Secrets of the Under-dark (Aishumisu)

Tarok

Tarok had gone through a tunnel, and it turned steeply down. He felt Ake following, so he wasn't at all scared. This was a weird tunnel. It even felt like they were underground.

Akecheta

This didn't feel right. They were underground. I don't like this Tarok. He said with his mind. Neither do I. Came the reply. Then they both stopped dead in their tracks. They heard the sound of fighting. It was a few yards away. Ake came up next to Tarok, and with a unspoken command, he got on. He took off, the wind seeming to part before him. What they saw startled them both. A dark-cloaked man fighting a shadow man. Tarok jumped off and went to go help the shadow, with Ake not far behind.

He had walked through a forest for almost the whole day; it wasn’t the act of walking that tired him, but the monotonicity of the forest with all the lined up trees. That’s why when Saruu saw that tunnel he didn’t think twice before entering it. However what he found at the end of the tunnel wasn’t what he was expecting, hooded man appearing from somewhere Saruu couldn’t see ran on his direction and drew a sword. The man’s intentions were clear, he wanted to kill Saruu.

“Maybe he wants to kill me for my appearance.” He thought with himself, well he couldn’t do anything if that was the case, so he decided to do what he does best: run away.

The ghostly wolf turned back to where he came from just to see two other figures were with him too, a young man and huge wolf. The young man didn’t call much of Saruu’s attention but when he looked at the wolf he was mesmerized on how pretty it was, definitely one rare beast that any hunter would give everything to kill. Saruu got lost in his thoughts, when the hooded man slashed his back; he looked back surprised making a creepy ghostly sound; the hooded man however, wasn’t scared of Saruu, not even a bit, and seemed to not notice the young man and the huge black wolf that just appeared.

Saruu looked at the young man, who was running on his direction now, hoping to get some help. He said:

“Dear young one, please help me, Saruu doesn’t know who this man is or what it wants with the poor Saruu, but please, help me.” The hooded man sword slashed Saruu’s back again.

Tarok

He didn't have to tell him twice. I changed my dagger into a longsword and blocked the mans next hit. I twirled, cutting his stomach. Ake went behind him and dug his teeth into his shoulder.

Akecheta

The mans shoulder seemingly.... dissolved in his bite. The rest of him followed suite. I looked at Tarok.... him as shocked as I was.

Tarok

"Hello, sir. My name is Tarok. And yours?" I said, as Ake came up next to me, as his cover was totally blown.

OoC: Since you seem to prefer a light-rp, I'll try to do some light-rp too

Saruu noticed how the young man and the black wolf helped him without judging the situation as anyone would. They preferred to attack the hooded man, probably a human, over him, a shadowy figure, a monster.

Bakemono...

"I'm known as Saruu, but people call me by many names, most of them aren't pretty words. So I prefer to be called Saruu." The shadow looked and the young man and the black wolf waiting them to be surprised with the fact that he could speak like a human, but they didn't get scared with his appearance, so that wouldn't surprise them.

Tarok

"Well Saruu, what are you doing down here?"

Akecheta
I sniffed the shadow man. I expected to smell nothing, but he smelt like little kids! Tarok, this thing is dangerous. Tarok seemed to not notice, still waiting for the things answer. I know, Ake. I am on my guard.

OoC: yeah, I like to do light RP's. I can't think of anything else to say.

"I don't know myself, I just got tired of the music of the forest, so I decided to see what lied the other side of this tunnel. What about you two? What brings you here?"

Tarok
"I don't really know. Ake felt a need to come here. Like an instinct."

Akecheta
This was not a good idea. I didn't like this man.

"So somehow you and your wolf can talk with each other... Interesting..." replied Saruu looking at Akecheta, he wasn't just a wolf, he was something more, maybe Saruu should follow them to find out what exactly that giant black wolf was.

Tarok
Well Ake, where do we go now? This man was very curious, and I had no doubt that he would follow us.

Akecheta
We should head deeper into the tunnel. I did not know why, but it was embedded into my mind, just like my hunting instinct. Tarok and myself felt the evil in this place, and I felt like I was the one that was supposed to destroy it.

"So... If the two of you are planning to go deeper into this tunnel would you mind if Saruu follow you? Saruu would feel more secure near you two. What do you say?"

Tarok
"Well, I think Ake would like it if you stayed in front of us the whole time. He doesn't seem to like you very much." I rubbed Ake behind the ears.
Akecheta
You got that right. I said to myself. This thing had no evil intent as I could sense, but it had secrets. I did not delve to deep in his mind, but what I saw would have made Tarok go whiter then usual. I did not share the images with him yet. Tell him that he cannot go behind us. Tell him I'm a little paranoid.
Tarok
"He doesn't want you to go behind us. He says he's more than a little paranoid. You may join us. As long as you have no malicious intent, I have no problem with it."

Malicious intent... Hehehe every single action Saruu does is malicious, but oh well they'll probably find out later, thought Saruu looking at Akecheta.

"Well, if you want Saruu to go in front of you, Saruu will do that," said Saruu as he started moving. "But tell me, how strong is your wolf's telepathic ability? Could he by any chance touch my mind?"

Akecheta
Tell the backstabber to go to the eternal flames of the mavolian forge! I said, hearing his thoughts. I told Tarok what he had said.
Tarok
"Well, Ake says yes, and his words not mine, Tell the backstabber to go to the eternal flames of the mavolian forge! He never lies. He doesn't feel comfortable with you being close to us."

The black wolf can read minds... That'll definitely be a problem, however they haven't attacked Saruu yet, why?, thought Saruu, but suddenly he remembered that the black wolf could be reading his mind right now. He looked at the wolf and said:

"Saruu has nothing against you two, Saruu will go in front of you, but Saruu doesn't want the black wolf spying on his head, I know you'll probably continue to spy on me, but Saruu would like to hear your word."

Akecheta
If I give you my word, I cannot go back on it. I shall not, will not stop spying on you. I am concerned about Tarok. I said to the creature finnaly.

Saruu looked directly to the huge black wolf and said: "Saruu won't attack you, and if Saruu does, Saruu knows he'll definitely get killed. Saruu doesn't know if his word is worthy, but you have Saruu' word. Saruu won't attack you."

like, is there any limits to his ability to read minds?
