The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
OoC: Okay, I will start this battle off with my character Deadeye. (linkinsig) This is the story that wil lead to his new "Upgrade" or "change". Anyone, and as many that want to, may join. Everyone who does, have fun with it!!
[I also give permission for any to take MINOR control of Deadeye: i.e. conversation, reaction, etc. So long as you stick to his personality] BiC: After years of traveling, fighting, and protecting, Deadeye had finally gotten fed up with it. He was always in everyone elses shadow, paticularly his best friend Krayt, or "Hero" as he called himself. Deadeye had travelled: deserts, forests, cities, and even other planets, protecting and fighting for whomever he came across. His job as a hero was starting to seem thankless. He wiped the blood from his face, with his hand, and clenched his aching side. He had just gotten the crap beat out of him by a much stronger opponet. His outfit was ripped, his body was beaten, and his spirit, as well as his equipment, was broken. He dropped to his knees and clenched the grassy ground with his free hand. He had failed to defeat his opponet, or "opponets". All of the gang managed to do a number on him, but their boss was what caused Deadeye's current state. His strength and power was surpising! They escaped with the valuables he had sought to return to the unfortunate victims they had stolen from. That was not the worst part, while Deadeye was down and out, they slaughtered all of the innocents he was trying to help. Everyone they had stolen from was now dead, and he was now a "broken hero". He no longer had the will to go on, with one final gasp of air, he collapsed onto the cold afternoon ground... Sometime later... Deadeye awoke from a horrible nightmare and gasped for more air. To his surprise, he was in somebodys house. They must have found him laying out on the grassy savanna. The room was nicely decorated and seemed to have a very "homey" touch to it. The archer slowly stood up and noticed that he was wearing white pajamas! They even put bandages over his eyes! Apparently they mistook him for being blind, which he technically was....in his eyes at least. As he stood onto the plush carpeted floor, someones voice called to him. "I see you are up, that was quite a beating you took! You had better rest some more," Deadeye turned to see a rather older man talking to him. "Where...where am I?" Deadeye managed to mutter. He was feeling almost sedated. "You are in a hospital my friend. Someone who was wandering around managed to find you and bring you here. We almost thought you were dead!" The old man replied. Deadeye then noticed the wires on his arms, and the heart rate machine to his right. Over in the corner was his blood covered outfit, along with his broken weapons. Deadeye struggled to get up, but quickly fell back onto the bed. Perhaps he would rest.....just a little bit more... OoC: You dont have to tie in your character with Deadeye just yet, but if you want to, its your choice. Have fun everyone!! |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
OoC: hey there, i notice this thread is rather old, hope it's alright if i jump in. i notice you left his discoverer open, hope it's okay if i jump in that too lol, would kinda fit my char...
and forgive the short post ^^;; BiC: A slender figure stood in the opposite corner of the corridor, watching the exchange. It was a young woman, looking around nineteen, clad in a very worn black cloak and plain clothing, a vague distinction of chain mail beneath her shirt. A sword was tied to her left side, half hidden in the folds of her cloak. Long blood red hair cascaded down her shoulders like a bloodstain, tipped in silver. Two strands were golden in front to frame her face. Her left eye was a fiery molten gold shade, the other a glistening silver, both seeming to give off their own light. From the woman's presence, the room seemed to very softly carry the scent of fire, its hum almost crackling in the air. She stepped forward on silent feet, making no sound but the ruffle of cloth and the soft tinkling of silver rings round her ankle. Her eyes quickly scanned over the wounded archer as he stumbled back to the hospital cot. "Rest now," she said softly, her voice faintly musical. "He's right, you had quite a number taken on you. You will need time to recover. It's a miracle you're still here even now, who knows how long you would have lasted if I hadn't found you... Probably a stupid question, but how are you feeling?" she asked with a frown. |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
OOC: Seems fun...I'm butting in hope you don't mind
Character link is in mah sig.IC: "I hate hospitals," I said wandering through the currently vacant hallways, "they smell of dead and dying people "I looked around another corner to see another empty cavern of marble and concrete. I tugged at my Shihakusho to make it more comfortable and started to walk down the new hallway. "I still don't know why those idiots brought me here," I said scratching an extremely itchy and extremely long and deep looking gash on my left arm, "This will heal itself by tomorrow morning." As I turned another corner I saw and open door, and heard voice emanating from inside. 'Maybe these guys can tell me how the hell I'm supposed to get out of this damned place.' I thought to myself, as I walked in, only to see an extremely attractive women with long blood red hair. I blinked unprepared for such a sight and coughed to announce that I had entered the room without knocking. Didn't really matter since the door seemed to be missing anyway. |

OoC: okay so yeah this rp is kind of dead lol, but what the heck, ill respond anyway. *shrugs*
BiC: The woman's eyes flashed back over her shoulder and she straightened, looking over the stranger who had entered. "Who are you?" she asked in an almost quiet tone, and yet her voice still carried a certain amount of power, and a sound like music laced in the hum of flames. Before her question was answered, her eyes fell to the wound on his left arm, and she frowned. She approached him, reaching out as if to touch it, but hovering her fingertips over it before they reached the torn flesh. Her eyes narrowed thoughtfully. Then she lifted her gaze back into the man's face and awaited an answer. |

OOC: You never know when necromancy might actually work
![]() BIC: "I'm Azerik," I said somewhat disconcerted, "I was just trying to find my way out of this place...care to give a guy directions?" |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"Hm," she raised an eyebrow, looking again at the gash on his arm. "Are you sure you want to get out, master Azerik?" she said. "Tell you what, if you allow me to at least dress the gash if not heal it completely, I will show you the way out. I think I am going to leave now myself, I can take you. What say you?" She met his eyes with a soft smile, silver and golden eyes sparking with hidden fire.

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"I won't argue with you," I responded with a shrug, "although it will probably be healed by tomorrow morning. I won't bother explaining why."

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
The woman chuckled musically, gesturing for him to sit. "You needn't explain anything to me, I assure you," she told him, sounding amused.
She reached into a belt pouch at her waist and pulled out a small roll of linen. "Whether it heals by tomorrow or not, this will at least keep it clean until it closes," she said offhandedly, nodding her head to the gash so he would roll up the sleeve. As she began to roll the linen delicately but confidently, like she had done it all her life, she said without looking at his face, "I'm Iyasis, by the way." |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"It's a pleasure," I said absentmindedly. I was itching to get out of the hospital, the scents of the dead and dying clogging my sinuses like mucus. If someone were trying to sneak up and assassinate me, I'd make an easy target at the moment.

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"Alright," Iyasis said a few moments, straightening. The wound was neatly bound in linen and secured in place. "I will show you the way out," She gestured for him to follow and she walked for the door, still leaving no sound but a soft metallic tinkling of silver rings round her ankle.
She glanced at Azerik, how he seemed almost uneasy, restless. She looked away again, narrowing her eyes at the ground. If anyone could understand that restlessness around the ill and dying, it should be her... Yet it wasn't. A fact that had troubled the woman for centuries. "What brings you to the area anyway, master Azerik? If I may ask," she asked suddenly, trying to distract herself from her thoughts. |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"Traveling," I said as I inspected the bandage work, "my occupation requires me to travel a lot."
As soon as the words left my mouth, I regretted speaking them. It was somewhat tedious to explain my occupation to the living. It often conflicted with their religious beliefs, and some got very angry over this, so I preferred not to mention it. |

|
Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"Occupation?" she repeated curiously. Then she shrugged one shoulder, adding, "Eh, you have reasons for not mentioning it. I won't invade. "
They past an open room that nurses were running frantically in and out of; screams rang from inside the walls. Iya's nostrils flared at the heavy scent of blood. She shook her head quickly, as if shooing away a fly, and continued walking. "I hate hospitals," she mumbled under her breath. |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"I can't say I enjoy them either," I said, before realizing a normal person wouldn't have been able to hear the mumbled comment. I scratched the back of my head, trying to think of an excuse, but came up blank.
"How big is this place anyway," I said after a minute of silence, "I've never been to a hospital this large. There are way too many hallways here, and they aren't designed with ease of access in mind either." |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
Iyasis shook her head. "I know. Course from the little time I've spent here, I can gather these people aren't exactly adept at design. I've had to do all my work at the volcano outside of town with a bunch of huts and houses around it, not even a mile away." She sighed. "Humans..." she murmured. "But it hardly matters."
A few moments later the redhead led him down a wide staircase and then found the main hospital doors at the base of them. She quickly made for them, stopping when she reached the outside, where she took a deep inhale of the crisp air. She shook herself, like a cat shaking off mud. "Much better." she mused to no one in particular. |

Re: The Ending and Another Begining (Anyone)
"It is better," I said wrinkling my nose, "but the air in this city smells foul in itself."
I looked at her again, and recalled her comment of moments before. "I don't suppose you're a non-human," I said as casually as I could, "the pretense in which you use the word 'human' suggests that you aren't one." |

"Yes," I said rather bluntly, "I've seen humans with much stranger aspects than gold and silver eyes."

"I'd figured out as much," I said in exasperation," mind telling me what you are if you aren't human?"
