Re: Pirate haven (anyone, please join!) OoC: I sent you a P.M. about Great Oceans, and you changed the name.
BiC: Stepping through the Veil of time was no small feat. So many equations and variables to think about, and then the cold hard action of doing it was nauseating. And this is the time you chose to break down on a pirate ship..... I thought disdainfully to myself as I sat back in the cell. My contact from the underworld said this ride was to somewhere important, and he was probably right. My plan was to go below deck and stay hidden, but some one had the deck runed against such magic, so I landed face first on the deck, scaring the bejeebees out of some of the pirates. And, somehow, these witless pirates had a mage, that drew a thunderbolt and shorted my circuits.
After a time, the sound of cannons firing woke me out of half-sleep (for that is as far as I can get without shutting all systems down). I listened for a few moments, and heard the barbaric war-crys of the pirates as they boarded the ship, and heard some of them coming back, landing heavier, so they had hostages. Some pirates ran past my cell, women and children screaming in their arms. Above, I heard a few murmurs. ".............interesting............ doesn't matter............. in with the other........." I had to assume the other meant me, but I could have been wrong.
I was right, as it happened. They threw a sleeping, more than likely drugged cat-creature into my cell. I dug around in my knapsack for a de-tox drug and the piece of rubber I kept in here. I also dug out smelling salts, just to hurry up the awakening. I put the de-tox drug in his mouth, he swallowed, I waved a bottle of the smelling salt under his nose, and he woke. "Howdy, friend. I reckon them pirates up d'ere don't like ye to much." I said, taking on a western accent. |
