Was actually referring to the entire sum of BA characters based upon Zelda, here. It's always nice to see characters from another series.

Crystal, participation generally means having your character changed in some significant way. If you're okay with that, then we could talk about it, but these tattoos make changes to the characters themselves that the characters couldn't really ignore.

By and large, the characters that would be given these tattoos will not be evil... it's just that it involves Omentus, so there will be a natural element of the sinister involved.

Tattoos? Hmm...intriguing.

So. I've been thinking about my main character (in my head) and how I'd like to introduce him to the BA, and I came up with an interesting idea. After getting him approved, I'd create an RP storyline which would result in the introduction of my character. :3

I came up with a rough concept of the plot, I think it'd be fun. :3 I wonder if anyone'd be interested....though the characters used would have to be somewhat appropriate for the RP and it'd have to be people I can trust to actually finish an RP (or at least get to the point where my character can be introduced) so that he could be used from then on. : )

Stryder, you ignored me or something earlier, so I'll try saying this again. I haven't RP'd with you yet and you seem like a good RPer, so if you ever want to do one with me, I'm open and willing. :]

When I'm ready to bring him in, I'll announce it in the OOC and see what interest I can get then, because it won't be for a little while (I'd like to make some progress in my current RPs first, if possible) so keep an eye out!!

That sounds like interest.

So... a wizard Omentus to hunt someone down and make some changes to them that will improve their performance in combat. He does the job, but after he's done, he gets curious about the extent of the jeweled tattoo he just made. He doesn't know everything it does, so he decides to find candidates for whom these tats would work and be tested by best.

He wants to recreate some of the circumstances of the original job, so that no one comes knocking on his door demanding that the things be taken away, and that's how it gets started.

These things are gemstones surrounded by an emanation of tattooed sigils in the flesh, which become more sparse as they radiate outward. The form of the sigils changes from one tattoo to the next, depending on exactly what it is designed to enhance. The color of the gem is also different from one tat to the next, but their effects all have some things in common.

When activated, a tattoo... well, it creates an ability-enhancing aura around its user. The aura usually looks dramatic, but only has a few different effects. It has some powers that can be learned, but using any power while a tat is active costs energy from the tattoo itself. Any tat, when active, consumes energy at a constant rate, and will have a maximum run time of anywhere from 5 seconds to 400 seconds. Shorter run times indicate more powerful effects, but the average is not ~200, but ~80 seconds long.

Individual tats may have multiple auras that can be activated with them, but none of them start with more than one of these available to their owner, and a person might or might not ever learn how to use anything but the basic aura of the tattoo.

The color of the gem, number of facets on the gem, the color of the sigils, and the shape of the sigils can all be used as indications for the abilities of a particular jeweled tattoo.

Oh, that is interesting. The trouble with using Niko in such a thing is that pesky "time and space" thing, where he's from a "near future" time period, whereas alchemist type things tend to not be...

...Obviously, that doesn't stop the BA, but for attempts at continuous stories, it is troublesome.

Omen has a fix for that. He doesn't do it very often, but he has no troubles with doing it for the purposes of this experiment. My problem with Niko is that those nanobots would never allow that tat to stick around.
