OoC: Ahem... I am currently working on my post, but I thought I should declare this publically just for some hype.
I hereby announce that this thread has a themesong! There are no legally downloadable tracks for this song, but a link to a page that has a fair-quality recording should suffice. In addition, you will get to see an amusing Zelda flash cartoon. Just let it load (you have to click the "Play in current window" option first), click play, minimize the screen, and let the creativity flow into your words.

Personally, I think the track is very appropriate. "And here we are. We're the Princes of the Universe. Here we belong, fighting for survival.
We've come to be the rulers of your world!"
BiC: A bolt of excitement rippled through Blitz’ mind, giving him a sort of high. He simply could not wait to deal the first blow! Putting on an ecstatic grin, he pounded the ground once with his legs and hurtled toward Nicoli at full throttle. What he did not expect however, was for the boy’s raised sword to reflect the sun’s brilliant rays directly into his eyes. He was not certain that the act was intentional, but it would be best not to attack dead-on. After closing half of the gap between himself and the other human, he thrust himself into the air, sailing over Nicoli’s astonished head, mantle trailing gracefully behind him in the air. He landed and whipped around in one seamless motion, thrusting his sword at the opponent. To Blitz’ pleasant surprise, however, the boy thrust his sword over the back of his head, and the Supernova was deflected harmlessly off of the blade.
Heh… this is fun!
Nicoli whirled around and dealt a furious horizontal slash in Blitz’ direction, but the Supernova was already waiting in a vertical guard. In the instant that his opponent’s sword became stationary, Blitz took in the sight with interest. The boy’s weapon was a half-foot longer than the Supernova, and Nicoli was four inches taller than himself; though the latter fact was more difficult to discern, considering both combatants were in a slight crouching stance. The untrained eye would say that there was a distinct size disadvantage; however, the Wielder of the Sword would say, “Bring it on.” As a matter of fact, he did.
The younger swordsman replied with an amused grunt and a series of forceful vertical and horizontal slashes, all of which Blitz blocked without effort. “How disappointing,” he said with a grin, still blocking the unrelenting yet predictable barrage from Nicoli. “I was hoping that a swordsman more youthful than myself would prove a worthy opponent. I sincerely hope that you haven’t begun to fight yet.” Blitz could tell that his grin was beginning to grate on Nicoli’s nerves, and he hoped that maintaining it would cause a spark in the younger boy. After all, he had come here for an enjoyable fight.
“Hah!” Blitz shouted, delivering a well-placed thrust at the opponent. Yet again, Nicoli surprised him by twisting himself and guarding with a handy-looking shoulder brace. Sparks emerged as metal grated against metal, but the Wielder of the Sword could tell that the Supernova had left its mark on the metallic surface.
Too bad for him those braces aren’t runic, he thought, still filled with that all-pervasive high.
SHING!
Too close! Nicoli had reacted much faster than Blitz had seen him move thus far. Following the guard with his brace, he thrust his elegant sword at the older swordsman with startling speed. Blitz had barely managed to jolt his body to the right in time to avoid the blow.
So he was
holding back. Good! Seeing this display of skill from the enemy, he decided that he did not need to restrain himself. It was time to go nuts.
Leaping away from the fray, Blitz held one hand out to the side and summoned up a nearby patch of fire element. Without hesitation, Blitz forced all of the energy from his body and into his closed fist, letting it coalesce between his fingers with a warm sensation that calmed him slightly. Flames wreathed from his hand, extending and weaving together until it had lengthened to approximately four and a half feet. Now the flames calmed their dancing and became almost solid.
“I hope you’re faster than you’ve let on, kid,” Blitz taunted gleefully, crossing the blades in front of him with a stylish appeal. “This flaming sword has no weight, and is almost literally an extension of myself. You’ll have to do better than this to defeat me!” With that, the Wielder of the Sword plunged back into the fray with all blades a-swinging.
OoC: Hmm... Not my best (definitely not my longest) post in the BA. Still, it passes the ol' SL inspection.
