Re: Where there's Fire, there's These Two. [Cio E:]
OoC: Once again your lack of character links in your sig makes me sad. D: But, since I took forever, I guess we're even...
BiC:
Immediately he could feel the effects of Vyn's attack. His moments became sluggish and his wings would no longer lift him off the ground. He turned back, deciding offensive would be the only course of action left for him. But, as he turned to face his opponent, he saw the previous normal sized swords enlarge, closing in on his hands, penetrating his skin and forcing him to his knees in pain.
The pixie wanted to scream out in anguish, feeling the nerves in his hands being severed and hearing the bones cry in pain. Nevertheless, all he allowed himself to do was grit his teeth and sneer, “Oh, that's soo very painful.” As usual, the sarcasm dripped off his tongue, or perhaps it was blood from biting. Either way, Quintana pulled his hands back, feeling them numb chilled, almost quite literally. Though, perhaps it was literally.
Nothing seemed to be going his way. And, his sarcastic view of things never helped brighten it up. Yet, he braced himself, not prepared to lose in the least. His decision to prepare himself wavering ever so slightly. Of course, it quickly shifted to him just wanting to take this guy out, regardless of the beating he would get. Even if his hands felt worse as the time ticked by. How, at this very moment, he wished he could use his healing magic on himself. How, at this single instant, he wished he could deliver an all out punch without bringing more harm to himself than his enemy. Unfortunately at this moment and instant in time, neither was possible.
He looked at the elf, smiling as casually as he could manage. “Is that really all? Oh, I suppose I should show you how us pixies battle,” gripping his staff weakly, the fire burst from the center point, slowly seeping out. “that is, if you can stand the heat.” In a rapid release, a surge of flame shot out at the elf, it's pure heat evident with its shimmering blue color. The continuous fire went on for longer than the mage had ever managed.
Quintana dared not look into eye of the fire, for fear his attack was doing nothing. He dared not stop the heat for fear that he could not keep the staff up. He dared not speak for fear that his concentration would be broken and all would be for naught. For once, the pixie was still, taking this fight far more seriously than any he'd ever encountered before. He was completely unsure on why he'd been sucked in so far into the fire of this fight, but he liked it.
