Out of Character Thread (Help thread)

A 2,000 character limit isn't that much. (At first, I thought it was a 2000 words lmit, and even that didn't seem too bad for me.)

250 words on bio is not too much in my book. Espesially since personalities are included in that. I would suggest a new point to be personality, instead of it being included in the bio.

I think it's a good strategy to have strickt, crystal-clear rules if the place has had many bad characters before.

Exactly. And now they think that is over the top. Let me quote a couple things they said:

Honestly....250 WORDS!! THAT'S HALF AN ESSAY THERE!! And if we have a picture, you can use your eyes and look at it. If you can't see, THE DESCRIPTION ISNT GONNA DO MUCH GOOD EITHER IS IT?! I don't give a rat's ass if it was approved by head-admin. You should've consulted the rest of us first.

I agree with everyone that these are *bleep*ed up rules.. what the hell were you going through?

I absolutely will not follow this rule, nor will anyone else from what I have read. This is a fricken roleplay site, people come here on their spare time. They don't come here to type up ridiculously long profiles for their characters just so they can even use the person. This rule is by far too much and I say you can shove it down you know where.

Those rules are fu**ed up.

But yeah. No one likes them because they now have to put effort into a character. And now they are still attacking even though those perfectly decent and easy to follow rules will now not take effect. I also told them that they would never make it many Role-play sites.

And from the opinion from another one, I know these aren't bad. But atleast I can come here to see good, original characters.

You should find yourself a better roleplay site.

If they can't even write 250 words worth of biography...

From what I can see from those quotes, that rpg site isn't that nice to begin with in matter of members. >_> Show 'em links to some of the BA characters. That'll shut 'em up.

I don't see what the big problem with those rules are. I find that making a char is half the fun. Sorry for saying so, but following the quotes you posted, I shudder to think of how the rpging is at that site. Meh.

Wow, that site seems to have attracted some... unsavory personalities. Besides, if they don't think a written description can give you an adequate mental image of something, then they must still be perusing the picture book section at the Barnes and Noble.

Yeah. I would have shown them though they decided to condemn me and throw rocks at me then see it my way. They say people come here in their spare time. I find it a waste of spare time and I told them they are all capable of making good characters. They denied it and said the rule was ridiculous and that they were way overboard. I find it amazingly pathetic, but who am I to judge? *rolls eyes*

Well, maybe if I did show them, but then again I could probably get banned because I persisted that they should try some effort.

If they don't appreciate the effort you're making to improve the level of RP in your forum, then come play with folks that appreciate extra effort.

As Lioness knows, I am making a series of characters. A total of 8. 3 of the 8 have been approved. I made the fouth one, Lumis, on the 16th of Feburary. It is now March 9th. My question is: Was my character denyed?

Dude, some mods have soimething commonly known as "A Life Outside ZU". It took me two days to get tamriff approved, also. Be patient.

I would like to announce that Drago is under current construction. You probably don't care, but its to help people that want to battle me know that I'm working on a new and improved version of Drago. Except my battle with The Elemental shall resume as normal.

I have a question. No where have I seen team battles like 2v2. Are they aloud?

I forgot to ask this in my last post, if team battles are allowed then could I use two of my characters against two characters of another member?

And how exactly do you win battles if neither character can die?

Hi people. If I'm correct, this is my first time in this thread. Well, I'm here for help. Lately, I've been having trouble writing. Like writers block, only not to such an extent. I have plenty ideas, I just can't get them to jump off the page, you know what I mean?

Does anyone know a good way to improve on detailing? Oh my god, I'm not even sure if detailing is a real word >.>
