A Rush of Air (Lazer Beams)

Bic:As Gloria walked down the darkened corridor of the massive airship she felt the soft vibrations of the motor as it struggled to keep the ship in the air. She had been wandering through the ship trying to find some decent food since when the flight attendant presented her the food, Gloria was appalled at what they had to destroy to create it and went off looking for a more economy friendly meal.

As the stark and empty hallways continued as she walked she soon found there was no kitchen on this odd ship.

“Eh…. I give up looking for some decent food! Time for some exploring!” Gloria gave a quick thumbs up to herself and skipped off to explore the huge cargo airship. The owners of the airship invited her and some other people to join them on the aircrafts first flight. Gloria, loving flying, couldn’t turn down their offer and jumped for joy at the concept.

She walked through the corridors and peered through every open door. Suddenly as she looked into a compartment she saw a sleeping man with a cigarette in his mouth.

“Oh my!” She exclaimed as she rushed over and put the cigarette out.

Her movements must have awoken the sleeping man since he arose with an angered look on his face. “What did you do that for!?!” The man yelled obviously meaning he still wanted that cigarette.

“Were you still using that?” Gloria asked. “My bad…. Ha ha ha! Sorry I thought it would burn you……” Gloria gave a pathetic smile and walked over to the now fully awake man.

“So who are you?” Gloria asked trying to make some conversation to compensate for the mistake she just made.

“The name’s Kashe…..” Kashe said pulling out another cigarette.

“Hey Kashe! I’m Gloria! Terribly sorry for doing that…..” She apologized.

Kashe shrugged and Gloria knew that she was on his bad side. She saw him pick up a bat and slip on some brass knuckles. An idea occurred to her.

“You know what would cheer you up Kashe? A good fight!” Gloria took his arm and dragged him to the fighting arena they had on the immense ship.

The way there they never spoke to each other. Kashe never refused to go, but you could tell he wasn’t too happy about it either.

Once they arrived Gloria pointed to a section of the arena. “Let’s fight there!” She said to Kashe and before he could object she flew over there. He couldn’t back down from this fight. Especially when his opponent was already ready to fight him.
