The Amphitheatre Meetup - Concept and Brainstorm

You know all those meetups we have in the community forum for Zu? Well, I thought we could have one specifically for the ampitheatre.

What? No clapping? C'mon! It would be fun! Anyway, this is just an idea, an idea we must flesh out. So, let's do just that.

Anyway, this will be brainstorming for things we could during the meetup, places we could meetup, how long the meetup will last, sleeping arrangments, etc.

Oh, and this is also for nominations. Mainly for places we could meetup.

Anyway, first nomination: Rapid City, SD.

Oh, and mods, I just thought that since he had this new OoC forum and all, anyone could post OoC threads in it. If not, please inform me, and then close this thread.

Why would we meet in Nowhereville USA? That's just silly. Pick someplace like NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles ... places people from all over the world would be likely to get to in the first place.

Because some of us are twelve and can't afford a plane ticket and have overprotective parents.

Besides, it's just a suggestion. Suggest something else if you want, I don't care.

Orlando. Pick a week over the summer and spend a vacation there. Go to Universal Studios or something. Check into a hotel. Go to this upside down museum thing.

Hmmm the problem with a BA only meet up is that the BAers are scattered all over the world, meaning almost no one will show up no matter where you have it.

No, it's not insulting. It's truthful. Meetings with people from online, even if arranged in an open forum like this, can be slightly sketchy. Meeting with a kid, while not dangerous in itself, raises questions about the kid's safety when it comes right down to it, and should therefore not be sought.

(Although if such a thing were truly desired, then the parents would most definitely HAVE to be very much involved.)

Meh, more than likely, I'll only be arranging the meetup, not being able to go to it due to the overprotective parents thing.

Exactly. We have people from Canada, most parts of the U.S, and even someone from Trinidad and Tobego (lookin' at you, 'Saney =P) Not to mention alot of us (RE: Me) don't have the funds / Understanding Parents / Time / Transportation to get to said meet up. =X (I fill all of the above. ;_; Yeah, sucks to be poor Ciro)

However, that doesn't mean you can't try, just don't hold your breath. (You're twelve and trying to organize this!? Now I'm really starting to wonder...)

Z lives in NY, which is still pretty far from everyone. And I don't even live in NY city, I live an hour north of it. @_@

Yeah... that's what makes this hard, which is sad. Although... given some time, I'm sure we can figure something out. ^_^

Don't take it as an insult, I'm sure you can plan it. I missed the part where you siad you would never be able to go, so that settles that, but my other points still remain vaild.

Andurhil lives in Cyprus. I think he wins the award for being the most unable to ever get to any sort of BA meet-up.

No, I think Shot IS Greek, but I think he lives in Texas somewhere, if I'm not mistaken. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
