Daunting Affection (Andúrhil)
Snow flakes wafted through the pitch black sky, the stars hidden by the thick blanket of purplish winter clouds gave off none of their characteristic blue light. The heavy clumps of pure white fluff fell upon the evergreen trees which were illuminated by the near by electronic lamps posts, which were too collecting the essence of winter upon the globes of glass which housed the old fashion-like yellow bulbs that were installed specially for the Yuletide season and the six foot dark blue painted Victorian style posts.
The sounds of feet scuffing across the icy gravel paths which generously adorned the public park, was the only thing that detracted from the dreamland of winter. Yet it added to the harmonic scene somehow making it more lively and real. A couple warmly clad in synthetic furs, walked past the empty ice rink, and their cheery figures were reflected upon the hard white surface at which they stared at in wonder. The man ran his hand along the snow covered blue rail that ran around the perimeter of the ice pond, gathering up in his hand the slush which had collected upon the flat metal surface and in the curved ends. He turned to his love, a sly and playful smile ran across generously handsome face. The female laughed and told him no, letting a playful smile run across her face also as she backed up against the rail behind her were she too gathered up a ball of snow. A figure clad in white passed by them, making his foot steps noticeable so that he would not get caught up in the middle of the tryst. The couple dropped their snow balls as not to look foolish and joined glove laden hands together once again, leaving the man alone as he entered the area they had occupied. He looked around with eyes similar to glacial ice, keenly observing the scene. It had not changed since he had come here last winter, and neither had he. Walking slowly to a wooden bench near the railing of the ice rink, he sat down without hesitation letting his heavy steel toed black boots hit the ground and bounce up before settling with a thunk. The benches, used by parents watching their children skate, was imbued with a heating unit to keep it warm and to also make sure it stayed free of slush. The man placed his muscular arms on the back of the bench, letting them relax in the thin jacket to regain warmth. He drew in a heavy breath, making his toned chest push the Kevlar sectioned vest outward before sinking back down letting a trail of warm breath enter the air and leave a lingering stain. He rested he head back on the bench, allowing the shaggy blond hair to fall back and expose his thin eyebrows. Looking upside down he watched a squirrel slowly climb down from a tree and pick up a chestnut, tapping the creamy brown shell before peeling the light almost grey brown cap from the top and throwing it to the ground with it’s furry digits. Haden smiled, letting the facial gesture expand to cover his whole face. The skin around his this nose wrinkled slight to accent the prominence of his peeled back thin lips that revealed the almost ivory straight rows of teeth. The man had always enjoyed nature, it was probably something common to all of his race but he never accepted it. He always treasured it as something that was his, a connection to nature that many in this era of intense technology had lost. However his calm appreciation was disturbed by the soft crunch of gravel under a light foot, and he let his head rise slowly, an action which did not allow the snow which had been caught in his hair to fall down to the ground. He turned his head to face the direction the noise was coming from, expecting the see the previous couple once again and narrowed his icy blue eyes slightly.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
The warm indulgence of sitting out a snowfall whilst unfurling on a comfortable couch before a pleasant fire-place was not coaxing enough for this particular female. Such lethargic activity was for the lazy or the elderly, certainly not something a young woman of such qualities should be pursuing.
And what she pursuing? A stroll in the snow-clad park seemed a much preferable way of spending her days off from duty. After all, it's not every day that you get an extended leave of absence from the CIA. Pity that it happened to be in winter. Not that it mattered in any way, of course. Such a cheerful demeanour was never fazed by such trivial matters. She couldn't change the weather any more than she could change the fact that she was gorgeous. Oh, and she knew that. And the vinyl suit she wore beneath her tightly closed black trench coat did a poor job of concealing that fact. Yet she had an air of danger about her, she always did. Beneath her petite appearance and cute face, you knew there was a person you wished not to mess with. Her two semi-automatic pistols at her sides were a statement to that. Her titanium-edged katana on her back was another. Though off duty, the CIA wanted to protect their main asset, so they got her a no-holds-barred weapon license. How convenient. Her lips were curled in a contented smile as she made her way down the frozen gravel path, her blue eyes twinkling in the light of the surrounding light posts. The path arced in a wide bend which skimmed by the frozen lake, and sitting, or rather lying upon, a nearby bench, was a white-clad figure. On closer inspection with her hawk-like eyes, she saw a man with long blonde hair sprawled over the back of the bench, observing a lone squirrel which sought to savour its prized nurishment. The sight could only be described as amusing, and she couldn't resist a warm-hearted giggle. The man was apparently of trained senses, for he picked up her approaching footsteps and turned a pair of narrowed eyes in her direction. That expression, coupled with the coating of snow which had accumulated upon his hair, was even more amusing, and she was unable to prevent a fully audible laugh escape her lips, which was quite easily noticed by the man whom she was now but a few feet away.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
From around the gracious bend of the icy gravel path, a female figure emerged. With petite curves, a gentle face, and wavy orange blond hair, she was the epitome of perfection. A slim fitting black trench coat was pulled tightly around her, the light coating of white fluffy snow which adorned its collar, and shoulders, also continued in random points of concentration through her short hair.
Haden’s bright blue-white eyes softened as a generous smile spread across her beautiful mouth. The oculars widened a bit with embarrassment as the woman laughed, at him most likely. Smiling sheepishly, he ruffled his blond tresses with a wide hand to dispel the accumulated snow. His Reiishiken life sense alerted him to a difference in this woman, she was not a regular human. It was similar to the readings he got from cyber brains but without the artificiality. In her he saw traits similar to those in him, a distinct coldness. But Haden chose to ignore this, for this woman was not a direct threat, or a hit. She was just a gorgeous woman who happened to wander by and laugh at his peculiarity. Stepping up quickly, the Covert Operative brushed his white clothing off and rubbed his tanned palms on his calves. Reaching out to shake her hand, Blue smiled warmly to reveal his straight square white teeth with pointed canines. “Haden Blue,” he introduced himself. “So I take it that you like the winter scenery as much as I do?”

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
The woman offered a gloved hand in response to the gesture. It was grasped in a firm yet gentle grip, as if the man was afraid of damaging something delicate. Gazing straight into eyes whose color matched her own, she gave another alluring smile as she proceeded to introduce herself.
"Tanya. Tanya Smithson," she replied politely, placing her hands in her coat’s pockets. "And yes, the scenery is beautiful," she continued, casting her eyes at their snow-clad surroundings. "I'm glad you're not put off by the cold, for it really is a delightful season," she concluded, returning her piercing gaze upon the man’s face. "Oh no, not at all," the man replied, sounding somewhat lost in thought to the CIA operative. It gave her the impression that the man was lost in her eyes, prompting a contented smile. Casting her eyes downwards, Tanya proceeded to rub her arms about her waist, shuddering slightly as she attempted to warm herself up. "Well, better get moving if we're to stay warm. Care to join me for a stroll?" she inquired, an inviting expression residing in her eyes.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
Haden smiled, his tight face skin crinkling at the corners of his mouth, his long canines revealed to the glint of the artificial yellow lights that reflected from the heavy downy snow that lay like a thick blanket over the ground. His ice colored eyes sparked with amusement at this witty woman with fiery hair and cool eyes. Haden remembered her delicate yet strong hands, feeling the cat like power that rested underneath.
“Of course, I would adore to take a stroll through this lovely scenery with you,” The man replied, his deep voice melodious. “I just hope that your beauty does not detract me from enjoying it,” he added with a laugh, trying to be funny, a thing he was never good at.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
The woman gave a buoyant laugh as she responded to the obvious compliment, "Oh is that so? Well then, we wouldn't want that to happen would we?" Haden responded with a chuckle and their eyes met for the briefest of instances, before darting ahead along the gravel path once more.
The frozen trail creaked softly as two pairs of boots trudged confidently upon it, their owners lost in temporary silence as they indulged in the winter scenery. A soothing blanket of intricate snowflakes spread over the two government agents, who were at unawares of each other's affiliation. The spray of minute icicles swirled around them, brushing past Tanya's eyelashes and lodging into her hair. "Uncomfortable silence isn't it?" she mused, shifting her gaze back to her companion. "So..." she continued, pausing slightly as if trying to remember his name, so as not to appear out of the ordinary, "Haden, what does a man like you do for a living?"

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
Haden’s eyes sparkled happily, not only was the woman beautiful but she was humorous. But she presented an difficult question, how was he going to answer her. Surely he could not lie, it was not like him. Lying was something we was not taught to do, and thus was something he did poorly. Running his large hand through his blond locks, the tendrils of golden protein slipping through the grasp of his long thin digits like water to fall back into their previous position, he tried to formulate an answer.
He peered into the inky sky ahead. the stars standing out likes jewels on a black velvet background, luminous and the center of attention. There was no visible moon this night, but the Covert Operative knew that it’s light was merely being blocked from this section of the planet, and in a few days the celestial body would return to the heavens of this city. He settled for a twisting of truth to tell this enchanting creature, for a full out lie was unimaginable. “Well nothing spectacular,” he said casually, his voice ringing out through the silence that had earlier occupied their presence. “I work as a government clerk, nothing of any interest just paper work and the such.” He shifted his shoulders trying to get his jacket to settle properly and hopefully not expose the Kevlar armor he wore underneath, or the twin pistols and Kris stashed on the back of his belt. “And what of you fair madam? What occupies your time?”

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
The gorgeous spy combed her slender fingers through her glowing mane, dislodging the icy flakes which had accumulated upon the tangerine strands. Her piercing blue eyes were fixated upon Haden's, her trained ears catching his every syllable. Even though she was at ease in the man's presence, her wits were still about her.
What she had heard him say could not be considered a lie, but she could gather enough from his apparent hesitation to know that he was not being completely honest. This fact did not go so far as to make her suspicious in any way, but it was something she would keep note of. To her though, fabrication was as easy as breathing. "There you go with the flattery again," she replied in jest, before laughing heartily. "Well, I'm a computer programmer," she continued, her fingers mimicking typing. "I work for this up-and-coming software house. Pretty unexciting stuff really, but hey, it's a living." A computer programmer? What an understatement. If he only knew that I could hack into almost any security system with these here fingers, she thought to herself, chuckling inwardly. Somewhat distracted by her inner thinking, she stepped upon a patch of loose gravel. Her left foot slid off to the side, and finding herself unable to regain her balance, she toppled towards Haden.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
The radiant starlight poured down from the dark heavens graciously, it is unimaginable that such tiny pinpoints could be seen so far away from where they actually where, and that they where even still powerful enough to still light up the blue eyed beauty beside him. Haden dug his hands deep into the white pockets of his jacket, smooth hands slipping past the opening cleanly like a fiery brand into a rotting corpse, finding nothing to hold it and instead passing into the empty space inside. Attentively, cool glacial blue eyes watched expressions and gestures as she gave a short over view of her job. He watched her hand brush the white specks of frozen water from her radiant mane.
Her feet made a steady rythm of crunching on the icy gravel, a soft crunch with no after sound and one second later another. It was harmony; nature at it’s finest, like a deep maroon chardonnay, gods how a glass of chardonnay sounded good. Maybe this woman, Tanya, would go to dinner with him. The nice Italian restraunt he loved, the best wine he had ever tasted and butter spread to die for with their complementary breads. The angelic looking man then noticed an oddity; the woman’s perfect rhythm had broken. With a sharp turn, Haden looked to his side, fine blond hair a whirl of gold around his head. Tanya was falling, toward him. Reacting with instinct, Haden caught the heavenly woman tightly in his deeply muscled arms, almost like one cradles an infant. He stared down at her, his cold blue eyes to hers, close enough so that their noses almost touched. It was dead silent, and one could hear the pine needles fall softly from the trees, lofting to the ground slowly before meeting the snow with a slight crunch.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
Time seemed to slow down as the woman fell, a fleeting sense of vulnerability building up inside her as she prepared to brace herself for the unavoidable impact. The moment of collision, however, was far from what she expected. Instead of the cold, hard gravel of the ground, she found herself supported in a pair of soft yet sturdy arms. Despite the awkwardness of the situation, Tanya felt oddly comfortable in the man's arms, almost as if she enjoyed being held by them. She had almost drifted off into a sense of dreaminess, before she turned to look up. And what she saw startled her.
Her bright sapphire eyes were locked with Haden's icy blue ones which lay but a minuscule distance away from her own. She looked on with an almost stunned fascination as a gentle breeze sent his golden bangs into an intricate dance upon the dance-floor of his eyes. The sight was almost intoxicating, and she couldn't help blushing slightly as she bordered on getting lost in the deep blue seas that were his eyes. Sensing the vulnerability of her predicament, her face flared up in embarrassment as she attempted to retake her footing and stand up. Her movements, however, caused the holster of her gun to drive roughly into Haden's thigh. Her heart skipped a beat as she realised that her weapon might have been revealed, but she couldn't do anything besides hope that the man hadn't discovered she was armed.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
Haden smiled his thin pale lips pulling back ever so slightly to reveal his gleaming white teeth, the pointed incisors gently jutting a millimeter past the other teeth, his normally cold glacial eyes sparkled gently with affection. She was looking at him in a way no one else has ever, she felt so right in his arms, and her eyes were a perfect sapphire, her lips exquisite, tinged slightly blue with the cold. Her cheeks flushed with what he could assume was embarrassment, and he felt her try to get her feet. Then, a blunt object dug into his thigh, recognizably, in the shape of a gun. The Covert Operative frowned, and helped her stand.
He looked at her once more, his eyes catching hers, and a chill wind washed across his, tousling his hair, and playing with his cloths. Pain was evident on his features, he had never felt this way toward anyone, but now he had felt it for his assassin. Looking down, he pulled out his own guns, and dropped the shining pieces of metal into the snow. Haden then pulled out his Kris, twirling it once before sending it to quiver in the ground under him. “Just kill me and get it over with,” the man sighed. “I wish you had met me as it seemed, and not to kill me. But never less, I can go peacefully I guess. Not the end I was hoping for..”

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
Her cheeks stll scarlet with embarassment and slighr anxiety, the spy slowly rose to her feet with Haden's assistance. As she regained her balance, she swiveled gracefully abour her feet and turned to look at her saviour, an endearing grin on her petite features.
The eyes which greeted her sparkling ones, howeve, had lost all the warmth they had exhibited only mere moments ago. They now seemed cold and distant in all their pallid glory, pained even. Tanya frowned slightly at this sudden change of attitude, her eyes casting a questioning look. As Haden drew his guns and dropped them on the frozen ground, she couldn' help looking at him in almost grim fascination as she found herself unable to react. Her gaze followed the weapons as they fell through the air, and then she looked up at him, her previously cheerful eyes veiled behind a hurt and betrayed expression, for the trust she had placed in this man now felt misplaced. The metallic clang of the weapons, followed by the sharp ringing of the oscillating dagger as it dug into the ground brought her back to her senses. Haden's words, however, only served to weaken the frail semblance of awareness she had regained, for the man clearly assumed she was plotting to kill him, something which was not only completely false, but made her feel almost hurt at the accusation. Nevertheless, Haden's actions left her no choice but to reach inside her trenchcoat and retrieve her laser-sighted pistol, which she aimed straight at his chest. As if on cue with the ensuing drama, a chilly wind picked up, tossing the bottom of her trenchoat about and allowing furtive glimpses of her vinyl garments beneath. Gritting her teeth and trying to hide the pain in her eyes, she looked straight at him. "Who... who are you?"

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
OOC: I am so sorry that it took me so long to respond it this. If you do not wish to continue, I understand.
The red point hovered upon the white of the Kevlar vest at level with the man’s heart. A single tear froze upon his tanned skin, crystallizing into an intricate maze of frozen stars, glacial eyes boring into those of the woman across from him. The breath escaped his cracked lips as long plumes of steam, drifting skyward and back as the persistent yet hardly noticeable wind flowed past the two forms. The coat around the woman spy’s form teetered back and forth, a remnant of the action of drawing her gun, golden yellow tresses framing her beautiful face in an almost terrifying way. “You know very well who I am, I am sure that your employer would have warned you afore hand of who I am and what I am capable of,” Haden practically sighed, remorse heavily laden in his words. He looked down at his Kris buried in the earth not to far from him, had it been a mistake to disarm himself, and be at the total whim of this woman, who he expected to kill him? Was he in error, had the moment gotten the better of him? Haden was tired of this life, of killing people for a government that had kidnapped, and ruthlessly trained him. The light reflected into his eyes from the snow, and he once again lifted his head to look into the eyes of Tanya across from him. He frowned. “All I ask before you kill me, is that you tell me who you really are. For I wish to know the name of my angel of death, so that I may truly dream of her in the next life.”

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
OOC: Don't worry, of course we can continue it. It's not like I have anything better to do
![]() Her expression teetered on compassion as she saw the tear trickling down his cheek, his pained eyes almost cutting into her. Yet she maintained composure of herself, her own eyes still searching for answers, her teeth still gritted. The man's claim that she already knew everything about her alleged victim, as well as the mention of her employer caused her to narrow her eyes at him, uncertainty and frustration starting to build up inside her. As Haden lowered his gaze, thoughts started racing through Tanya's mind and her aim wavered slightly. Who was this man, and why did he presume that she should know who he is? The possibilities raked through her, almost overwhelming her thought process. He could be a wanted person... I don't remember seeing him in our files though... Maybe he was sent to kill me? But then... why would he dsarm himself? He could still have a weapon concealed on him though. Her internal questioning ground to a halt as Haden looked back up at her and frowned, and Tanya tightened her grip on her pistol, ready for anything. His last words, however, would come as a complete shock to her. At first, the blatant accusation that she had planned to kill him all along and had only toyed with him until now filled her with even more pain, and her gaze hardened for a moment. His last words however served to shatter her composure, and her gaze softened almost immediately, her eyes brimming with emotion. What he had just said sounded so beautiful to her ears, that it almost took her breath away, and she simply stared at him wide-eyed for several long moments, her mouth slightly agape. No man had ever spoken to her like that. She had recieved countless of compliments throughout her years, but she had never been called an angel, even if it was one of death. And the very notion that he would dream about her in death sent shivers of emotion down her spine. All her instincts, all her training screamed out at her to keep her gun pointed up at him, but her heart groaned in protest. Those icy-blue eyes, those sweet words, they could not conceal evil intent. The very notion seemed to be a sin against God. But his weapons and his lies dictated that she couldn't possibly trust him, the stakes were simply too high. Against her better judgement however, disregarding everything she had learned so far, she shakily lowered her weapon and looked into his eyes. "I... I don't want to kill you..."

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
Time seemed to slow in its trek through the eons, pausing to bring this moment into monumental detail, so that Haden could remember it for the rest of his life. Every color, texture, scent, and sound were amplified to crystalline clarity, their brilliance burning themselves into the very fibers of memory hidden deep within the human mind, so that when the lithe man closed his eyes in the future to come, this scene would play its self out upon his eyelids. These few moments would haunt the Reiishiken in the place between sleeping and waking until some undefined point in the man’s future. Where his past would eventually become a gauzy haze and his mind would no longer be able to condense the ephemeral mist into something solid, or perhaps an even stronger memory would replace it.
The slight nip of the wind against his flesh was like the gentle nibble of a canine-friend who was trying to gain your attention, curt yet affectionate. The soft lofting fall of the snow was mesmerizing, white specks floating aimlessly, wild and haphazard. As the brilliant specks touched down upon the lightly tanned skin of the man, they melted with a brief cold that was as electric and mercurial as the first furtive embrace of younger lover’s lips. The blinding white which already blanketed the ground, lay awash in the soft yellow of the incandescents that emanated from the old fashion midnight blue posts positioned at even intervals of 15 feet along the park walkways. To the right, the mellow pinpoints of white in the endless sea of raven, the oh so distance heavens, reflected upon the glassy surface of the frozen skating pond. The ring of railing decorated with trailing swaths of newly fallen snow, dim in comparison to that which had hardened slightly upon the ground, which was filled with the soft yellow luminance this time of year provided. The dark winding way of the gravel path disappeared into the many shadows of a dense bunch of trees clothed with their own coats of frozen flakes, the ice/slush which lay upon the tiny pebbles glaring in the usually soft yellow light. The woman across from his seemed to glow in that light, fiery tresses seemed to absorb the light, making it its own. Her pale skin was nearly as pale as the snow, soft and unmarred. Small nose hidden in the shadow of her locks, keen light blue eyes peering from under a thin brow and lush lashes, they had twinkled almost madly in a light of their own, not the softness of filaments and electrons, but of pure emotion. Fiercely beautiful, petite frame wrapped snuggly in the black of the trench coat, and her lips seemed to move in nearly slow motion, as the arm holding the gun that pointed previously to his heart, dropped. Her lips looked so beautiful on that cold night, a tinge of pink creeping into the plump not quite bowed flesh. Her eyes caught his, lit clearly with that light of its own. “I... I don't want to kill you..”, her melodic voice had almost whispered. He met her gaze, a multitude of emotion bursting into his soul. Glacial eyes brimming with the hot liquid of feelings, trickling to freeze upon his cheeks. This beautiful woman, who had been sent to kill him, did not want to. His life had been spared, and that faint spark of romance, a concept so foreign to the man, might be able to be kindled into full blaze. “Thank you, dear lady. I hoped so fervently that you wouldn’t kill me. Upon meeting you, I had hoped so much more,” He bowed to her at the waist, hands clasped in front of his face, blond hair falling forward to veil his handsome face. From this position, he spoke again. “I had hoped to ask you to dinner. This beautiful Italian place near the edge of the city, with a view of the ocean. But by not killing me, I believe that you are going to be in increasing trouble, and that you need to go into hiding.” He rose, muscles rippling under his thin cloths and Kevlar vest, hair falling to either side of his face, a look of extreme worry plastered upon this thin lips. “But I can hid you from whoever employed you. I work for the government on a nearby planet, you can be safe there.”

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
Her heart seemed to skip a beat as the tears slowly trickled down Haden's cheeks. With every passing moment, she became ever more assured that this man posed no threat to her, even though her instincts continued to relentlessly protest that she knew nothing about him.
Then followed his comments of endearment, sending her heart soaring to new levels of emotional excitement, only to tumble once more with the accusation that she had planned to kill him along, forcing her to wince. But even so, his tone was incredibly forgiving. But then followed the low bow which silenced the voice of her instincts for good and forced a shade of pink to stealthily start flowing into her cheeks. His bangs framed those beautiful blue eyes perfectly, and infatuation had already begun to take over her. The man's subsequent proposal caught her completely off-guard. She had never really dated before, her job took up most of her time and left little room for a personal life. Add to that the fact that she was mostly a loner, used to get things done on her own, and it's easy to see how new this felt new to her. "Haden, I..." She paused for a moment, smiling at him. "I was never sent to kill you. The only reason I held you at gun-point was because you were armed. And I don't need to hide... If you can just tell me who you are and verify that you have no malicious intent..." she blushed softly before continuing, "...then that Italian place sounds perfect." Looking into his eyes, she smiled warmly.

Re: Daunting Affection (One female charater)
“Haden, I…” Tanya paused in mid-sentence, her bright smile spreading over her lips, like when the man had first seen her. “I was never sent to kill you. The only reason that I held you at gun-point was because you were armed. And I don’t need to hide… If you can just tell me who you are and verify that you have no malicious intent… then that Italian place sounds perfect.” A light pink spread through the woman’s near alabaster skin around her cheeks, as she uttered the first part of her last sentence, then catching his gaze.
The pure sincerity in the CIA agent’s voice indicated to Haden, along with his limited health sense that she was not lying. It was then that he realized how foolish he had been, what stupid mistakes that he had made in this whole incident. How stupid must he looked right now, with the iced trails that ran down his cheeks, his accusations still hanging in the air, yet above all of this, Tanya had forgiven him, had seen past such actions, and had accepted his invitation to dinner, however poorly presented it had been. His nimble hand ran quickly across his face, wiping away the evidence of his tears, his hands rough against the softer skin of his face, leaving a blotchy red trail where he had touched. He cleared this throat quickly, shaking his wheaten locks as if he was shaking off something latched to his head. He smiled again quickly, almost insecurely. “I am so sorry Tanya, I am so sorry that I misjudged you. It is basic protocol to be suspicious,” he muttered, his deep voice husky still with emotion. Looking downward at his feet, feeling deeply ashamed of the deeply rooted paranoia that had been instilled in him by the countless hours of invasive training he had endured. “I was telling the truth of my name, it is Haden Blue, formerly Hirken. But of my occupation, I was lying. I am a Covert Agent for the government of Arcana, a planet in the next solar system,” he paused, extracting the small metal badge stating that he was an agent of the Investigative Agency of Arcana, in the center, was a small microchip, and if scanned, would tell the same information, his name and status of Active Agent for the IAA. “I live my winters on this planet, as it actually snows here. Taking my missions by phone, as of right now, I am awaiting new orders.” His training told him right now to kill this woman; she knows too much, he is endangering the whole government by revealing himself. His guns were not very far away, and the heavy slugs would probably blow the woman’s head off. With this thought, he walked toward Tanya. Yet instead of grabbing his weapons, he held out the shiny metal badge, allowing her to take it. His decision was made, screw protocol, and everything else.
