Dorugamon was hardly a killer, and he wasn't too keen in doing something that the DLF would approve of. However, he simply wouldn't let her kill (or attempt to at any rate) Shiki either. Now that he had her attention, he hoped he could hopefully wrap things up before something came to investigate, if there wasn't something already coming their way. It would be just their luck too.

"Drop your weapon." It wasn't a request.

Shiki may not think much of it, but Dorugamon wasn't about to take any more chances. He hoped his new, more intimidating size would encourage her to comply. If not, he would be forced to get a little rough.

While one hand held her poleaxe, the other held her side, which was starting to really hurt. Alexandra felt a wave of relief when the huge Dorumon did not continue to attack. So she wouldn't have to fight in this condition.

She'd only just stood up, hunched over slightly, when the monster's same small voice spoke, "Drop your weapon."

From his tone, Alex knew he was serious. But looking over at Taiga, she also knew that the moment the girl recovered from her blows, she'd be right back at it.

The pain in her side convinced her to drop it, and it clattered to the ground, clanking off a rock.

With bated breath, she winced, "Jus' keep... Taiga... from hurtin' or... insulting me... and Ah'm done."

Truth be told, the fight had been knocked out of her quite forcefully.

Dorugamon couldn't keep her from insulting Alex, but he could keep her from attacking easily enough. Shiki wasn't the type of person to continue a fight after her point was made; she got bored easily enough.

"Everybody gets insulted," Dorugamon said, leaving out that if she liked you well enough, you didn't get a single insult thrown your way unless you were being exceptionally stupid. "But as long as don't do anything more, she won't fight you now that the point is made. Right, Shiki?"

He looked over to Shiki who was looking at him in shock and awe.

"You Digivovled! How did you Digivolve?" He gave her a smile as she tried to get up, and when she began to stagger, ran over to support her as her arms draped around his neck. It felt slightly weird to him for so much skin to be against his fur; she was normally so much better clothed then this.

"I thought your life was in danger," Dorugamon replied gently. "And I dunno, I guess D-arc or no D-arc, nothing can break our bond."

He paused and shook his head a bit. His head was smarting as if he had a headache.

Shiki frowned a bit, feeling slightly guilty upon noticing his behavior.

Well, if he can Digivolve without the D-arc, that must mean our empathic link to each other is also still in effect.

As long as I don't do anything more? She started it!

The chieftess slumped against the tree and sat down, still holding her side. She decided it would be better to nurse the pain and stay there until Taiga Shiki and Dorumon decided what to do now. She was done challenging the girl, at least for the time being.

"Ow..." she muttered.

Edgar heard a loud commotion a little ways off. He followed the yelling until he saw a woman, a girl, and a dinosaur standing around together. There was a tingle of giddiness and awe boiling up inside him once he spotted the dinosaur. What good old fashioned science-loving boy didn't grow up with a fascination with dinosaurs? It was strange though, he never imagined they could have purple coloring. Perhaps he was native to a floral area? If that were the case it would prove that Darwin fellow knew his stuff.

The women still remained a curious element though. Man never coexisted with dinosaurs, but then again the doctor had no reason to believe he was still on his Earth. Perhaps this was a parallel world and history developed differently here. This hypothesis didn't explain the women's appearances, however. The styles and materials of their clothing were vastly different. The young girl's outfit looked to be made out of a synthetic material - something the doctor saw a lot of on one of his trips to the future. The older woman's clothing was made from leather and natural fibers. It placed them in two different histories, and the dinosaur made three.

Edgar frowned. Perhaps they were time travelers like he was? He felt a little put out by how non special this made him, but maybe they would be able to help him out of his predicament if they were. The argument seemed to quiet down and rather than let the chance slip away he sucked in a deep breathe and walked out of the brush line towards them. He waved his hand above his head a few times before pulling his coat back a bit and sticking both hands in his pant pockets. The coat kept the guns hidden, but this put his hands in a prime location to grab them should events turn sour. "Good evening gentle-madams!" He smiled at them and eyed the dinosaur up and down as he got closer. Was that fur? And wings? How did he not notice such things before? Perhaps they were vestigial organs as they were too small to support a body of his size ... Curious!

"Good evening gentle-madams!" Dorugamon flinched a bit as a new voice entered the fray. Turning slightly, he saw an older human male about the same age as Shiki's parents approaching them, his hand in his pockets. Tilting his head a bit, he studied the man who seemed to be studying him back.

He, like Alex, was wearing some odd clothing he never saw on a human before. If he was a human. Dorugamon thought he was, but with his raging headache, he couldn't be 100 percent positive. He glanced at Shiki who had a look of disbelief on her face. He really didn't want his Tamer to start yet another fight when they just finished one.

"Hello," Dorugamon said slowly, cautiously before Shiki could open her mouth and no doubt insult the man.

Just because he didn't want a fight didn't mean he shouldn't be prepared for one.

Edgar's eyes widened as the dinosaur spoke and it took him a moment before the shock wore off. "Marvelous!" he announced with excitement as he walked up to the dinosaur. "I'm sorry to exclude you from my greeting, gentle - uh - dinosaur." He smiled and looked the animal up and down. It was a scientific wonder! A time traveling talking purple dinosaur with fur and wings, no one back home would believe this tale!

Khalrai watched as the two human females engaged in a squabble, and the strange creature transform into something massive. Then, an odd-looking man came out from behind the hill. He didn't look at all like he belonged in the forest.

Humans both fascinated and confused her. So she took the form of a 20-something year old girl who stood about six feet tall, wore a leather jerkin with brown pants, boots, and had her silver hair curled and framing her face, and began to approach the group cautiously.

Shiki just stared at this old guy, quite unsure what to make of him. He gave her an eerie feeling of Aaron-except older. She wasn't quite sure why. It could be the fact he wasn't screaming at the sight of Dorugamon or his British accent (although Aaron was American-close enough really). She opened her mouth and closed it again, unsure how to address the situation. Another way he reminded her of Aaron-she never quite knew what to make of him.

Finally, she managed to speak.

"Who the ♥♥♥♥ are you?"

Edgar looked over at the girl with a slight frown. He was not used to such language even among the members of gentlemen clubs. It was not his place to criticize, however, so he smiled again in good humor.

He removed his hat and placed his free arm over his stomach as he gave a small bow of respect. "Ah yes, forgive me!" He straightened back up and placed his hat back on top his head. "My name is Dr. Edgar Newman Watkins. I was just traveling through here when I heard a commotion and, uh, I mean no disrespect when I say you seem as out of place here as I do." He looked back to the dinosaur and then to the woman sitting beside the tree. The closer inspection helped validate his theory and assured him he was on the right path.

Edgar Newman Watkins was even odder-looking than Taiga and her pet, if that was possible. His clothing was outlandishly foreign in style and make, and his mannerisms and accent all pointed to a distinguished person from distant lands.

Though the pain was beginning to subside, Alexandra didn't feel like introducing herself unless the man came over and specifically talked to her, and remained sitting propped up against the tree, one leg bent and the other out. That tail smack was going to leave one big bruise later today.

Stupid beast, covering Taiga's slack when she can't take it. She'll get what's coming to her.

Since she was not close enough to size Edgar up, she stared off passively into the woods, where what could only be an elf began walking through the brush, straight for them. Still a ways off, the elf had on boots, pants, and a jerkin, with long silver hair. The body structure and hairstyle, plus the color, all alluded to a female. She appeared to be devoid of any large weapons, but Alex still perked up and watched her closely as she approached.

This is becoming a meeting-place for strange people.

Once again, Shiki was quite unsure how to respond. There was an odd sense of relief that this man realized that something wasn't quite right. Even if he did look like he belonged in a previous century or something. It was almost as if he had stepped out of a previous century like some time traveler.

She snorted a bit at the thought. Aaron's stupid movies and dorky attitude were starting to rub off on her. Time traveler. Yeah right. That ♥♥♥♥ was impossible. She may not know a lot about technology like Aaron did, but that much was obvious even to her.

"Yeah, well-" Shiki simply shrugged. "No human belongs here."

She wouldn't know how right she was but for all the wrong reasons.

Khalrai continued to approach the group, and became aware that one of them had spotted her: the one she assumed to be a hunter. She found it fitting that she'd be the first to notice her presence.

"Quite a strange day I've had so far," she said once she was within earshot. "I can only surmise that none of you are from here either?"

The pain was now at a bearable level, and Alexandra stood up, grabbing her poleaxe and slinging it over her back again, making sure to check if Dorumon was watching or not. She walked a few careful steps, noting that moving around still hurt.

Answering the elf, she replied, "'Fraid not. We've all had a strange day, I reckon."

Edgar whipped his around to look at the newcomer.

"Strange day?" he repeated in a quizzical tone. "Then none of you traveled here on purpose? Oh dear ..." his hopes of getting an easy return to his timeline were dashed.

"No. Ah woke up in the forest, feeling like ah'd fallen a few feet. I found Taiga lying jes' a bit farther away," she directed towards Edgar. "You don dress like anyone Ah've ever seen beh-fore. How'd you get here?"

As she spoke, Alex made sure to keep an eye on both Edgar for conversation, and the elf. Preparing to use Intuition on them both, she focused on her thoughts while waiting for Edgar's response.

Edgar Wat Kins? Ummm. . . good. Definitely good. He's trying to figure out something, but what?

I'm not getting anything else. Now the elf.

So it's not an elf? But it's not trying to deceive us for our harm... No evil intent, then, only caution. Alright.

Taiga snorted a bit. She knew where she was. Not so solid on what had happened to her clothes, nor what the deal was with the influx of humans (and their LARPer get up), but she had a solid grasp on her location.

"Where we are is the Digital World," Shiki informed them, figuring that if she was going to babysit a bunch of LARPers anyway she might as well let them know to stop their role playing for a moment to understand the danger they were currently in. Maybe then they wouldn't take a page from Alex's book and run around like stupid ♥♥♥♥tards. "Monsters called Digimon live here; Dorugamon is one such creature. Now, currently most Digimon want to skewer humans on a stick for a variety of jacked up reasons. So, while I don't know how ya'll got here, but if you would be so kind not to go running around like a bunch of jackasses, that'd be great."

Rai gave a groan as his head span. That ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, what the ♥♥♥♥ was his problem? Spitting out some dirt as he carefully sat up, he was surprised how dark it was through his protective eye guard.

Wha-what?

It was an undignified and unintelligent thought Rai will forget he ever had later down the line, but right now he was hurting all over and confused. He should be allotted at least one unintelligent thought.

Looking around,he could make some shapes out through the guard, but nothing too discrete. He frowned a bit. This was definitely odd. Raising his band a bit as he cracked open an eye, he prepared for to be blinded only to be meet with foliage. Blinking again, he pushed it up further and looked around.

It was a forest of some kind, but not one he had ever seen. His legs shaking like a new deer as he stood up, he looked around cautiously before he did the one thing most Nebians never did; he looked up.

Oh ♥♥♥♥.

Edgar scowled as he looked at the girl. It was not meant to be a negative reaction, but rather he was trying to consider her theory. It was obvious she knew what she was talking about - let it be from actual experience or childhood imagination - but it seemed improbable that such an event would develop in natural history. The only explanation then was this was a man made event. For whatever reason man made these sentient dinosaurs and for some other reason these dinosaurs sought to rebel. Perhaps this world was nothing more than a large scale example of Dr. Moreau's experiment?

"What year is it?" The doctor asked in a thoughtful manner.

Of all the things which Shiki was expecting a response of, this was not one of them. She had expected a denial of a freak out. She had expected a challenge and a "how do you know?" She had expected a lot of things, none of which were positive.

She was flabbergasted.

However, her state of shock didn't last long and her patented smirk (which can almost be considered a sneer) crossed her face. It was probably some LARPer way of coping. Well, she had no problem bursting that bubble.

"20xx" she replied, and even though there was no insults in this reply, there was a condescending air to it.

Rai took several deep breaths. OK, so the sun was further away from him then normal. No need to panic. First things first, figure out exactly where here was. It certainly wasn't Ciar, that was for sure. He had heard of a land below Ciar, but that was simply an old tale. He hadn't given it any credit, but it seems that it was a story which lead some credit.

Too bad it doesn't tell much about this land in it.

Edgar's pursed his lips and shook his head as he stared past the girl into nothing. "No, no it isn't." He pulled his right hand out of his pocket and began bouncing it up and down as if he were counting. "Yeah, no, I can prove it isn't."

The doctor spun himself around to face the way he entered. He took several steps towards the brush line before turning his head to make sure people were paying attention. Once he was satisfied he walked out of sight ... only to reappear seconds later on the opposite side of the clearing.

"I just left then, did I?" he asked in a cheerful tone. He studied everyone's faces and was delighted to see their collective surprise; it meant he arrived just in time.

"Wha-a-a?" the girl had a hard time pushing out the word. It was clear she didn't know how to react to his little magic trick, which was a good thing in a way. At least no one would try to challenge his time traveling claim by saying he merely teleported.

Edgar smiled and removed his hat as he walked back to the spot he had been standing in a few seconds earlier. "I am sorry for the surprise, but I had to test my theory out. We aren't in the time you claim we are in because my time machine is reading the year 378AD. I knew something was wrong with your theory because I was going backwards in time when I got knocked out place, and I was in the year 1998 before then."

The doctor crossed his arms against his chest and sighed. "I am sorry madame, but we just cannot be where you claim we are. This also means there aren't these sentient dinosaurs walking around for us to worry about. What we should be worried about instead, however, I haven't the faintest idea."

After a couple minutes of silence the girl found her voice to speak for the rest of the group. "What the ♥♥♥♥ was that?" she screamed, which caused Edgar's heart to jump. He wasn't quite prepared for such a vocal reaction.

"Uh, what do you mean?" he replied.

"That!" she pointed to the bushes where he stepped out from the second time. "You walked out and walked back in all the way over there! And what's this machine you're referring to? You - you can't honestly be telling us you're a - a -"

"A time traveler?" the good doctor frowned. This meant they weren't just in the same predicament he was in, they were in deeper. "Oh dear, I thought by your different clothing and appearances you were - oh dear."

The girl looked confused and destroyed. She obviously did not know what to make of the situation which made Edgar feel terrible for trying his experiment. He began to bounce his hands around again in an attempt to get the right words moving.

"I didn't mean to surprise you like that. My machine - something happened and I got bumped into space, but the time traveling mechanism still works. I left here and went back to it, and traveled back in time just enough so I could walk out as soon as I left. It was a test to make sure my machine was still reading time correctly - it took me 23 minutes and 14 seconds to walk there, so I went back 24 minutes and 2 seconds to account for the additional walking around. It worked, and my machine worked, which means -" he sighed "we've gone down the rabbit hole and all of us are lost."
