The Great and Terrible Ragnarok

Sorry folks, this thread is now FULL. Posters are TP or Oot, me, Yusei, and Fluesopp(if ever he posts) POST OFTEN OR YOU WILL GET LEFT BEHIND!

"Beware! BEWAAAARE!" An old man leaped in the ashes of the fire that had once been before him, his bony arms flailing in the air. "Evil HAUNTS us all!"

Many people I saw about the streets laughed at the old fool, wagging their heads and commenting on his diry robes. There was no crowd that found the man interesting enough to stay and watch, though many stopped for a moment to peer at the old man.

Feeling pity on the old man, I walked to him, a calm expression on my face. "Good Sir, what is this danger that haunts you?"

The old man leaped at me, grasping my shoulders and staring at me as if he were living the last few seconds of his life. "What haunts me? What haunts ME, you ask! It haunts us ALL! The terrible RAGNAROK!"

I gently removed the mad man's hands from my shoulders, still keeping my expression placid. "Ragnarok? You mean the end of the world?"

"Yes! Yes, yes, YES! And no." It is the end of OUR world, child! The great dragon's smoke has come from the mountain! HE is awake!"

"He? But dragons are not normally such violent creatures." I mused quietly. Truly this old man was insane.

"You must run! Run for your lives before his flame CONSUMES us all!" The old man then tore away from me, hobbling down the street as fast as he could. The townsfolk laughed again as the man ran off, turning their attention back to the various loads they carried.

Then it happened.

A massive shadow suddenly blew over me, covering the entire street in shadow. I looked at the massive strech of its wings, the length of the tail...

"Ragnarok!" A woman shrieked, dropping her earthen pot onto the ground with a crash. Her cry of fear was followed by many others, and in an instant, the town was in chaos.

"Somone call the gaurds!"

"That thing is huge! They've already seen it, you idiot!"

"We're dead! We're all dead!"

"Stop whimpering and get the children out of here!"

I stood my ground as the people rushed past me, some grabbing any tool in sight that could be used as a weapon. In the air I could see it, the brown scaled creature that flew just above the rooftops. Its neck extended far out from its body, spiked bones poking out from its spine and tail. The creature stared at the city with its red eyes flaming, its scales gleaming in the sun.

Without warning, the dragon gave out a mighty roar, shaking the town to its very foundations. It suddenly swerved down into the city, toppling the rooftops of the brick buildings it rammed into.

May the Goddesess have mercy! This creature will destroy the entire town!

ooc: Awesome, I like the set up. And fluesopp, feel free to join, just which character is it?

Bic: I had recently entered this area that was call Ragnorice, or beginning of the end of the world, though people nowadays used a more updated language, and the old one was quickly forgotten by previous generations, all but wiping it out. In the distance I see a hill and I begin to attempt to reach its summit. As I reach it I see a big town with a volcano in the distance and I notice smoke coming out of the mountain. Is the village in danger from an erupting volcano? I wonder, and too my horror, I find out the village is in danger, yes, but from something totally different.

As I watch the volcano I watch huge, brown, leathery wings rise out of the summit. A giant, brown, firebreathing, angry dragon rises out of the volcano and turns and heads towards the village. I dash off as quick as I can to warn the village.

Well, fire is not going to do much...perhaps the best thing I can do is distract it... Though very much aware that I was about to reveal myself in front of all of these people, I decided it was irrelavant. These people needed help.

I felt heat emminate from my body as I released my energy, causing my wings to strech out from my back. Most people were too busy running around to notice the glowing orange creature standing in the street, but some stopped to stare. With a leap, I threw myself into the air, using my wings to sustain my height.

"Hey, dragon! Let's see how tough you are now!" I focused more heat into my hands, causing a fire to blaze forth. With a heavy thrust, I threw the flame at the dragaon, the small burning balls striking its shining scales. The attack hardly did anything but bounce off of the dragon, which roared another ground shaking cry. Its eyes fixed on me and it came towards me, moving with frightening speed.

Well, at least I have its attention. I fled from the dragon, flying high above the town and into the grassy hills that bordered the city.

OOC: I'll join. Would be fun. Character I am using is Avinash Sulfura, who all refer to as the Plague. I think it would be fitting that Avinash set the dragon to do this. After all, it is his nature to do so.

BIC:

"Well that worked out far better than I thought it would be."

A man stood on the top the mountain in which the dragon came out of. His body was covered in a dark cloak, all but his black dragon wings and his black dragon tail. He gave a quick smile and laughed gently to himself. The destruction of the village only fueled his insane and warped mind.

"Yes, dragon. Come now and destroy and kill." He said to himself, watching flames sprout out of the dragon's maw. "It was all so easy to manipulate you... Yes, destroy and kill! Burn this land you manipulated fool!"

As I dashed towards the village I saw an orange humanoid with wings jump into the air. It was wielding a quarterstaff and was casting fire at the dragon.

Ooh, a magician, they will help me deal with this dragon. But the magician is either a: stupid, b: reckless, or c: just trying to draw the dragon away. I hope it is c.

I changed my course to help the orange figure. As I drew near I witnessed the dragon open its mouth. I could feel it sucking in air and realized with horror what it was about to do to the figure. I summoned some energy and cast an orb of water into the dragon's mouth. The dragon chocked and while the dragon was distracted I used the air to float me up to the figure. As I drew near I saw that it was a girl roughly the same age as me.

"Need any help?" I asked calmly.

"Yes please, " she replied.

"If I may ask, what is your name? Mine is Zildor"

"Leonna, Leonna Fallenstar."

"Well Leonna, looks like we are in for a tough fight. How adept are you at magic?"

"I'm not very good, and I can only cast fire."

"Ok, this makes this a little more difficult."

Suddenly, the dragon roared an earsplitting roar. It opened its mouth again to breathe fire. I quickly cast another water orb at it, but the dragon dodges and breathes fire at me. I cast a wave of water at the dragon, and slowly the length of the fire becomes shorter and the water gets longer. The dragon cuts off the fire and dodges to the side. I summon a rainstorm as the dragon dives at me. I pull out my sword and I dodge under it and I slice at his belly. It creates a shallow wound. The dragon roars, and becomes even more enraged.

"I can't keep myself up here in the air much longer," I shout the Leonna, "I'm going to have to fight from the ground!"

"That is fine." I did not have much time to think to much about the floating stranger in his black cloak, for the dragon was enraged, circling around me like a poisonous snake.

What could have caused such anger? I dived to the side as the dragon came towards me, avoiding its gaping jaws. Unfortunantly, I did not expect to see the lashing tail that came after it, throwing me to the ground as its spikes pierced into my side. My staff whistled out of my grasp as the ground came rushing towards me.

I moaned with pain after I hit the ground, feeling many of my bones broken. Thankfully, the grass had acted as a soft cusion, but the impact had still been hard. Because I could no longer use my arm, I focused my power into it, willing the wound to heal itself. Slowly, my flesh began to repair itself, reacting to the energy seeping into it. Before it was even halfway healed, I saw the dragon come at me again, this time gaping its mouth open wide to breathe fire. I lifted my good arm up in front of my face, having no better protection from the oncoming attack.

OoC: Sorry I couldn't include Avi...Leonna just isn't aware of him at the moment...

ooc:I'll mention your character Yusei in a minute. Right now my charac's attention is focused on the drag.

Bic: As I dropped myself to the ground, I gave myself a moment to get more energy from the grass around me. The grass around me suddenly turned black and brown. As the rain poured down, the dragon knocked Leonna to the ground, hurting her severely. The dragon dived towards her and prepared to breath fire. I jumped in front of her and pulled up a wall of water.

I left it there to protect her, and began to confront the dragon. The dragon let loose the fire and it crashed into the wall of water. It protected Leonna, but the rain wasn't doing anything to the fire. I increased the amount of water falling, as well as it's speed. I ran at ragnorok and stabbed into it's belly. This time it created a deep wound, and blood began to pour out from it. It stopped breathing fire and flew into the air to recover. I removed the wall of water and stooped down to inspect Leonna. By now she was mostly healed, but I aided with the process. I needed to stop and draw some more energy from the grass. I did so, getting the same results. By now the dragon had recovered and began its attack once more.

OoC: First of all... Dragons are not manipulative. If anything, they are manipulating others. At least, real dragons... Must be a weak minded dragon then...
Also, I do not hope this is really the ragnarok? Because that was with Norse gods and a giant wolf, not a dragon.


"Psh.." A passing guard heard me and stared terrified at me.

"What? You're not running?"

"Why should I run?" I answered and looked at the shadow passing by on the ground. "T'is just a puny dragon."

"Just a puny dragon? It's gonna ruin this city! It's the end of the world!"

At this point I had grown weary of the fool of a guard, and just wanted to shake him off. "He sure has a reason for doing this. What did you do to him?"

"Reason.. What I did? Kid, do you want to get yourself killed?!"

"Perhaps?" I amused him and left for the town center. "Or perhaps he does."

"Wha.. Hey, watch out!" The wild flying of the dragon had damaged a brick house nearby and as I went by, the last support had faltered and sent a large portion of the house in my general direction. The guard yelped as I reached out my hand and caught it, and threw it away. He did not seem to notice the green scales who now covered my hand. I looked back at him, but he was running away, the coward he was.

"Well dragon, it's you and me. Let's see what you got in your hold, shall we? I'd like some diamonds, or some rubies," I said to myself as I reached the center of town, and prepared to transform, but the dragon had left the town already. I cursed under my breath, before deciding it might be for the best. I would have the moment of surprise on my side.

Lifting my wings, I beat twice and pushed myself high up before I transformed fully. That way It would be even easier to attack. I smiled slightly as clouds filled the skies, and rain poured down. Just like it should be when two great creatures clashed in battle. It wouldn't harm or be of hindrance for any of us, but I felt a bit sorry that there would probably be no humans to tell the tale later.

I twitched my wings in the air and gracefully entered a steep dive with my wings tucked hard against my sides. The dragon was mine!

Just before impact I opened my wings, and dug my claws into the scales of the dragon, and with my teeth I tried to get a grip of his neck. He was a little larger than I, but the force of the collision forced it to the ground, screaming. But with powerful legs he kicked hard off and we ended up rolling in the fields, jaws snapping at each other, talons tugging at the scales.

But the brown dragon seemed to be stronger though, and I was thrown away almost as quickly as I had attacked. I stood up and faced him with a roar.

<Who are you, and how dare you attack me?!> The brown dragon spoke, in draconic.

<I am Isith, your bane!> I answered in my deepest voice I could.

<Isith, then be sure of this, don't judge me by my size!>

<I'll judge you by the size of your hold!>

We clashed together again, and this time he had clearly the upper hand.

OoC: He hasn't noticed anyone else except the other dragon.

Ooc: So, is this before I start battling him? I'm kind confuzzed.

Bic:"Dragon! Who are you and what do you want?" I projected my voice towards the dragon.

"I AM THE DRAGON. I COME TO DESTROY!" Ragnarok bellowed

"Why do you want to destroy? And what do you to destroy?"

"SILLY MEDDLING HUMANS HURT MY KIN! ALL HUMANS MUST DIE!"

The dragon then rushed towards me, and I blew at him, causing him to be thrown backwards.

"SILLY HUMAN HAVE GOOD MAGIC! SILLY HUMAN MUST DIE!"

"I'm afraid my magic might not be good enough." I thought to myself.

I then jumped up at him and struck at his head with my sword. It did a shallow scratch but nothing more. I realized my sword would be useless and so I pulled out my battle ax. I jumped and sliced at his wing. It ripped, leaving a huge gash. I blew at him again, and he flew backwards, and slammed into the ground. I felt a tingling inside me but I ignored it and gathered what energy I could until the dragon came back. The dragon ran over the ground and prepared to breathe fire again. As he released his breath, I cast water again. But instead of water, it was ice! I gasped in suprise. The ice ran up the fire, freezing as it went. Soon, it disappeared inside the dragon, but I could hear it doing its work. Luckily, the dragon bellowed and ran/glided towards the mountain to recuperate because I was exhausted after casting my first ice spell.

Ooc: I ain't sure what happened to Fluesopp's Derek, but I think it has something to do with the time space continum.

BiC: I stared at the dragon as it flew back up into the mountain, a large gash in its wing. If that thing comes back, it will only be angrier...

A bright green spark suddenly tore my attention from the fleeing dragon, and I saw the source of what had made such a terrible racket. Not twenty feet away was a large green dragon, though compared to the brown one it had taken on, it was fairly small. To my dismay, I saw that the dragon had landed only inches away from where my staff had been. Compared to the dragon, even the bright glimmer of my weapon seemed dull.

Thanks to the dark robed man, my wounds were all but gone, though my body was still somewhat sore. With great trepidation, I edged towards the green scaled creature, whose eyes were fixated on the fleeing dragon.

Maybe it will not notice me...if I could just reach my staff quickly enough...

Ooc: I put away the wall of water already. Now I'm sorta out of creative ideas on what to do next atm.

Ooc: Ok I think I've got an idea for when the dragon dies. Like Yusei gets really mad and makes the volcano start erupting and we go and check what it is and meet yusei and deck it out.

Bic:I watch the dragon flying a way, and I look back at Leonna. I walk over to her and and she points at her staff. It is lying by a huge, green dragon. I run over, grab it and run back. I give it to Leonna and as I do that the green dragon stirs. I look up and I see the brown dragon coming back. So soon? I wonder. There must be someone helping the dragon. The brown dragon doesn't notice the green and the green dragon swoops in and attacks ragnorok. Ragnorok gets the green dragon off and they attack again. Obviously, this time the brown dragon has the upper hand.

I stared at the staff in my hand, then looked back at the black robed man. So quick to offer aid wherever he sees fit...

Come to think of it, I sensed something strange about him. There was nothing much to give it away, for he looked perfectly normal. He wore a tunic as many men did in the town, and his build and height was impressive, though still nothing odd. It was his magical aura that struck me the most, the ease to which energy flowed through him to create magic. What was confusing to me, however, was the slight smell of a dog that drifted about his aura. Such a uniqe presence I have never felt around another creature...

My gaze was torn from the stranger as the green dragon leaped into the air, flying towards the huge brown creature like an arrow. Let us pray it overcomes this great threat...otherwise, my power alone will not be able to preserve the lives of these people...

OoC: Just a tip, TP, you might want to limit your control over the other characters just a bit. Making a big decision like having Fluesopp's dragon attack should probably be made by Fluesopp.

Ooc: I do, Fluesopp has already posted the beginning of his attack, and he said he attacked now.

OOC: Remember my character is a half dragon ;D. Look Closely at his bio again.

BIC: "These dragons are weak and pitiful." The man said to himself. "Eventually they will falter. I grow bored of this. Perhaps I should fight them myself and show them true, Ragnarök as they say." He chuckled to himself.

I leapt into the air again, knowing that the green dragon would need help to bring the great beast down. While I was not entirely sure how to do such a thing, I had to at least try.

I reached the creatures in a matter of seconds, staying a good few yards away from any attacks. "Hey, beast! Remember me?"

The brown dragon roared in reply, sounding like something between a scoff and a battle cry. Still, the majority of its attention was focused on the green dragon, which it obviously made out to be a greater threat. I threw a few more fireballs at it, hopefully enough to give the other dragon an open shot.

Then it caught my eye. A large shadow, even blacker than the volcanic rock beneath it. It was too small to be another dragon, but it would make a large human. What manner of creature is this? "Show yourself!" I yelled to it, dreading that it had no good intentions to help our fight.

I watched as the dragon fought. I was aware the girl was staring at me, but then suddenly it was gone. I don't know why but the ran to where the dragons were fighting viscously. She shouted at the brown dragon, but it ignored her. She cast fireballs at it, but it did nothing.
What does she think she's doing? I wondered.
She shouted something towards the mountain. I looked and I saw a black figure. I could just barely make out what it was. It was larger than a human, but not as big as a dragon. It was a human with dragon features on it. One half of its body was decayed. I grew suspicious, knowing that it could only want one thing. I wouldn't be able to get to it in time by running, so.. I transformed into a wolf and dashed off towards the creature, going much faster than any human could. I soon arrived where the figure was.

I felt a claw reaching under a belly-scale, tugging powerfully, and as we came loose from each other I saw a stream of blood pouring down my belly. The pain was not great, but it was clear who had the upper hand; I wasn't even near hurting him. So I decided to change my approach. He was perhaps stronger than me, but with our equal size, an aerial battle would perhaps raise my chance of winning.

Almost simultaneous we spread our wings and took to the skies. And to my surprise, I lost track of him in a second. He was just too quick to follow, and the skies did not do anything to help me as he hid behind them, just as I had done a moment ago.

A pillar of fire shoot from the skies like lightning, and passed me by an inch. I replied in the same manner, but I had no idea at all where to aim, before he rammed me from above. Like a wounded bird I tumbled towards the ground, with the brown dragon clawing at me from every angle. Arcing my neck, I unleashed a torrent of fire all around me, forcing my enemy to withdraw and giving me time to level up.

<I told you to not underestimate me,> the brown dragon roared.

<Then who are you, who are so strong, but yet so small?>
All the time we circled each other, shooting fireballs at each other in a attempt to throw the other off balance.

<Ridamir, the ever young dragon!> he bellowed at me, accompanying it with a torrent of fire. <But the people here call me Ragnarok.>

He was about to attack again when a fireball hit his side, and disrupted him enough for me to dodge his charge.

<Then, Ridamir,> I roared, <If you really are ever young, then let me show you what death is!>

I soon arrived where the figure was.

OOC: Using TP or OOT's character real quick for a minute to help along.

BIC:

The man shifted slightly, seeing something speeding towards him, kicking up dirt into the air. The man growled and just before the now wolf version of Zlindor struck with his teeth, he formed a sword of out of his shadows and used to to block the wolf's attack. A second later, the dragon-man spun himself around, kicking Zlindor off to the side. The wolf struggled and got back on all fours eventually reverting to his human form and drawing a hand-and-a-half sword.

"Who are you?" Zlindor asked. "Are the you the cause of this?"

The dragon-man snickered and drew his sword up in a stance which either could be used to defend himself or attack. Surely he was a master at swordsplay. "Perhaps I am and perhaps I am not. These dragons can be blinded from the simplest of reasons."

Zlindor gave a wolf-like growl and dashed ahead to strike. The dragon-man pulled his blade up to defend himself and succeeded in halting Zlindor.

"What is your name, beast!" Zlindor said.

The dragon-man curled his lips in a smile. "Thousands of people fear me and my names. Even greater than those thousands are those who I have killed. I am 'he who slain thousands', 'The Plague', 'The Devil Incarnate', and other names which people have made to show their fear." He pushed Zlindor easily aside and drew his blade to his neck, easily ripping a thin cut on his neck. "I feed off fear, destruction, and despair."

Zlindor struck his sword and managed to connect a blow to the Plague and forced him back.

"Little whelp..." The Plague growled. "You'll pay for it."

OOC: Careful on his fighting now. Don't make it one sided with Zlindor over powering The Plague. The Plague has 15 years in swordplay and fighting hand to hand. Oh and Fluesopp, just make it the Plague angered the dragons ;D. He has that way of doing things.

It was not difficult to see that the stranger was now in great danger. Not only was the dark man he faced full of evil magic, but his experience with the sword was apparent merely by the way he held it.

"Well, Evil One, let us see how you face off against a demon!" I released my flame, allowing it to spread onto my hands and halfway up my arm. With a few heavy thrusts, I sent a stream of fireballs at the half decayed creature, each much hotter and larger than the ones I had thrown at the dragon.

OoC: Uh oh, now he's gonna have to face off against TWO enemies! Oh...and though technically Leonna isn't a demon, she just sees herself as one, so that's why she said it.
