To everyone with whom I have a thread:

I will attempt to scrounge up some time and creative energy to write posts for all of you within the coming few days (Flue, I just posted in your thread). Since finals week is approaching, the school load is building up. Plus, I'm still somewhat in recovery mode from being shaken by one of the professors here going on a shooting rampage on Saturday. Rest assured, though, that posts will be coming, albeit slowly.

Nobody really knows for sure yet.

Here's the full story so far.

I read about him. It's your professor?!

No, he's a marketing professor, and I'm an English major.

But one of the men who was killed was the husband of one of my English professors. She is one of the sweetest ladies in the world and did not deserve this at all. :/

That's sad..
Must be hard for the profesor to face class afterwards, I guess...
Did you know whom the professor was? (that other guy, not your prof)

I didn't know him personally, no.

And my professor (I had her in a past semester, not this one) has canceled her classes for the rest of the week. I have a friend in one of the professor's classes, so that's how I know that. At least this week is the last official week of classes before finals week.

The SATs? They're easy, if you know what you're doing. ^_^ (I took them last year in 7th grade. 6 hours sitting in the same. Freaking. Spot.) You can bring food from what I know of it. Good luck.

In order to lighten the mood now, I'm linking you all to a video I helped make for a group project in my writing for the web class. My partner did the voice-over in this, so the voice you will hear is not mine. She flubs some of the words in here, but some of these segments were done really late last night. She told me today that she wasn't about to go back and re-do a whole segment just to fix a word or two. There's a little description of it under the video. It should be pretty straightforward to most everyone here. Enjoy! ^_^

I'm not very good at taking tests especially when they are timed. All the stuff I learned goes poof to be replaced by whiteness and panic. I did well enough on my first one. I got a scholarship, but I was just under the next level up, ten points actually. My mom is determined that I will make the next level, and I am not exactly apposed to the idea either.

I got a low score on mine since I don't know half the math or science on the test, but the English and History are pretty darn easy. I hate timed tests as well. Too little time to think.

Fun video. Quite informal, but perhaps a bit to generic?
Anyway, the part about power playing still puzzles me. How much are one "allowed" to power play?
The video proved examples of: Killing your character, or making the character start a drunken rage.
But where is things considered power play?

<.< there isn't any history or science on the SAT. It is Math, writing, grammar, and critical thinking. (I think... I have a killer headache and can't think quite straight)
