Dawn of A New Era(Zorolo)

Five miles above the Atlantic Ocean drifting atop a floating slab of rock closely resembling an island, carved into pure white marble. The City of mages; Forever enclosed on all sides by black storm clouds to discourage wanderers, and constantly floating in an unsymmetrical pattern, Twice the size of London, and completely symmetrical in design. It was purposely designed to look like a paradise, but within it’s marble slabs there are whispers, albeit only whispers, of rebellion, fatigue, and discomfort with the great walls that enclose them. Though few dared speak against the rulers of the great city, it seemed even the walls had ears. So they lived constantly in fear, though they had food and wealth that had no freedom, so many of them had disappeared for the simplest transgression and tension was beginning to rise; Aye the City of Mages, a place between two extremes. Between fear and peace.

Kaze paid no attention to the faux smiles plastered on the denizen’s faces as he walked by, his cape fluttering in the wind behind him. Nodding slightly to people who waved at him, and smiling at the children who looked at him with wonder Kaze moved on leading his guest forward. To the people he was seen as something of a legend, or a hero, all people of this Grand city knew the council of Mages existed and from time to time one would make a grand speech in the city square but The Grand Arch mage was the only one to walk the streets as one of them and subsequently he was the only one the people trusted. For this reason, and perhaps this reason alone, the council –which has been far but approving of Kaze’s actions- allowed him to have a seat in the council’s chamber.

“Halt!” Two guards said in unison, judging by the insignia on their uniform they belonged to the Fire Division of the State Army(All Citizens belonged to a part of the army, their placement is decided during training and as a result of their Stats), “Who is he,” One Guard said pointing to Zach.

“He has no been approved,” The Second Said Coarsely.

“He lacks a permit from the Visitor Registration Department,”

“He does not have an access pass to the council’s HQ,”

“He does not even have legal authorization to exist within these Walls,”

“How Dare you bring an intruder,”

“He will be executed at once with you along with him,”

“Now now,” Kaze said shaking his head, “You and I both know you wont kill me, even if you tried. And you Know I really don’t care about your laws, I just have business with the council as does my friend here so please let us pass,” The Grand Arch Mage Of Wind said with a glare, “Or I will force myself in” Sliding one foot back, and putting his hands in front of his face as if ready to strike a gust of wind blew in all directions as warning.

“Gentlemen Stand down,” Suddenly the grand doors the two guards stood in front burst open in a burst of light so intense even Kaze had to cover his eyes. When the light died down their stood a small boy no older then ten. His eyes were a cold damp read, and his orange hair was bowl cut just above his ears, he wore a robe that looked to big for him making him even smaller in comparison. On His shoulder was the insignia of fire.

“Kyden, It’s been so long how have you been,” The Arch Mage replied with a large fake smile.

“This way,” The boy did not react; he simply motioned towards the door and began walking away.

“That’s Kyden, the newest addition to the council as I killed the last flame mage. Nice kid, bit of a sociopath though,” Kaze whispered to Zach who seemed a little dumbfounded. “I supposed I should give you the rundown on who you are expecting to meet it goes like this First; Omega Wizard of Light, nobody knows his name but you’ll recognize him. You just will, then there is; Amadahy She’s the water one, Totally hot Native chick. Next is; Roark A Good friend of mine and the Arch Mage of the Earth, a little dim witted. Finally is; Alice. Ummm…Lets not talk about her”
“Is that is,”
“Theirs more, but they wont be in the chambers today. Just us. And Zach…Just don’t say anything stupid, these people don’t suffer fools,”

Today had started off strange enough as it was, but things seemed to only get weirder as the day went on, Zachary thought to himself as he looked around the odd palace. Kaze had been explaining things to him, such as the town's defense, the magical levels of the city, how things were broken up, and the symmetry of design in the city, but nothing could even prepare Zachary for the people here.

His first impression of people he actually spoke to started with the guards. They were just as presumptuous and feeble as guards everywhere else. After all, justice wasn't theirs to dispense. Had the strange boy, who the Archmage of Wind later identified as the leader of the fire corps, not shown up, the Replicator was prepared to strike a killing blow without hesitation.

Still, nothing, and that means nothing, could have prepared Zachary for the young boy that emerged from the doors of the building. His robes were several sizes to large, or his body was several sizes too small, and he seemed almost terrifying in nature. A chill ran up Zachary's spine when he first looked at the boy, but the Sorcerer of Blades quickly shook this feeling off. This Council of Mages was starting to seem stranger by the moment.

The ice mage listened as the wind mage explained each of the Council members. It was hard to believe that, with as quirky and strange as the others were, the relatively normal Kaze was among their ranks. The description of the light mage leader left images of some kind of godly figure in Zachary's head as he walked. Something like how Zeus was portrayed in a human form, only with a brimming golden light or something around him.

The amateur sorcerer couldn't shake two things about this Kyden person. The fact that Kaze had killed the last one was a bit off, but the second fact, that a young boy could be the new one, was even stranger. Still, natural talent did, sometimes, outweigh years of training. Zachary had pondered one problem though: he had no idea what a Sociopath was. So, he simply shrugged off the thought and continued walking.

The wind mage said something that Zachary took note of quite heavily as the two continued along. "... And Zach... just don’t say anything stupid, these people don’t suffer fools,” the man said.

The ice mage nodded as he crossed his arms. "All I'm here to do is pitch the idea you and I had to these... this Council of Mages. After that, we can get to work. After all... I'm getting some vibes that once we get the okay, we'll have to find a way to fund our school and a place to build it..." The Sorcerer of Blades paused as he looked down the hall at the young boy, the leader of the fire mages, "but this is worth it. I have the feeling we're providing a service that is needed."

To maintain the perfect symmetry in the city the council’s chambers stood atop the highest tower in the very center of the building, designed like an six-sided star. Each point of the star thus pointed to the city district that corresponded with that point’s elemental attribute. Further more each of the Council was granted an office room exactly like the others, looking towards their own corresponding district. In the middle of the great building was a large spiral staircase that expanded the height of the tower, never stopping till it reached the floor below the council’s chambers. Another small flight of stairs (Their where six small sets of stairs on each point of the building, all leading upwards to the main room. Each Council Member had their own door to enter, to keep with the strict symmetrical rules) leading to the council chambers.

“Take your visitor through your Entrance Kazaisu” The boy walked slowly off in his own direct, across the empty expansive room; The Only decoration in this white room where the six stair cases, each with a different insignia above it.

“Can Do Kyden, always nice to see you, “ Kyden didn’t respond, “What an ass. Confused yet Zach? This way, hurry up the council hates to be kept waiting, almost as much as they hate going to meetings instigated by me,” Kaze replied simply, walking briskly towards the staircase with the wind insignia above it.

The Staircase was short and led directly to a simple wooden door, Walking through was the council chamber. A Dark ominous room, the only source of light where the sixteen candles on the council’s six-sided star shaped table, which took up the majority of the room. Sitting on a throne instead of a seat was a large bearded man, his hair along with his clothes where pure white that seemed to sparkle in the candle lit light. Beside him was a long black staff with a white orb adorned on top of it.

Sitting across from him was a small petit Asian girl. She was dressed in a black lolita fashion with to many bows to count on her show puff black dress. She had her blond hair tied up in pigtails with large black ribbons, despite this she looked more menacing then cute, her pure black eyes sucking all energy out of her attire in a way that seemed completely unreasonable.

Sitting across from Kyden –who was staring blankly at forward- was Amadahy, adorned in a bright blue Bikini, her long brown hair that cascaded down her light brown skinned seemed still wet, as if she just came from the beach. Across her back was a large hunting bow, and a quiver of numerous arrows. Kaze Sat down at his seat beside Amadahy and the Omega Wizard, and across from Roark’s sea, though Roark himself seemed missing. Motioning for Zach to stand in the background he began the meeting.

“Where’s Roark?”

“He’s over seeing operations in India, you knew this,” Alice said harshly.

“You didn’t invite him to our meeting…Oh I get it your hoping doing that will stop me from getting the votes needed,”

“Kaze no need to accuse her...” Amadahy spoke up but was interrupted.


“He was not needed for our delegations, it is a small meeting and their was no need to invite him, all the others where already in the city else they would have stayed at their assignments.” Kyden spoke coldly.

“Damnit Kyden stop ruining my fun. Kazey here doesn’t show up often and I can’t help but tease him,”

“Your so nice Alice, the way you run your mouth I am surprised no one has cut it off yet,”

“You wanna try,” She said with a smile that can only be described at frightening.

“Enough!” Finally the old man Spoke, “Kaze What have you gathered us here for,”

“I Just wanted to catch up with the family..”

“SILENCE, I will not have you wasting our time for such foolish matters. Explain. Now.”

“Fine , fine. You guys are stiff,” Kaze replied with a mock stretching motion, “But I am kinda tired, I’ll let Zach explain,”

The Replicator watched in what could only be described as confusion as the "family," as Kaze put it, spoke among themselves. The pit of snakes was missing one of its serpents, but the five here were more than enough, the ice mage noted. It seemed almost every one of them would have been more than happy to kill the other without a thought. I'd best be careful, or one of these snakes will sink its teeth into me. Best not to be on the losing side of these fights...

The Sorcerer of Blades adjusted his jacket as he stepped a few feet back. The symmetry of everything here had been making him dizzy, so a chance to move a little freely was happily taken as he looked at the group. Despite having come here to discuss important matters, the red haired mage had to quietly ponder what he was going to say, since the old man, who looked oddly like a mage Zachary had seen in something Monroe had called a "movie" didn't seem to like to be held up. Mostly not by these others.

To survive in a snake pit, you have to be a mongoose... or at least be bigger than the other snakes. Can't do that, so you just have to appeal to their sense of commonality. 'least that's what Z always said.

"First off, I'm Zachary Leos, the Sorcerer of Blades," the ice mage said as he looked at them. The title had been newly created for the sake of simplicity. Introducing himself without at least a formidable title seemed almost stupid, since it seemed to leave some lasting effect on people... even if Zorlo's hadn't.

"With the help of the Last Aura Master, Zorlo, and the power of the Dome, I have traveled through many worlds and seen many things. In all of my travels, I have encountered many kinds of people and many kinds of magical powers. Still, there is one common problem I have found, and that is when Magical powers manifest in a person, they can't be fully controlled or tamed by that person, so magical... "accidents" occur and innocent people are killed."

"What I'm proposing," the Replicator said as he looked across the room at the other four, since Kaze already knew what the red haired warrior was about to say, "is that a school be created where we can relocate mages from multitudes of worlds and train them to control their magic and to help them manifest it in a peaceful manner. This will prevent unneeded death and destruction at the hands of newly awakening mages, and it will reduce tensions between mage factions and mage hunters in worlds where the two are at odds."

"What I'm suggesting is that we find a place that's outside of time and space. A place that is probably contained within the Dome, so that we can keep these people in a place where their powers won't effect an outside world and stir up problems with neighbors and others. Kaze and I share a dream of, after these mages are properly trained, returning them to their societies to aid those societies and help those people. Through this end, we'll reduce the tensions between people who fear mages and mages."

"Lastly, through this, we can also find and create the most powerful institution of mages that has yet existed, aside from this Council, of course, and use its powers to slowly end the segregation between mages and non-mages. Finally, we can bring a kind of peace to the worlds, at least in some form. At least, it is what I hope we can achieve through these means."

The Sorcerer of Blades stepped back to the side of Kaze's chair and looked at the Council. It had been well stated and articulated, he hoped, but would these people understand? After all, they seemed more ready to stab each other than to agree on anything. At least there was a speck of hope this would work, right?

“Peace? You are trying to win us over with peace? Damnit why haven’t we killed you yet!?” Alice Screamed slamming her fists on the table, “We don’t have time or money to waste on hippies looking after the peace of the world, any world! We are stretched as it is, we don’t have time to fix every single persons problem for the hell of it, and we sure as hell don’t have enough men to support this school.”

“But Alice, he has good ideas, rough around the edges but look at it this way. If we lessen the tensions between Mages and non-Mages it will allow us to work more smoothly without having to hide in the shadows,”

“We Still don’t have enough men,” Kyden cut the water mage off, he seemed to do that a lot, “We don’t have time to waste men on these endeavours that may never see fruitation, nor do we have anything to gain from this,”

“We have plenty to gain!” Kaze piped in, “Our current system of finding mages is slow and troublesome, we can’t exist only taking the most powerful and the purposely bred in our city, why do you think we are so low on men? Our old system is not working!”

“How do we know this will work!” Alice contradicted, “Our system may not be the best, but if your plan fails it will leaves us severely in the hole. Not all of us can live forever,”

“If it works imagine how much time we could save!”

“We still gain nothing of value from this,” Kyden repeated coldly.

“What if we could?” Kaze said with a grin, ”What if in return you get an army, what about that?”

“An Army trained by who? You? Might as well give children sticks it’d be just as effective!” Alice Blasted back.

“Kaze is stronger then you think,” The Water Mage retorted, almost offended by that statement.

“It’s not a matter of Kaze’s Strength, but his ability to train.” Kyden clarified.

“Enough,” The Omega Wizard Boomed, “Voting will commence, beginning with Kaze, Yay or nay,”

“Yay,” Wind

“Yay,” Water

“Nay,” Dark

“—“ Earth is missing.

“Nay” Fire

“I am a bit perplexed by your intention Kaze,” The omega wizard said in a gruff voice, “I trust you will not go against the council, in that same stride I do not trust the same from your friend. My eyes see many things, and I know he is not to be trusted. However, you are very strong Kaze, in such a short time you have risen to much acclaim by the denizens of our fair city, such is a great test. This Sword mage too intrigues me, there are many things we do not know about magic from other realms, and to have these on our side would be an advantage in the long run. I do not approve of a full fledged school just yet, I will give you six months to create an operating school at one quarter of the size proposed, if it is a success I will give you a full year with half the proposed plan. If that too is successful then you can have your school, Yay”

“Thank you Omega Wizard, and Members of the council. As usual our meeting was as exciting as it was invigoration, you all know how to get my blood boiling so. As for Funding and location leave that up to Zach, and I, when we are finished will send my acolyte with the plans.”

“Very Well, Meeting Adjourned,”

“Sweet,”

“Very Well,”

“Goddamnit,”

“Fair enough,”

Zachary looked at the Omega Wizard. He was, doubtlessly, a smart man for not trusting the Sorcerer of Blades. The ice mage already could tell he didn't trust at least three of these people. Even so, they had given them minor room to breath. "Thank you, and don't worry about funding for materials. I know where to get that," the Replicator stated as he looked around once again. "Farewell," the red haired man said with a bow as he exited the large room and followed Kaze out of the building.

"So..." the Archmage of wind began, "what do you propose we start with? After all, I'm a bit of a loss as to where we will build this place, much less get the money."

Zachary chuckled. "If you recall Monroe, the guy that fought that Derrik person, he and I once discussed some stuff about a place Zorlo had told us about. A place called "The Edge of Time." It’s in the Dome, and it leads to a plane of emptiness. A landscape of dead planets whose lands have massed into a single linear landscape."

"The only problem with that place is that there isn't any oxygen or anything to build with. Also, the conditions of living are harsh, since sandstorms and rock storms and stuff occur quite frequently. Still, there is one thing useful. Because when planets die, the only thing that doesn't die with them is the magical energy, we can use the magical energy to power the school. By extracting the energy of limitless dying planets, we can keep the school powered for Epochs."

Kaze laughed as Zachary looked at him. "Still, we do have a few problems. We'd need an extremely powerful material to project a massive force field over where we're building. Any ideas?"

Kaze nodded. "Roark is in India, as you hear, looking for deposits of magical crystals. If we can power them through a Pylon, we can build a massive force field around the landscape."

"Okay, that sounds like it would work. Then we'll draw up the designs for it. We'll need to build a lot of things, so we first need to find people to assist us in rooting out mages and convincing them to join our cause. After all, we'll need a lot of help, and most mages would be more than happy to join our cause since they're out casted from their world."

"Okay, I'll draw up the blueprints for the place, I guess," Kaze commented, yawning slightly.

"We've got three things we have to do first. First, we need to slay the Guardian that Zorlo placed in front of the door to the "Edge of Time," and gain access there. After that, we need to get funding to buy the materials we need to build and begin recruiting. I have two ideas for people to help us. Only individuals, but better than none. I'll tell you about them after we take down this guardian," Zachary said as he continued along.

“As for the building, nothing Symmetrical for heavens sake,” Zach Said with a sigh as they slowly walked to the out skirts of the city.

“It’s hard to get used to I know,” Kaze replied with a laugh,” We need to make it out of something hard, light granite. At Least for the training rooms,”

“Perhaps we should have the training rooms outside to decrease the damage,”

“But having it inside would make them more disciplined and help them control their powers. Though some can be outside let’s start them off inside, and move outside when their powers become more mature. In either case most schooling will be done inside so strengthen rooms will be needed in case an attack goes out of control. I have some friends in the mining business and I am sure we can get the matieral,”

“Don’t worry about price, I know some people I can convince to invest in our project,”

“The way you say that scares me,” Kaze joked, “In anycase keep this on the down low as much as you can. Council business is always secret business so don’t tell all the details unless you have to. I Don’t want this coming back to bite us.”

“Agreed,”

“As for this Edge of time stuff, how exactly are we going to get their. Seems like a hard place to go.”

“The dome,”

“True, it seems to be connected to all places, well then I guess to the dome we go then,” As if hearing the conversation a bright light flashed before them. A Worm hole formed, the other side leading to the fountain room of the great building, “You think it knows?” Kaze commented walking into the room.

“As for training,” Zach said stepping through the hole in time, the warp space disintegrating behind him, “How should we start? We need to devise a training method that is usable for all types of different mages, as well as specialized classes for particular cases.”

“Start with theory,” Kaze said trying to suppress a yawn, “Chemistry, Physics, Magic, manna, Affinity, The elements stuff like that. We can’t start with blasts of fire is people don’t understand fire is made up of three components Fuel, Heat, and Oxygen. We can’t have people not understanding how their magic works or well just create an army of idiots. Our Students need to understand, to think and feel for themselves, before we teach any practical information. Much as I dislike the council they where right in that respect, if not for the teaching I received by them when I was younger I would be much weaker right now,”

“I agree, it is the best way to train up an army,”

“Enough of that for now, don’t we have a beastie to destroy?”

“I’m surprised,” Zach said with a smirk, “I didn’t expect you to be excited to fight,”

“I like a good challenge, don’t we all? Enough chit-chat you know the way right? Lead me to him so I can cut it in two,”

"Uh..." Zachary muttered as he continued to walk down the halls of the Dome. "The problem is that, like all good things, the Dome moves stuff about, making locating some of the same doors twice quite difficult. This one, luckily, doesn't seem to move... but it is near one of the charted supposed edges of the Dome. Since the Dome is potentially limitless, its just one of the excepted far points."

As the two continued down different halls, all seemingly linked to another, things shifted from the normal marble walls with designs into something much different. A long, large glass, arc shaped hallway became the only thing the two were surrounded by. Well, that and a vast, empty landscape filled with stars in the surrounding sky. Perhaps he had simply forgotten about how otherworldly this place really was, but the Replicator was in awe.

Before long, the two mages stood before a silver door. Well, silver in appearance. In reality, it was an opaque crystal with a powerful barrier around it to prevent space from sucking out all of the oxygen from the air. In front of the door, however, stood a relatively normal seeming person staring at the door.

"Someone beat us here," Kaze commented as he crossed his arms.

"I... don't think so," the Sorcerer of Blades commented as he took a slight step back. "I think... I think that's the guardian. But... such a normal looking person?" the ice mage asked, most perplexed.

The wind mage simply shrugged as he took a slight step forwards. The being turned slowly and stared at the two. "Begone. None shall pass..." the being said, half turning its head.

"But... we need to get through... can you let us pass?" Zachary asked, approaching slightly.

"No... the man with green hair said I shall guard this door from anyone. None shall pass," the creature said in a voice that seemed to almost moan and wale, as if in pain.

"We will pass... even if it means destroying you!" Zachary commented as Azul and Rosso formed in his hands. "Now move!" the red haired warrior said as he made the first move, rushing forwards.

The Wind mage watched with cool unease as Zach charged forward towards the beast, only to have the human looking thing grab Zach’s blade with his bare hand and use it to toss the Blade mage into the colourful barrier with a resounding thud. The Wind Mage noted how the barrier pulsed as Zachary impacted with it, like ripples in a still pond. The slightly Ho headed Mage got back to his feet quickly running and slashing forward, the strange being side stepped and delivered a power kick into the boy’s gut sending him flying back into the barrier once again. Once again the red headed mage returned to his feat, this time before he finished his charge he leapt over the creatures head, but before he could land on the other side of the strange human he was already at the receiving end of a kick that caused him to slid all the way to where Kaze was patiently waiting.

“What the Hell Kaze, going to help?”

“He’s not human, only looks the part. He has amazing physical strength, with reaction time that seems to border on precognition. Basically he can see what you are going to do before you do it, that being said he seems to be physically slow, he begins a counter-attack well before you being your actual attack. He also has a very strong magical aura around him which makes me think he only uses strength equal to that of his opponent.”

“What do you mean,”

“Watch,” Kaze said with a smile stepping forward, “Frozen Gods hear my plea, and your power grant to me-Ice-Ten Spears of ice,” Kaze chanted in sing song, five spears of ice forming over his head, and streaming forward in a straight trajectory. The strange man lifted his arm causing five bursts of fire to sprout forth cancelling each attack and creating a dull mist, just in time for five more spears to cut through the mist towards his target, once again five more flames burst force cancelling the attack.

“You see Zorlo didn’t make this guy to kill people entering; only to stop them. He wont attack; only counter attack. We need to think up a way to catch this guy off guard, other wise we wont really get anywhere, each of your attacks will be thrown away and my Magical bursts will be nullified every time. I don’t like that Zorlo kid much but one things for sure, he knows how to keep people out,”

“Well then how are we supposed to beat this guy,”

“He wont attack us so finding an opening in his defensive is the task at hand, chances are he wont leave any so well have to push him into a position where he has to leave an opening,”

“And how do you suggest that is done?”

“Simple is as Simple does.”

“What?”

“Keep attacking, Don’t stop until he is dead.”

Zachary scratched his head, a little bit confused. This whole concept of attacking until the thing stopped moving wasn't too foreign to him, but it was still a bit strange. After all, if all this thing did was counter attack, why not just walk past it? After all... well, it was standing in front of the door, so that made it a bit difficult. Still, the Sorcerer of Blades couldn't help but wonder what this thing was.

The ice mage threw the two swords he held in his hands and smiled as magical energy began to seep from his body. Suddenly, a second pair of blades appeared in his hands as he looked at the foe and began chanting.

"I have created hundreds of blades. Now these blades which are so plentiful shall bring about your demise. Arctic Blade Dance!"

With two suddenly flashes, two more sets of his blades were dancing through the air. A total of eight blades were now circling around each other and starting to move closer to the target. "Get him!" the Replicator called out as the blades launched off towards the target swiftly. Almost like bullets, the swords sped towards the target, but didn't quite reach it before beams of energy that shattered the magical blades when they struck the weapon were shooting them down.

Ice is my body and frost is my blood," Zachary whispered as another pair of Azul and Rosso appeared in his hands and quickly lengthened out. The blades became jagged and sharply edged. Quickly, the ice mage leapt into the air and swung the swords down with all of his might. Still, this was to no avail.

As the blades came down towards the creature, its fist shot out like a rocket, striking the mage knight in the chest and rocketing him backwards. Zachary's body slid on the ground as he continued to skid backwards until he stopped. The red haired man stood up as his blades shattered into dust and looked at this foe... "Hmm... that didn't work," the ice mage said as a gray flash erupted from his left hand.

"Well... I've got an idea. You attack this time, and I'll try to make contact," Zachary said as a green blade appeared in his right hand, the gray-blue bow having finished forming in his right hand. "I am my own sword," the Replicator whispered as the sword he held turned into an arrow and he mounted it upon his bow. "Dodge this, you bastard!"

"Fine put me in harm's way," Kaze grumbled, a small smile flashing on his lips. Like a rocket He burst forward running low to the ground. Getting close the beastie didn't even react until Kaze attempted an uppercut palm strike. Limber as a cat the beast bent his head backwards to dodge and countered with a kick to the Mages left side.

Blocking the strike swiftly The wind mage quickly retreated backward with a small jump. Trying to gain the upper hand and slow the thing down to give Zach time to aim he leaped into the air delivering a quick kick to the things left shoulder only to be caught in a vice like grip. Lifting kaze into the air by his leg with super human strength he failed to notice a flash, but he did notice the sharp almost surreal pain of having your arm cut off by a sword-turned-arrow.

The Wind mage landed on his head and quickly rolled away kicking the dismembered arm off of him, "Nice shot, you should do that more often," Kaze commented jumping to his feet, " I wouldn't have thought Broccoli head would make the guard so easy,"

"He didn't" Kaze replied pointing towards the Guard...thing...Where it's arm once was had become a mass of red blood like ooze, twisting and forming around itself. Slowly but surely taking shape. The red goop -as their is no better word to call such a monstrosity- had formed into an arm identical to the one now laying near Kaze's feat, color slowly flowing back into it.

"Regeneration, eh? And here I was thinking this was going to be easy,"

OoC: A little short but...meh.

"Hmm..." Zachary muttered as he watched the arm slowly reform. The Sorcerer of Blades chuckled as he looked at the creature and smiled. "I think... this thing wasn't just put here and left by Zorlo... this thing seems to be somewhat... of a test subject. Whatever this guardian may have been that Zorlo left here... this thing isn't just Zorlo's creation. Someone else has modified it."

The wind mage quirked his eye at the ice mage and crossed his arms as he floated backwards slightly. "So... if not Zorlo, then who?"

"I didn't say this wasn't left here by Zorlo... I'm saying that he wasn't the only person to have built this mage. Or maybe it was modified after Zorlo put it here, who knows. All I know is that this thing is exhibiting powers that I recall Monroe, the guy who fought the guy who wore all white, boasting he had created serums for. He must have tested them on this thing."

"Okay... but that doesn't explain everything."

"No, it doesn't. I should explain. Two serums were used on this thing," the Replicator stated with a chuckle. "The first was Monroe's Regeneration Serum, which increases healing speeds by isolating and increasing the rate of cell divisions in a damaged area. Still, the amount administered to this thing must be an earlier one, since the dosage seems high enough to allow it to rapidly recover."

"The second one," the sorcerer said as he looked at the creature, "is something that every good scientist works on. Monroe called it the Superman Serum. It causes a drastic increase in muscle strength, reaction time, enhances senses, and a bunch of other things I stopped paying attention to while Monroe was discussing them. Anyway, both of these serums seem like prototypes, probably administered in much higher dosages than are good for the host to cause rapid reactions. The second serum isn't complete or useful... it does have one minor flaw."

"Which is?"

"Continued or drawn out use causes the body to essentially decay. All we have to do is fight this thing until the regeneration serum wears out and it just dies. Sound like a plan?" Zachary asked, calling Azul and Rosso into his hands as he readied to strike.

“So basically we just pummel the hell out of this thing then?” Kaze said with a smirk, “Well if there is one thing I know how to do it’s that. Let’s go,” Kaze said vivaciously. Running forward he leaped into the air towards the beastie. Opening his arms wide he revealed a barrage of newly created ice arrows all streaming forward; a streak of frozen air following. The thing jumped and rolled to the right, a single arrow piercing through his leg. Smashing it to pieces left him open enough for Kaze to strafe around behind and deliver a powerful blast of lightning to the things back causing him to stumble forward. The thing turned quickly delivering a similar blast of lightning back at the sender. As he turned however Zach took the time to come from behind lopping of the bests arm from the shoulder, as Kaze dodge the attack. Fighting the thing one-on-one was foolish as it was to strong for that, together however they could win.

“It hurts…” The beast spoke in it’s slow drawling tone.

“Damn straight kiddo, now sit back and take your ass whooping like a man,” Kaze mocked, as the best turned to him, opening his mouth ungodly wide.

“No Like Pain!” The beast suddenly crouched over, seemingly in pain. It started to throb and shake and twitch a little. The two looked on slightly confused until small brown scales started to appear on his body. The scales covered his entire body even as his body grew to immense heights. By the time the rock like scales had covered him completely the pair finally knew what they where facing, or at least what it looked like. The beast was at least fifteen feet high, with a body now smiling made only of rocks, it had large stone and and a huge hammer that seemingly appeared from nowhere.

“What the hell man…It can turn into a Golem,” Kaze said as the beast roared, “Why can’t you do that,” Kaze said looking towards his bewildered team-mate.

"The same reason you can't change into a fairy: it just isn't natural. Anyway... we need to figure out how to deal with this first," Zachary commented as he rolled out of the way as the hammer hit the ground. The earth shook slightly as the golem looked at the two with a fierce glance, or what could be called a glance since the golem had no eyes, as it readied to strike again.

"Naturally, it's gonna try to crush us to death," the Replicator stated as he began to ponder. There had to be a way... there had to be a way... but... how could they erode earth. Actually... eroding rocks was a good idea, wasn't it? "I've got an idea," the red haired man said as he leapt up again, narrowly evading the rock as he watched Kaze dance around the hammer.

"We can easily erode this guy. After all, he's nothing more than rock, right? Well, we'll just use nature to wear him away!" the ice mage commented as he quickly began to create blades and throw them wildly. Spears, short swords, an occasional arrow and whatever Zachary could have blow up and freeze parts of the beast quickly flew.

In moments, one of the golem's arms found itself frozen in place. The Replicator leapt backwards and closed his eyes, forming up a plan. "Okay, Kaze, time for you to strike that thing down with whatever you've got!" Zachary called out, smiling. Hopefully, this would work.

“With whatever I got? Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Kaze Smirked, “This place. It’s empty, yet full.” It was as if all the energy of an entire planet below him, yet nothing was their. Like a blank canvas he could pain with whatever colours he wanted. Slamming his hands into the ground he used the random masses of energy and created something…lets say odd. Around the huge –and distracted- golem he created funnel. Ice shooting up around the beast in every direction going straight up but widening suddenly after it reached twenty feet giving the appearance, as I said before, of a giant ice funnel.

“Don’t ask,” Kaze commented standing up and lifting his hands into the air, “Trust me I am going somewhere with this. “We are the poets, and the dreamers. We are the architects and builders. Through hands a plenty we craft the world, and by the same we tear it down. Though not through love or hate doth these things come about. Only because we want to see the truth: Man or God, who is creator who is destroyer. For this and this alone we take arms against a sea of trouble, and by apposing end them. When we die, our dreams will tell the truth. Till then we the dreamers must carry on the work of lazy deities. Poena Tempestas: Let the Gods bear witness to Creation and Destruction.”

This was no simple wind that shook this false word. This was no simple rain that drenched it in heaven’s tears. Clouds from nothing were formed high above, the rain and wind pointed. You see this was no ordinary Hurricane: it was smaller, yet stronger. More confined yet more destructive. You see, this hurricane found itself localized above the funnel feeding rain and winds and pain to the golem. A beast of rock it may well be, but mother nature was a harsh mistress. And hell hath no wrath then that of a women scorned…now if this women is being controlled by a man then lord help those in it’s path.

Zachary crossed his arms and watched idly as Kaze unleashed the fury of his brand of magic. "I must say," the ice mage commented as he watched the creature get ripped apart violently, "I'd hate to be on a side opposed to yours when you're bothered," the Replicator commented with a smile as the creature was simply reduced to pebbles and powder.

It was oddly poetic. Something Zorlo had somehow created, or put there, being destroyed in such a way. Zachary couldn't help but think about the green haired man. Was he still watching them even now? Who knew. If he was, the Sorcerer of Blades pondered if the Aura Master was proud of him.

Z... I wonder what you've been doing? Or how, I suppose. I know you're dead, but I'm pretty sure death isn't a simple end. Especially not for you. Zachary sighed as he looked at Kaze and approached the door. "Let's get going. We've got planning to do. Shouldn't linger... I don't think Z would let us or anyone escape this easily," the red haired mage commented as he opened the door.

Much to Zach's chagrin, there was nothing on the other side. The sense of embarrassment sat with him for a second as he looked at Kaze. "Time to get to work. We need to find the right spot and start gathering people and supplies. Plus, I've already got an idea for two other people to help us."

"There is a lot of energy in this place, "Kaze said spinning around in a circle, arms out stretched, " It's beautiful. No wonder old broccoli head kept it hidden, that selfish bastard. Now that we have access," Kaze quickly clapped his hands together, "From one to other, like lines in the sand, bring them together, to this land," being called from the great unknown a purple mass of energy formed in front of the blond haired Mage, spinning clockwise. "This portal will make it easier to get here,"

"Where's the other end"

"My house in the city, still easier then walking," Kaze said with a shrug "So I suppose we should go recruiting then? I have good authority where to get some material to build a barrier here. After finding one of your friends I'll go speak with Roark and see what I can do. In the mean time I'll see if my underling, Tlacelel, and a few of my foot soldiers can build us a few buildings. I'll give them the designs. "

"Fair enough, we meet back here then."

The Grand Wizard slammed the door behind him. It had been a most annoying day and he was ready to slip into something more comfortable. Of course when you are speaking about a unfathomably powerful wizard one can't even hope to imagine what is comfortable to him. The large flowing robes suddenly shrunk to match the Wizards much smaller state -thought still around six feet-, the clothing wrapped around him into a loss fitting black business suite with a white tie, and dark gray undershirt. His once flowing white grey hair and beard diminished and transformed into slick black hair, and a small goatee. The wise and omnipotent look was replaced with smug self confidence.

"You look like a CEO of a ponzi scheme"A shadow replied from the Wizards desk.

"It suits me. It's better then that cliche form at least,"

"In a way it's exactly the same, " The shadow replied now behind the Wizard. "Are you not surprised?"

"I expected a lacky,"

"You where mistaken," The shadow whispered into the Wizards ear in a startling cold tone...even for a shadow, "Gabriel is running out of patience"

"We are still getting the crystal, it will take time," The wizard did not both to turn and face the shadow, it was almost as if he was used to be threatened by creatures of the night.

"You are taking to long," The creature nearly yelled, "We do not have time to wait for you Iscariot."

"You will have to,"

"It's lucky for you that you're such a willing pawn or I'd have gutted you by now," The creature nearly laughed, " You have twelve months."

"Is that all?"

Ignoring the remark the shadow stood straight up and spoke more casually, "Watch yourself. And watch that boy, he is not to be trusted."

"I have Kaze under control, "

"I don't think you do, I don't think you can."

"What is that supposed to mean!"

"Don't take it the wrong way but I don't think anyone can control him. Consider that your warning," With that the Shadow vanished, leaving no trace of his existence.
