I made inside the shield. If there was a fight, I wouldbe there to break it up.

As the the rabbit's teeth sank into my arm, I howled with rage. I felt her kick off of my chest and move off in some other direction, and started frantically swerving around trying to catch sight of her. Having lost sight of her, I sniffed the air, and found that she was heading back to where I had left Tarok, and the fox. I immediately took off in pursuit.

"I don't care who or what the hell you are, " I snarled as I came up beside the haschen, "you have to learn some manners!" With that said, I grabbed her by the neck this time, careful not to suffocate her, and slammed her against the side of the tree.

"I wasn't trying to kill you back there," I said my voice slightly calmer than before, "and I'd appreciate it if you were a little more polite. Pride is all well and good, but it would do you well to be humbled every so often. Now I'm willing to get along with you, but I won't give you so much as a second though if you don't stop being so rude."

As I glared at the rabbit, I noticed my reflection in her eyes. It seems when I'd lost control a little while ago, my eyes had changed into my lycan eyes.



"Now then," I said loosening my grip and allowing my eyes to revert to their normal gray color, "you and I are going back to meet with Tarok and Roon. If you have any objections to that, state them calmly and as politely as you possibly can, otherwise I might actually be tempted to turn you into breakfast."

"Now now you two, we're all friends here." I said, coming out of my spells.They seemed ore than a little surprised.

"Tell that to the rabbit," I said recovering from the initial shock of seeing Tarok pop out of nowhere and dropping Padme to the ground, "I stop her from hopping into a bear trap, and she tries to bite my arm off."

Despite my hatred of the rabbit's attitude towards others, I strongly wished we could get along. Her heart was in the right place after all, and there was no real reason for us to be enemies. The only part of her that I could do without was her macho attitude. Even Kenpachi wasn't as conceited as she was.
