Blastoise is fine, and Sceptile is okay too. But I don't really like the rest you mentioned. Come to think of it, the only starters I particularly like are Charmander, Charmeleon & Charizard. The others are all just meh or flat-out bad.

I think Druddigon is hideous. Flygon and his eye-lenses/protectors/goggles are cool.

While yes he looks bad, at least he looks draconic.

Veran: A master of illusions. Could ♥♥♥♥ with Loo-eece's mind something awful, which could be a funny predicament. That said, he's one of my more serious characters so I'm not sure how well he'd look next to a character like Loo-eece. But hey, that might just make it even funnier.

Maren: My mute, ridiculously lucky sweetheart character. She's naïve and curious, so it'd be interesting to see what happens when she meets someone like Loo-eece.

Baltazar: A drunk, gunslinging hobo who rides around on a huge-ass bear. As of yet he's my only "comedy-character", until I get to the point where I make my flaming skeleton character.

This is going to be a tough choice. They're all awesome! I would love to see Loo-eece's reaction to an illusion. He'd love a mute character to talk to. That hobo has the best mount ever! Which one are you leaning towards the most? Thank you for showing interest!

I never said that! D: You understand. You must. I'll always remember you as the first person I RPed with in the BA, and you need to know that. Yes, it is something special, and it still is. Just, think about the OCs. They need more social interactions. Loo-eece and Phantasmo need to continue down the road of foe-ship, yes. However, Loo-eece has a future to plan for. We just need to keep moving forward. Please. For the OCs.

Well, I probably ought to use Veran more, but I'm already planning an upcoming scenario for him. So I think I'm leaning towards Baltazar and Maren the most.

Out of those two, I think Baltazar would be the one most appropriate to stand next to a character like Loo-eece. So hey, meet my hobo!

I got less nominations than I usually get but I think that's a good thing. Other people deserve to win more. ^^

You're like any movie based on War or that has the tagline "Based on a true story". You're going to get a few nominations no matter what.
