The Forest (Anyone)

OoC: I REALLY want to say something, but TP is gone...

OoC: Yay! TP's back!

The yellow furred rabbit was very surprised by the child's voice in her mind. That sort of stuff was just plain weird. With a great deal of suspicion, Padme replied to the voice in her head. No, Tarok, Padme be fine. If fox give you trouble, just call Padme.

Padme curled herself into a ball, finally settling down to sleep. However, before she laid her head down, she waited to see if the boy's voice would come again. It sounded so strange in her head, almost as if it had an echo...

I laid myself down to sleep, but I as I did, I felt a magical force appear around me.
So that human thinks he can keep me in with a forcefield? Let's see what happens when I decide to break out
I fell asleep with one eye open so if anything happened I'd be wide awake immediately

I chuckled inwardly at what the Haschan said as I cut the magical energy to the force field, knowing what the fox would think. As I lay myself down to sleep, I heard a crunch out side the tent, along with a quiet curse. I pretended to be asleep, waiting for a chance to pounce. He came next to me and was raising what looked like a dagger when I changed my dagger into a short sword and jumped up, in a defensive stance. I cast out with my mind To Padme and Roon, We're under attack!! The nightling assasin was surprised about my reaction, and was slow to react. I knew there was mor than one, for I sensed minds outside as backup. Two of them looked like mages, and seven others regular foot soldiers.

When I stabbe the assasin in the back, I went out of my tent, battle ready, hoping the others had heard my mind call.

"We're under attack!" The child's cry suddenly cried out in Padme's mind surprising her out of her slumber. Her ears pricked up immediately, picking out the sound of creatures moving beneath her. She also heard a clang of metal come from the tent, definite signs of a human battle.

Raising her head, the brave warrior peered underneath her branch, where two shadows were creeping towards the tent. Tarok suddenly rushed out with his small sword, moving with dextertiy befitting even a rabbit warrior herself. The two shadows immediately rushed the child, coming towards him with long shiny swords.

"NIAAAAH! Cowardly humans DIE!" Padme shouted loudly as she grasped her staff, leaping out of the tree like a flying squirrel. She flew over ground in a blur, her staff cracking against the head of one of the cloaked figures. It went down with a loud cry, sounding like a grown human male. The yellow furred creature barely managed to stay on his back as he fell forwards, no longer concious. She immediately leaped off of his still form, landing right beside Tarok. "EVIL enemy find us first!"

I heard the call of the nightling, and I cast out to see how many were attacking. I sensed a few mages and instantly began creeping towards them. I crept up behind them, and I immobilized one, and knocked out the other.
We'll keep these for interrogation I thought.

OoC: One foot soldier and one mage?

BiC: "You got that right." I said to Padme. I changed my dagger into a palasch and swung. I got two of the soldiers and jumped back and changed my dagger into a javalin and threw it at the soldier, and it went through his head. I summoned it back with magic and changed it into a longsword. I left the other soldiers to Padme and went for the remaining mage. He shot an ice shard at me. I rolled to the left and he started to try and infitrate my mind. I did the same thing. I got him down to his knees, but a soldier came behind me.

I stabbed the longsword back and it buried itself into his stomach.I had the mage down flat on the ground but as I was raising my sword, an arrow flew right past me.So much for getting a good nights sleep. I thought while the soldiers surrounded me, and no doubt the archer was training another arrow, right at my heart.

Tarok was a surprisingly good warrior for a human of his age, so when he ran off to face more enemies, Padme allowed him to go on his own. She had a new group of the EVIL humans coming for her, anyways. Sticking her staff in her mouth, the large rabbit ran on all fours towards one of the oncoming figures, leaping on its hooded head before it could strike. The hood slid over the creature's face as Padme's feet slid down upon landing, and she had to grab on to its head to stay on. Immediately, the thing started crying out, waving its arms, and the other two figures nearby ran to help it.

Before the impending attackers could strike the brave warrior with their swords, she jumped backwards off of the figure, the enemy's swords striking the poor creature's face. There was a horrible scream, and the two cloaked humans came at Padme again with renewed anger. She quickly started running away from them, leaping back into the tree. They rushed to the bottom of it, glaring up at the yellow furred creature with red eyes.

"What, scared now? We're gonna make stew out of you!" One of the humans yelled at Padme and pulled himself up into the tree to bring her down. The other figure next to him remained below, should the clever creature try to run.

"Ha! Stupid human! Can't catch great warrior, Padme!" The long eared rabbit took off further up into the trees, her deft paws flying up the rough bark. She ran off onto a long arching branch, expertly balancing herself on the end of it. With angry grunts, the human climbed up after her, smiling malitiously once he made it on to the same branch.

"Nowhere to run now, stupid rabbit!" The human grinned cruelly as he inched towards Padme, clearly not as comfortable on the tree as she was.

"No run, silly human: jump!" Padme laughed as she leaped off of the branch, reaching her paws up to catch herself on a higher branch. The movement caused the branch to bend, making the human loose his balance. His arms flailed out and circled like a windmill, and then his feet slipped, sending him down on to the forest floor below. There was a terrible crash as he hit the ground, his head smacking on one of the tree's exposed roots. The human lay there moaning, but stopped after a few moments, clearly unconsious.

Before the other human could react, Padme tore down the thick tree, half falling. When she was about half way down the trunk, she kicked her feet hard against it, smashing straight into the chest of the human running towards its knocked out companion. He fell to the ground with a thick thud, and before he could react, Padme was already standing on his chest, her staff held high above her head. With a heavy swing, she thrust her staff at the man's head, effectively knocking him out.

I had let them get close to me and had not moved, letting the archer train his arrow. When I heard the twang of the bowstring, I sent out the wave of magical energy. The energy sent the arrow back and I manipulated it and sent it back to the archer, hopefully hitting him. I didn't have time to check, for I was locked in battle with one of the better swordsman, keeping me from using magic. I wondered where Roon was.

Sorry, for some reason it didn't tell me you guys had posted.

As I was holding the mage down with magic, I heard shouts of many men. I ran after the sounds, leaving the mage immobilized. As I grew near, I saw Tarok fighting too many men. I flew into the fray, scratching, clawing, and biting as I went through. I fatally wounded many men with my speed and vigor.

Padme glanced up from the unconsious men around her, the rabbit's attention focusing on the battle ensuing between the attackers and her newly aquired friends. She immediately ran to their aid, though there were only two men left. As she came closer, she noticed that Tarok had used his blade to kill, a very dishonerable act, but as the blood had been spent in self defense, she saw no reason to reprimand him. The fox had also been tearing the men to pieces, causing their blood to rain upon the ground. This made the brave warrior sick, and that she would have to talk to the fox about.

With a powerful charge, Padme ran headlong into one of the men's legs, knocking him backwards off his feet. She then jumped, whipping herself around in midair, and spun her staff into the unlucky attacker's face. With a sickening crack, the man's head was knocked to the side, his eyes closed. Now there was only one attacker left...

I finished the last one off quickly, not wanting to see his face. I went to see what the other two thought of all this.

"Ha! EVIL enemies be no match for Padme!" The brave warrior raised her staff up triumphantly, though she found the bleeding corpses around her to be quite disturbing. Tarok had easily disposed of the last enemy, however dishonorably, and they were all safe...for now, at least. While some of the attackers had been killed during the assualt, most had just been knocked out, and that left plenty of people for questioning. Padme herself had never conducted her own interrogation, as she never had to ask a human what they were acutally doing in her forest to find out what it was--which was always trouble, of course. Now, however, she needed to find out just what these EVIL creatures wanted with her friend.

The first oppertunity came when she heard someone groaning near the large oak tree. She immediately ran over to the sound, closely followed by Tarok and the fox. The large rabbit immediately realized that this was the one who had fallen from the tree, and she wasn't sure how much time she had before his other companions awoke again. They would have to get this over with quickly, then leave before the EVIL men could track them down again.

"I knew I should have set up wards...." I mumbled to myself. But it was to late now. Then I heard the groan. I was on my toes as it was. I wanted to see what Padme would do about him.

The yellow furred creature was an intimidating sight indeed when she lept onto the concious man's chest, her staff pressing uncomfortably against his neck.

"You tell Padme what you do in her forest!" The rabbit's eyes were hard and cold, her high piched voice trembling with anger.

"Shaddup, filthy creature!" The red eyes glaring up at her narrowed with vicious hatred, and the man tried to swat her off of him. Definately not the type of guy who liked to stay on the ground.

"YOU LISTEN!" Padme twirled her staff and thrust it into the man's stomach before his arm even reached two inches off of the ground. He gasped as the air rushed out of him, and he was too weak to try anything more. Padme again placed her staff at his throat, forcing his chin upward. "You tell or DIE!"

A grunt was her horrified response. Out of anger at such disrespect, she smacked the man's face with her staff, the bangles on it clinking together noisily. She turned her head to Tarok, asking with her eyes for him to help get some sense out of their prisoner.

I got it Padme. I said to her with my mind. I went over and concentrated. I sent images of his gruesome death that I hoped would make him talk. It worked. I then said to the man, "You listen to the rabbit now or that will happen to you."

Padme could feel the man shaking beneath her, and she glared meanacingly into his fearful eyes. "You hear Tarok! Now, you tell us why you come!"

The man grimaced and gritted his teeth together, as if he were phsyically trying to stop the words that would soon come from his mouth. "That kid...he's valuable. They need him."

"WHO need him?"

"Our leader...I can't...I can't reveal him. He'd do even worse things to me than you." The man grunted angirly, his gaze suddenly turning from the rabbit to the dark boy. "They'll keep coming for you, kid. Doesn't matter what you do to me. Not even your traitor parents could stop us."

Without warning, the man suddenly grabbed Padme's staff, throwing it, as well as her, into the nearby tree. She hit it with a solid thud as the man jumped up and turned to run back into the woods. The brave rabbit barely managed to catch up with him, but it only took one big leap and a mighty swing before he was back unconcious on the ground.

"Quick, Tarok! We must gather things and leave before EVIL ones come for Tarok again!" Padme could see that the child was upset, whether by anger or sadness she could not tell. Still, she hoped that Tarok would listen to reason and run before the enemy had another chance to attack him.

I was angry. Worthless!!! I then came to my senses, and started packing things up. It all went up in the air and came into my pack.

I walked to the campsite, and I saw Tarok packing up.
