Plot: Lily and Saveli(or whoever) go to enter their rooms in the dome for the night, but are knocked out upon entering. When they awaken they find themselves in the Port Side City-State of Silverwyn. What more they are accused of killing an influential Noble, and are told by the Lord-Commander of the City Watch that they are not allowed to leave the city until the Noble's death is solved. The Two must work together in the strange city to find the Noble's Killer, and maybe undercover a secret plot threatening to tear the city apart! Make sure to read all Supplementary information.
Looks: Silverwyn is a large port city and is self-controlled. It is set in a medieval fantasy level of technology (No electronics). Around the city is a large curtain wall, and has only two gates from which someone could leave or enter. It is set on three hills. The largest is in the northwest and holds a large castle, which is home to the King (See Below for Character profiles). The Entrance to the Castle Courtyards is blocked by a curtain wall and gate. Only Guards, and Invited people may enter. Other than the kings family there are three other large Noble houses that are spread throughout the city.
The City itself is structured in a way to stuff as many people inside as possible. The Building walls are high (Three to four stories, which is large by medieval standards) and the streets are narrow making it something of a maze. The Buildings all are adorned with slanted roofs, and red shingles giving it a unique look when looking down at it from above.
The People: the people come from near and far. They are from all over the world and include as many fantasy races as you can shake a fist at. Most people are friendly but reserved and wont even look at someone unless they speak first. Though many races live in the city the primary race is human with their numbers over 400,000 while the other races combined are only about 30,000.
Major Industries: The major source of income for the city is its fishery, which runs off of its coast. not only that but not far outside the town is a salt mine(Salt is very valuable for preserving food) and thus they have no shortage of money. The City market is one of the most famous in the world and contains delicacies from across the world.
City Watch: The City is watched by a group of Seven Thousand Soldiers. They Act as the Cities Police force, and defensive force encase of attack. Anyone can apply to be a Watch Member, but as of recently their numbers have been dwindling and crime has become rampant. You'll find most watch members atop the red roofed buildings with bow in hand.
There are Six ranks a watch member can achieve. Lord-Commander: The Ruler of the entire watch. All major cases are differed to him. Commander: Second to the Lord-Commander. Seven of these exist and control groups of a thousand men each. Captain: These men are numerous, and each has a hundred men in their command. Squad leader: A Squad consists of ten to fifteen men, and this man has power over them. Recruit: most basic Watcher and most numerous. When someone becomes a Watch member their is their rank. These men are the most suspects for corruption. Finally there is the King Watch: A Hundred Elite Soldiers whose duty is to watch the King and his family inside the castle.
Other then that each of the other three noble houses has their own guard separate from the City Watch. The numbers of these men vary, and their loyalties are put into question. Most are hired from local mercenary companies.
Noble Houses: There are four Noble houses that will be discussed below. A Noble house is a family that owns land outside the city. They live in various Mansions across the city. Who they are, and what they own will all be discussed in the NPC section.
Places of Interest:
Port Side: Southeast side of the city is where the ships make port. It is a dangerous area at best with vagabonds from all around the world drinking their fill in the many pubs that lines the port, or, if they feel so bold, taking their pleasure in the State-Sponsored brothels. Though ragged, and a bit disgusting to the naked eye it holds a wealth of information in the form of rumors, and lately rumors have been building.
Dirt town: Named for what you would expect. The Poor side of town where...well...poor people live. Some people here sell their bodies, other sell their swords. Many Are bandits, and a gang of thieves and murderers are rumored to live here. Not a place one would want to go without a blade in hand.
RedSide: The large Castle that towers over the city. It is home to the king, his queens, his family, his servants, the King's Watch, and various advisers. For all the danger of parts of the city, some think this is the most dangerous part. In Dirt Town you will be killed by someone you don't know, in RedSide your brother’ll stab you in the back.
Grey Manor: Home to the Noble House Lelia. It is the largest of the Noble mansions and is located near the western wall and is heavily guarded by personal guards.
White Manor: The White Manor is smaller then all the other noble houses, and in fact is only slightly larger then some houses owned by non-nobles. It belongs to the noble house Jaita, and they have money to buy a build a larger mansion, but have declined to. Unlike the other houses they are protected directly by the City Watch instead of their own men.

I Only ask you read these eons to make sure your NPC does not go against common sense (Giving a daughter to a person who is said to have no children).]
How This Is Going To Work
Your job is to Work together to find out who killed Jeat. But Puck, You may say, we don’t know who killed Jeat. Of Course you don’t, but I do. Basically I am going to break this thing up into Three Acts, the First act involves your characters running around the city trying to figure out how it works (Remember, while you may know everything I just told you. Your characters don’t) the Second will involve you delving deeper and starting to figure out what is going on. I will provide the information in my posts for you to do this. And the final act, which will involve more, fighting, realizing the extent of what is going on and finally a decision. This Assignment is going to test your ability to work out complicated plot lines, and how you react to handling characters you did not create. Trust me it will.
Posting order will go as follows. ZeldaZ will go first. Then Ranstone, then whoever else wishes to join. Each person posts twice, then I make a post controlling Aegon: That method goes on until it ends. Between my posts I will watch and critique your posts, not on grammar but on your usage and understanding of the created world. These critiques will be sent by PM.
ZeldaZ, you can create the thread. Simply call it [Puck] Joint Assignment.
Any questions about the assignment can be asked here, or Pm’d. I do expect questions.
I don't know what currency Puck has in mind, but if it helps at all, Lily uses gold as currency, since she's a Fire Emblem fan character. The race thing should be no problem for her since she essentially is a human (although a special kind of human called beorc, which really bears no difference in appearance to regular humans besides the odd hair colors they tend to have).
Still, she is a mage and is very skilled with magic. Do the people of this city know of magic used for combat at all?
EDIT: Also, now that I'm looking at Saveli's profile, Lily would be afraid of him. :/
This assignment is going to have little to no connection to Saveli's current training yes?
Correct. it takes place sometime during his training but it doesn't matter when.
Should Saveli's appearance cause a reaction from the people(since his race kind of gone self imposed exile from everyone else).? Or will that be ZZ's decision?
Not a reaction. Some people may look at him oddly but they are used to all kinds of creatures.
What is the currency? Gold coins and such? What are the exchange rate from copper to silver to gold?(oh damn, Saveli is penniless )
Their are gold silver and bronzed coins (Reffered to as Golden Dragons, Silver Wolves, and Copper pennies). A Gold Dragon is worth about a thousand Wolves.
Are there any sorts of laws(besides things like no walking around naked... oh wait.. Saveli is a nudist )?
basic laws guess. Stealing, killing, stuff like that. Gambling is not against the law, neither is prostitution. Assault is, but only if it can be proven. Think the basics.
What is the history of Silverwyn? ZZ only got a little of that, but any other interesting points in it?
What is interesting? Well the Family that built it "The Regars" were once a royal house from the country of Amitria across the Dead Sea(Where they are situated on). Amitria went to war with the country to Sylvilia which is close to Silverwyn. The Regars landed where Silverwyn is now, but it was just a fishing village. They took control of the village and used it at a base of operations and used it as a hopping point to get to Sylvilia. (Did I mention Silverwyn was on an island?). After Amitria lost it's conquest the Regar fleet got hit with a storm and their fleet was destroyed at the Silverwyn shore. They Built up the city from there, and it grew over time as it was situated near many populous countries. It has always been a Monarchy.
About three hundred years after being established the Stallis Family took over the city after the Reining King (Herkel Regar) grew mad with power and tried to torture a visiting diplomat and almost stated a war. The Stallis family won with support of the other houses and most of the population. Since then The Stallis family has ruled.
The Civil war that happened recent 9thirty five years ago) was the largest event in recent history, but you should have enough information to go with that.
From Time to time the Silverwyn port has housed the armies of other countries, and allowed their city to be sued to be used as part of a supply train, but it itself has never gone to war (except with itself).

They wont take her gold unless it's melted down and shaped into the form of Silverwyn currency. They only accept their currency and those of trading partners, and since her country isn't one it wouldn't work.
Still, she is a mage and is very skilled with magic. Do the people of this city know of magic used for combat at all?
The Mages of the Tunnel have dabbled in all kinds of magicks.
Please. Ask more questions. You aren't asking enough.

I doubt it, but they are a busy port so it would not be uncommon.
How does magic work?
However you would like it. There are many types of magic. I plan to sue this city in the future so i am leaving magic vague on purpose.
Are there magical objects?
Does a person have to be born a mage, or can he train to become one?
Some magicks can be taught Some Must be born.
What are the commoner's view on magic users?
Most people are distrustful of it but understand it is useful.
How will the people react when/if our characters use magic?
What kind of magic? if you start trowing ice spears the guards will kill you on spot. if you fly people with point and stare, if you turn stone to bread people will laugh. Depends what you plan on doing
by itself, not really. It is a port city with people from many cultures and customs all over the world.
The city's major Religion? What about their views on other religion?
Most worship a pantheon of twenty gods that was brought over from Amitria. They are fairly open about religion, and accept all sorts of religions. They have places of worship around the city for just about any religion.
You said that about 1000 Silver Wolfs equal 1 Golden Dragon, but how many Copper pennies equal a Silver Wolf? 1000 again?(just making sure)
Latest technology? Bombs?
Gunpower has just be invented, and it's uses are still making themselves known. So No bombs.
How common are horses?
It's a port city on it's own personal island. Not very.
How big is the island the city is on?
Crete sized. There are a few small villages other then Silverwyn, but all are controlled by Silverwyn.
You mention Tannisí House once(when talking about the Black Manor), what are they like?
Tannis has a description no? Oh I accidenlt wrote it as "Stannis" ****. I'll go edit it. This one is there.
"Though the tannis House does not officially run the City Watch they have been in charge of training them for many years. They originate from a warrior race across the Dead Sea and have stayed true to their warrior origins. Other then training the City Watch they own large farmlands outside the city. When the civil war broke out they did not side with the king, and donít think the king has forgotten that fact."
They are prideful, and hold grudges like no other. But each person is different.
Your Defacto Character, Aegon Regar, is part of the Regar House correct? What happened to the rest of that house?
Members of the Regar house were exiled by the king after the civil war except for Aegon who did not side with his house.
