I earn enough to live relatively comfortably. And I'm at the bottom end of my salary scale (as I only started last year), so that will incease over time. For instance, I was able to buy my new TV last week, one of those 42" HD things, which is fabulous. Oh, and a new android phone, though technically the phone was free with the contract.

But at the end of the day, I really enjoy my job, and to me that's more important than how much I get paid for doing it.

Well that's nice. That's what everyone really should want. A job they enjoy doing as well as having skills in the field.

I'm looking forward to seeing this one too. I liked the Borrowers movie I saw as a kid (haven't watched it since then, though), and recently I've been enjoying Miyazaki's stuff, so it should be awesome. I'm going to skip right to the English dub, though. I've been satisfied with them so far.

I've seen the Norwegian dub of The Secret World of Arrietty ("Arriettas hemmelige verden"). Not too bad, and the voice of Magnus Nielsen is always a blessing.

And yeah, I saw the Nostalgia Critic's review of Ponyo as well. "HAAAAAAAM!"

Ponyo is a cute film. I liked it. ^^

This year is gonna do a number on my wallet. Mass Effect 3, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, The Last Guardian, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Bioshock Infinite.

And all this after I get another speeding ticket and hafta pay 500 dollars for my lawyer.

And of course, all this after I decide to buy my own gaming computer AND pay for all my books and classes (which I was subsequently forced to drop after getting my speeding ticket).

Went to the movies. Saw Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, then see Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance in 3D.


Sherlock Homes was fantastic. I loved all the actors, characters, and the story. And the cinematography was amazing. Just wonderful.


Ghost Rider was weird. Much, much darker and grittier than the first. It didn't do a very good job of telling the story, and they didn't bother to explain who people were or what was going on until later into the movie. And the characters were blah. And avoidance of the obvious solution was painful (come on Johnny, just whip all of them with your chain at once and be done with it). And other nonsensical stuff (you can take several giant missiles head on later in the film, but a pair of RPGs take you out in the beginning?)

Worth seeing on tv, or in the cheap theater, but definitely not worth the full price ticket I paid.

Sherlock Holmes though... I'd pay out the wazoo to see that masterpiece again.

Dude, I saw Sherlock when it came out. Twice.

The second one? I never saw you mention it.

Yar I saw it once when it came out and once with my hubbins over winter break. I thought I did a little review here too, but maybe that was somewhere else? I know I told somebody about it. Maybe just over AIM.

But yeah dude, Sherlock Holmes + Robert Downey Jr. = how can you NOT expect me to see it right away? It's a given!
