How Sweet (Sakume)
OoC: Yay, fun! Sorry for shortness and all that jazz. : D
BiC: Trees, insects, flowers. The entire forest was vibrant with life. A squirrel darted across a pair of brown boots. A butterfly fluttered busily around fruit-scented dark brown hair. Many pairs of small eyes were trained on the demon strolling down a rough, weatherbeaten path. Yet there were much more pressing things plaguing Andrew's mind. Is the humidity too high? My gum is running out of flavor; do I even have another pack? Where will I even find more tropical goodness in a forest? Suddenly struck by paranoia, his chewing slowed and he began to pat his pant pockets furiously. With each pat, his face fell more and more. I should turn back. I can only last so long without gum, right? His mind was working in such a panic that he didn't notice the first two brightly colored packets he walked by. It wasn't until he spotted a vaguely familiar blue one that he stopped mid-step. “Ahh!” he yelled abruptly, falling to his knees before it, and sweeping it up in one motion. “Trident!” He was unsure for a moment, still moving his flavorless gum around his mouth. “But, it's 'original flavor'... who would ever want original flavor?” His eyes fell off the gum for a second, deliberating. Then he saw another. It was the same size, but a vivid green. “Watermelon twist?! Much better!” He got off his knees and bounded over to the rectangular package a few feet away. Once there he saw something a bit farther off. This time it was an indigo color. “Wild blueberry twist!” he all but shrieked. But, on his way to meet the heavenly gum, he found something even better, yellow now. And, so the process continued. Andrew ran past minty sweet taste, bubblegum, spearmint, and passionberry twist in this manner, collecting each one and stuffing it into his pockets eagerly. Then, at the end of the small trail, he found the gold at the end of the rainbow. An orange colored package. “TROPICAL TWIST!” He lunged at it, ripping it open and spitting his previous gum out to the side. With almost trembling fingers, he removed the small stick from its package. He carefully unwrapped it and placed the pale-orange piece into his mouth. The burst of flavor and the party his taste buds were currently having put a large smile on his face. “Ahhhh,” he finally exhaled, eyes slitted in contentment. It was then that he saw the house.

Re: How Sweet (Sakume)
She was captivated. Her eyes wide and mind focused on the candy dotting the ground, still wrapped, she continued to follow it, eating it as she went along the path. The best part was it was all candy she loved. She couldn’t find any yucky sour stuff or the ones you have to unwrap one at a time. She ripped off the top of a pixie stick and chugged the sweet powder down her throat. Kate was on a very intense sugar high by the time a house came into view.
It didn’t really look like a normal house, but it seemed familiar, as if she remembered it from a story. The bricks of smooth, spongy gingerbread were held together by a gooey chocolate sauce. The tiles on the ceiling were delicate patterns traced with a mix of chocolate and vanilla icing. She stared wide-eyed at the amazing sight, taste buds salivating at the thought of eating all the candy. The bushes behind her rustled and she turned around to see a man standing there, which alone made her stiffen and open her lips to let the pre-whimpers escape before the screams. Not to mention he was really tall, really muscled, and really mean-looking to her. “I’m sorry!” she burst into tears. “I didn’t know it was your candy! I didn’t mean to! Don’t hurt me!” |
