Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC:
But did find something wrong with it. I’m curious now.

Word count: 1,222

BiC:
“Where the heck is he,” Leonidas asked to himself quite annoyed. He had been waiting for Zorlo for about an hour and there were no signs of him. The only good thing about that was that he wasn’t sweating anymore and he felt better now that he had rested a bit.

Not willing to wait anymore, the young ma sighed and headed back to his room. All he could think of in his way was on that punch he had been trying to develop and practicing. And of how he could better apply that mind over matter stuff in other areas and to decrease the time he needed to concentrate. He knew that he was still way too far for anyone powerful, but he somehow felt happy

. In just one week he increased his martial arts knowledge and skills to a degree that takes most people years to reach. Maybe that proved he wasn’t a failure after all. Or maybe it just showed that he had been studying the fighting arts for so long that some complicated stuff seemed easy now.

After a small walk, he finally reached his room again. Leonidas opened the door with no worries, not even imagining what was inside. As he looked around his room he saw everything in disorder and torn apart. His bed was reduced to nothing, his exercising gear was spread all around the room, and there was huge hole in the wall. He then turned his view to his right, where he saw something had never seen before: A troll.

A huge creature, probably as tall and wide as an Elephant. It had the same grayish skin color. But this creature was far more dangerous of course. The thing that striked Leonidas the most was the ugliness of this thin. Completely hairless, with a huge nose in all the sense of the word, along with incredibly big ears. Well, it actually looked kind of funny when you just looked at the face. The beast was wearing no clothes, but there were no peculiar organs in sight. The beast was only holding a tree’s branch in his right hand. Most likely to use it as a weapon.

Leonidas was just surprised he sight. But surprised as he was, he had to at quick. I could just Leave him here a go somewhere else. No need to get in an unnecessarily dangerous situation. O the other hand… this could be great practice. And it’s not like I can’t take him. I already look down and giant scorpion and a dragon. With a little help, of course, but I guess I should be fine. Its settled then. “Come! I’m going to punish you for trashing my room!” the young man shouted quite daringly.

The beast let out some kind of battle cry as it came rushing to the young man. The martial artist began to realize this would be hard as the beast drew closer. Still, he had made his mind and he had to get ready for it. The beast swinged its branch from left to right. Leonidas just dodged by doing a side somersault. However, the east was not as dumb as it looked, for it also swinged its left hand and grabbed the young man as he landed and immediately tossed him to the weights zone.

Leonidas could not regain control while on the air, so he crashed against the weigh that were lying on the ground. The pain was incredible. Leonidas knew that pain was not going to help him here. The beast rushed at the young man again. Trying to buy some time for himself, he grabbed a five LBS. weight and threw it at the beast’s mouth. It worked! The Troll almost ate the weight and was choking because of it.

You could say that was the best time to strike, but Leonidas couldn’t think so. The Troll was choking, but was not set motionless; trying to get near would still be dangerous. Instead, he used that time to concentrate and lose his sense of pain for now. That beast looked strong. Besides, he wanted to see just how much he could take like that. As he finished concentrating, he saw the weight passing beside his head. The Troll had apparently spit it out after some effort, and was ready to go on the offensive again.

The beast attacked with a vertical attack, wich Leonidas was simply avoided with a side step, after wich he did a small and stood on top of the branch. “Is that all you can do? Swing that stick of yours like an idiot?”

The beast didn’t reply, of course. He wasn’t even certain it could understand what he was saying. The monster suddenly smiled. It had something in mind. Without any warning or sing, the Troll lifted his branch with all his strength, and given the fact the Leonidas was standing on it, he was sent flying trough the ceiling and in to the field outside. The young man hit the ground so hard that he heard some bones making a weird sound. For a second there he thought he had broken a bone.

He immediately tried to stand up once he came to a complete stop, and he succeeded, but once he tried o step forward, he saw that his left leg did not respond and he felt pain there. He knew that he hurt his leg very badly when he landed.

The Troll was rushing to him very quickly; he had no time to see what was wrong. But he couldn’t move either. The only thing left was to greet the monster head on. Leonidas accommodated his body as so that he could strike with his right hand. He wanted to try that new punch he had been working on. His fist was only half closed. All he could do now was wait.

The beast came with all it could and swinged its tree branch with all it strength, and Leonidas swinged his arm to meet with the monster’s weapon. As the opposing force clashed, the monster’s weapon was suddenly broke down to pieces. Almost as if it had blown up from the inside out. All the remained in his hand was just a few pieces of wood. Staring at what he had left for a moment, the beast suddenly turned around and ran away screaming as it did so.

Was there some power of some king or over human strength on that punch? No, just technique. Just like everything Leonidas did. The punch consisted on to consecutive hits on the same spot in a fraction of a second. One hit with the first joint of the fingers, and the second impact came from the knuckles from the same hand. The first hit cracked the object while the second one made hose crack to separate. It was like and earthquake that separated things and spreaded through out the entire body. Of course, the movement greaves played a huge part there, for that speed with the fingers would not have been possible without them.

Leonidas sighed as he saw the result of this technique. “I did the whole motion wrong. And I didn’t hit the same spot. I missed by a little.” After letting that thought scape is mind, he sighed in relief as he saw the beast disappear in the trees. He would have probably lost there. Now, he had to see what was wrong with his leg. Hopefully, it was nothing serious.

OoC:
Say hello to the… well, I still don’t have a name for it. I’m thinking “spirit of conquest(Unperfected)”, but I’m not sure.

The post is meh, I know. I was planning on having more action, but I thought the post was long enough already.

Also, I think I made him progress too much on such little time. I don’t know if its right >_>.

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: First off, sorry it is taken so long. Secondly, good post.

Assignment Time:

Have Leonidas head off to the Infirmary to have his leg looked at for whatever is wrong with it. The wound will probably be quickly healed there, however asking is the best way to get stuff done. Also, from there, have Leonidas speak to one of the other patients. 600 word minimum.

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: Word count = 723

BiC:
Walking became an arduous task. He turned his sense of pain off, but he still couldn’t move his leg properly. Just getting to his room took him a couple of minutes. It was desesperating. He had no choice; he had to go the Infirmary. Not that he minded going there, but it was a little far from his room. Still, there was no other way around it, so he began to walk as best as he could to the Infirmary

After a boring 40 minute walk, wich would have taken about ten minutes in normal conditions, Leonidas had finally arrived. He sighed in relief as he opened the white door with the Red Cross in the middle. Once inside he was received by a girl with brown hair and the typical nurse uniform.

“Well, well, what have we here? You’re not in a bad shape, but you don’t seem to walk so well. Follow me.”

Leonidas quietly followed the girl to a bed and sat there.

“Stay here for a while. Your leg is just a bit numb. You hurt one of the muscles. You just need some ointment.” With that the girl left and went out of sight after going in to a corridor.

The young man looked around him just as distraction. The room he was in was filled with beds, some of them occupied. Some people were badly wounded and resting, while other seemed to be there for minor treatment, like him.

As he turned to his left, he saw a man of advanced age, probably on his seventies, staring at him. He was wearing clothes that were very worn of. He almost looked like a vagabond. His beard didn’t help in that area either. Itwas long and dirty.

“Why are you here?” the man asked quite curiously. He was probably just trying to be friendly, so Leonidas replied, although he did not feel like it.

“Got attacked by some weird creature, a Troll, I think. You?”

“I just came for my medication. At my age my heart does not work so well, so I need some pills to keep it working. I just came to pick them up, but the girl that is attending me doesn’t know where they are. She’s been looking for an hour now and she still hasn’t found them yet.”

As the man spoke, Leonidas couldn’t help but wonder if this mnas was even capable of fighting. His body just seemed to be pure bones. No mucle whatsoever. Not to mention that he didn’t seem to wear any weapon or artifact to help him fight. This guy just seemed... weak beyond belief. OF course, one would expect such thing at xuch age, right? So what was he still doing there, in the dome? Maybe he had some kind of power, or maybe he didn’t fight at all. If so what was his purpose.

It must have been Leonidas’ look on his face, or this guy was good at reading people, for he seemed to know what Leonidas was thinking.

“You don’t think this old man can fight, do you boy? Well, let me tell you that I still have quite a lot in me. Why I can probably take out an army by myself” The man replied, laugherd, and then coughed.

Take out an army? You can barely stand. You’ve probably lost your mind. There’s no point in talking to someone that has lost his mind. Aftar that that thought, Leonidas turned away in an attemp to ignore that crazy man. He respected his elders, but this guy had already lost his mind.

Suddenly, Leonidas felt a hit on the back of his head, but it wasn’t any normal kind of hit. There wasn’t much force in it, but it felt as if he got hit by something made of rock... or steel, maybe.

Turning around he saw the man’s fist closed. He wasn’t holdint anything at all. Then... how?

“Ha! Surprised! I may seem like a worthless old man, but I can still be as solid as a rock if I so wish it!”

“Old man... What is your name?”

“Just call me Teco.”

The nurse that had attended Leonidas just came with the ointment he needed.

“Just rub this on your leg, and you’ll be good as new in two minutes.”

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

Good post. time to work on something else, though.

Assignment Time:

Leonidas will receive a letter from someone. The letter won't say who it is, but it will ask Leonidas to come into the warehouse, deep within the more technologically advanced section of the Dome. On the way there, have Leonidas examine some of the more futuristic things he hasn't seen, along with whom he thinks could be calling him to this place. End your post with the doors of the warehouse opening. 800 word minimum.

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: Word count: 1,135

Say, Z, I was wondering, what are the biggest faults in my writting? Also, Do I god-mod? I've been wondering for quite a while now.

BiC:
Wasting no time, Leonidas rubbed the ointment on his legged aas he looked at the old man. “Mind if I ask how you did that?”

“Ha! Now you want to listen to men, he? How about I don’t tell you now? ”

“Come on, don’t you want to pass on your knowledge on to someone?”

“Like you could understand! You need to be a doctor to understand everything I teach you.”

“Hey, I just asked you to tell me how you did that, I didn’t ask you to be my teacher.”

The old man looked at Leonidas for a moment. Almost as if he was looking for something. Then the man took a book out from one of the back pockets on his pants.
“These are my notes. I was once a doctor who studied the human body in order to find out its full potential. They’re mostly medical observations, but if you’re smart enough, you’ll figure it out. As for the punch I just gave you… lend me your arm for a moment.”

“What for?”

“Just do it.” Complying with Teco’s request, Leonidas stretched his arm and pressed on with just the two main fingers of his right had in the inner spot where the elbow bends. A tremendous pain came to his arm, it felt as if his muscled were creating strength and hardened. It just a blink of an eye it seemed like his muscled were in tension and seemed paralyzed.

“I just hit a pressure point in your arm. This has created a huge amount of tension on your arm, the tension, in result, has hardened your muscles. Right now they’re as hard a rock… literally. You could very well use your arm as a shield against a sword or any other kind weapon if you wanted.” Teco then released the pressure point and Leonidas’ arm returned to normal. Leonidas then tried to do the same, but with no success, as he couldn’t find the exact spot. Teco then burst up in laughter. “You’re an idiot if you think you can do that right away. It will take at least a month to figure that spot out.”

In that moment, the nurse that had attenden Leonidas arrived. “Excuse me, sir, but a letter has arrived you.”

Leonidas took the letter and thanked the nurse, he then turned to look at the old man again as he opened the letter. “So, my arms can get as hard as a rock. Is that the limit?”

“You’re young and your muscles are strong. If you are a real man and can endure a tremendous amount of pain, you could probably turn your body in to diamonds.”

“Body? You mean this works for any part of my body?”

“That’s right, junior.”

Leonidas then turned and read the letter.

“Please, head out to the warehouse of the Dome. You can get there by walking to your left once you leave the infirmary. After that, walk for ten minutes and turn on the first right you see. Once you’ve reached that point, look for a door made of steel with a blue sphere on it. I must ask that you hurry up. It is an important matter.”

Leonidas felt somewhat curious and puzzled. The letter had no name or seal on it. The handwriting didn’t seem familiar either. Still, He decided to go. It said it was important, so as much as he would have liked to hear more from that old man, he had to leave. He stood up ad moved his leg a little. The ointment had done his job and he was ready to move. “Sorry, Teco, but I have to go now. Take care of your heart.”

“It’s okay boy, do what you have to do. Read that book carefully. I’m sure it’s knowledge will help you.”

Leonidas then walked away and left the infirmary. Once outside, he proceeded with following the instructions he had read on the letter. And as he walked, he put the book he had just obtained in his bag. There was no pint in reading it now. He had to go somewhere and getting distracted would result in getting lost. Besides, he wanted to read that with more care.

As he followed the instructions and was getting near the warehouse, eh began to notice how everything seemed to change. All of a sudden, the torches were nowhere to be found and light was now coming from glasses that had light within them, and s bunch of metallic beings were coming and going to through the hallways. The young man felt curious and stopped for a moment and grabbed one of these things and watched it carefully.

It seemed like a box made of metal, it had circles on the lower part, just like chariots. It had a couple of arms and each arm seemed like the ones crabs have. Something that was also curious was that they were no signs of eyes. Leonidas wondered how this creature was able to move around without stomping on to something. Suddenly, he saw some kind of tiny lever. Leonidas moved the being above him to look at it and then moved the lever. Suddenly, a door opened a d a lot of trash came from it. All of it fell on Leonidas’ face, who immediately tossed the metal creature aside while coughing. That had been a weird experience. Leonidas cleaned up as best as he could with his hands and then looked around to see that creature again, but it was nowhere in sight. Deciding to ignore it, Leonidas continued on his way.

His mind then switched to wonder who had sent the letter. It had no name in it, the handwriting also seemed familiar, and to add some mystery, the person who had sent the letter knew he was in the infirmary. How would have anyone known the he was there and sent the letter, and how would that person have know he would have been there where the letter arrived. As eh thought of the possibilities, only one person came to mind: Luna. He had just met her, so he didn’t know her handwriting, she probably had no seal to sign letters, and she had to ability to locate someone through his thoughts. Still, it was probable someone completely strange had sent the letter. After all, if Luna located him, then why didn’t she just call him telepathically instead of sending a letter?

Finally, Leonidas had reached his destiny. A door made of metal with a blue sphere on it. Leonidas approached the door, but saw no mean of opening it. Then, as he drew closer, the door began to open in a weird way. The door seemed to be going to the roof and disappearing in the wall.

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: The main drawback in your writing is that you don't fully grasp the language, so some things are harder for you than others. Also, as according to Niku and that thread you're in with him, Leonidas does tend to know a bit more than he should. As for if you God-mod in battle, I'd say no more than is normal here, is s'all.

Assignment Time:

Now that Leonidas has found himself into the room, robots will emerge from within the rotating walls to attack him. Have Leonidas defeat several of these robots and end your post there. To be different, no word count, so you can be as creative and inventive in as long or short a post as you want.

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: You... are the first person... to ever say to me... that I don't grasp the languaje... WOW! I never thoguth I would hear that. Everyone I meet usually compliments me about my english. Thatnks though. I needed to hear my faults and mistakes. I'll try to be better.

Starting the next post (this one is really crappy. I did it as fast as I could withouth giving it much though. It's freaking hot around here and I'm still working on a borrowed compy).

BiC:
Once the door opened, Leonidas could hardly believe what his eyes were showing him. The place was incredibly huge, and there were animals made of metal moving around things. No human was in sight, or any other life form that wasn’t made of metal.

It wasn’t long before he was greeted, by someone. A person who was wearing a full body armor. It was completely white with blue light here and there. The most troubling thing was that he couldn’t even see this persons eyes.

“You are not authorized to be here. Withdraw immediately.” The armor clad man said in a weird tone. It sounded weird. Leonidas just couldn’t quite grasp how someone could talk like that. Every word seemed… almost forced.

“Erm… look pal, I’m just looking for someone, would you be kind enough to let me pass? I’ll be quick.”

Suddenly a red flashing light filled the room. The sound of an alarm and the person in front of him began to shout, “Intruder alert!”

Leonidas knew this was bad and he wanted to run, but he had to see whoever sent the letter. There was no choice, he’d have to in though force. He quickly threw a punch on the face, but he ended up regretting it for he only managed to hurt himself. The white armor clad man didn’t even flinch; wich seemed weird since the punch should have at least pushed him.

It looked like this was a job for a conquest punch. While it couldn’t utterly destroy metal, it should have at least been able to shake the person in the armor. The metal man raised his hand and pointed at Leonidas with an open palm. A whole was there and a light was getting bigger and brighter. Suddenly, a ball of light came out. Leonidas ducked quickly and just heard how the attack passed above him. This guy is really slow

He then threw a conquest punch from that position. A strike well made hit the stomach, but with no real results. Leonidas just ended up being hurt again, and the armored guy was charging up another attack.

Realizing it was useless to fight, the young man quickly passed by him and ran as fast as he could. He was really fast, and there was no way he could catch up. Then, he took a right turn in a corridor, he found a whole bunch of men clad in the same armor. The place was infested. He quickly turned around and ran away. He kept that up for a while. Running through corridor, above container containers and sometime hiding in huge tube for small periods of time. Bumping in to guards every now and then.

After a while of running, the young man thought he’d finally lost them and sat on the floor. He was tired and had to catch his breath. Suddenly, he heard footsteps, but whoever was coming was coming alone. He turned around to find one armored guard. Leonidas quickly stood up and ran towards him. He was tired of running and wanted to find a way to finish them up for good. The armored guard raised his hand, but before he could do anything, the young man had already reached him. Out of pure rage, the martial artist began to let punch after punch hit his opponent. Each hit didn’t do much, but as the amount of hit grew, so did the damage. The speed at wich the punches came was so fast that one could actually see mirages of his arms and hands. In a matter of seconds, the armor was totaled and the guard fell. Taking a good look at him, Leonidas soon realized that the armor was practically empty in the sense that it had no one inside. It was just filled with metal.

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: *laughs* Hey, I don't think anyone fully grasps English. Its such a confusing language and because there are variations in it, it makes it even harder. Sometimes I have problems with this language, and its my first, so its only natural that you'd have some problems, since its your second language, right? Mainly that stems, though, from the fact that things in english are spelled awkwardly and not how they sound. @_@ Anyway, that post wasn't bad.

Assignment Time:

To get you up and running, time for Leonidas to leave the room where he had been fighting the robots and walk into a technologically advanced city. Have him wander around until he finds his way into a subway station and have him take a ride on the bullet train. Eventually, something will lead him to have to go on top of it. End your post there. ^_^

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC= word count 659

sorry for taking so long, but this was the first time in weeks that ive gotten my hands on a real compy.

BiC=
Leonidas could hear steps coming from the distance. They were getting louder and louder as time passed. It was obviously going to be troublesome to stay there, so he ran among the warehouse once more. He eventually, ended up finding a door similar to the one he u8ed to get in there. He didn’t know where it lead to, but it probably was better than that place.

He rushed towards the door and got ready to hit it as he did so. When he got close enough, he leaped forward and the door opened before he touched it. Leonidas just flew in the air for a few second before touching ground and rolled a bit before coming to a complete stop. Leonidas rubbed his head as he stood up. “Aw, maaaan. I forgot those doors open by themselves.” Leon looked up o see his surroundings and saw a bunch of people, looking at him like some kind of freak. He then looked up and saw structures made of glass that seemed t o reach the heaves. There were also flying boxes all over the sky. The young man could only watch and be surprised. He simply could not believe what he was seeing. Looking back at the people around him, who were dressing kinda funny, he gathered courage and spoke up. “Where am I?”

“Go back to the slums you feak!,” a small girl replied. Everyone else just turned around and kept walking as if nothing ever happened.

“Well, the people around here aren’t very nice. Well, anyway, just standing here isn’t going to take me anywhere. I’d better get moving.”

Leonidas walked and walked in these huge streets, witnessing how the life here seemed to go at a different speed. Everyone was rushing, everyone was in a hurry, and there were shops everywhere. He then saw some stairs leading underground and decided to go there. People seemed to be sliding some kind of card on a metal box and getting a piece of paper in return. Since Leonidas didn’t have any card, he just passed by and kept walking. He saw how people were getting inside white boxes made of metal. Being rather curious about it, he decided to go inside. There was nothing inside but seats and steel bars. Everyone was either sitting or holding at the bars.

Suddenly, the doors closed and the box began to move. He then realized that this was some kind of transport. The young man just held on to a steel bar on the ceiling and enjoyed the view and the vehicle came out of a tunnel and saw the city he was in as the vehicle gained altitude. Suddenly, a hand that felt rather hard touched his shoulder, and an unhuman voice spoke. “Ticket please.” Leonidas turned around just to find another metallic man. But this one seemed different. It was wearing a blue uniform, with a hat and a badge.

“Ticket? Oh, sorry, I must have dropped it somewhere”

“Then I’m afraid you’ll have to come with me”

“Aw, come on, I haven’t done anything.”

“Resisting arrest! Use fore!”

“What?! Come on I’m jus--”

Suddenly, the man made of metal pointed his arm at him. Leonidas knew what this meant, and he immediately placed his right leg behind the man’s right leg and pushed him, causing him to fall. He then turned around ad ran, but stopped almost immediately as he saw another metal man coming fro that direction. There was nowhere t run. The only possible exit was an open window to his right, but they were so high up that it seemed like suicide. Still, there was no other choice. He quickly made a jump launching his feet first and grabbed the upper edge of the window as his upper body came out, resulting in a back somersault. He was now on the roof of the vehicle.

“Oh, man, what have I gotten myself in to?”

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

BiC: "To answer that," a voice from within the machine called up, "you're in a small town filled with mostly robots and other artificial humanoid beings," the man dressed fully in black within the car said, keeping a dark mask firmly over his rather light seemingly frame. "Now then, you got some place to be, homie, or can I choose where we're going?" the man asked as he kept the vehicle moving.

OoC: Okay, your post was okay. Double check your posts though, because there were some minor errors, but nothing major. Now then, on and up. ^_^

Assignment Time:

The man wearing all black will drive Leonidas to some place with the code name "Base". From there, the dark clad man will lead Leonidas to meet with their leader, who is a man that no one seems to know much about. The masked man will say a little bit, but not much. End your post with Leonidas meeting this nameless leader and I'll pick us up from there. ^_^

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: Word count: 10007+ (I did some editing).

Its good to have something to do again.

BiC:
Homie? This place is filled with what and what? Leonidas stared at the masked man for a second. Where the heck did he come from? What exactly did he want? These questions had filled his mind until he heard the sound of steps behind him.

“Um, yeah, whatever, just get me out of here!”

“Will do. Just Hold on!”

Leonidas then turned around a saw 5 of those metallic men coming after him. It didn’t seem like there was going to be any way to come to a peaceful agreement, so Leonidas took fighting stance. Suddenly, the black clad man shouted, “Hey, kid, Get on the floor!”

“What? Just do it!”

The young man then ducked as fast as he could and put his chest and face against the floor. Almost as soon as he did so, he heard a strong sound, like metal clashing. He looked up and saw…nothing the men that were after him had disappeared. He looked back and some ropes than were getting farther by the second. He then realized how dangerous it was outside the vehicle. He then carefully got inside again through the window he had come out. Once inside, he saw the man that had helped him.

He didn’t seem as anything special or peculiar. Just a guy with black clothes and a jacket. The only odd thing was the mask that completely covered his face and the rest of his head. Only the front part of the mask seemed to be made of some kind of alloy. Everything else seemed to be made of fabric. “Follow me,” the dark man requested.

“Sure, but where to?”

“To e next cart, we’re going to split from the rest of the people.”

They both walked to the next cart, the one in the front. Once there, the masked man moved his left sleeve back and revealed a small silver bracelet with a lit of buttons on it. He just pressed one and the cat suddenly shook for a moment. Leonidas looked back and saw how they were getting farther and farther away from the rest of the vehicle

“So…where are we going?”

“To the Base of couse.”

“To the Base? What Base?”

The masked man laughed slightly and replied, “It doesn’t really have a name if you look at it that way. We just call it, ‘The Base.’ We’ve never really given t any name. Maybe our leader has a name for it.”

“Your leader? Um… anyway, Why did you help me? Do you ant or expect anything in return?”

“What? You don’t think people help others out of good faith? He, he. Don’t worry, you’ll find out. All things on due time.”

Time passed by as the moved along the rails of the Train. The trip was roughly 2 hours. In that time, the masked man explained Leonidas several aspects of the society he was in. He explained what the robots were, the types of transport that existed, and the most common and useful devices that existed there. All of that without revealing his plans. Each time Leon tried to figure something out of that, the masked man simply replied, “All things o time,” and, “Don’t be so impatient. Wait until our meet our leader”. He never even mentioned his leader’s name o appearance. Leonidas could only hope he hadn’t gotten himself in trouble.

“So, We have spoken for a while now, but I still don’t have your name.”

“ah, yes, of course… my name. Well, I can’t give you my real one… but people all me… I-D.”

“I-D?”

“You’ll find out why if you see me in action. Besides, there’s no time. We’ve arrived.” I-D then pressed anther button on his bracelet and the train stopped. They were inside a tunnel at that moment and they got off the cart and went through an emergency door for workers. The dark clad man pressed another button on his bracelet again and the train began to move again.

Where can I get one of those?

They walked for a few minutes through a maze of corridors and stairs. The corridors were nothing special to look at. The walls and ceiling were just Beige in color. The floor was made of concrete and was just grey. After going down for a long time, they finally reached a destination. A door made of metal that was colored beige, just like the rest of the doors, so it didn’t look special or different at all.

I-D opened the door went inside, followed by the young man. The place inside was certainly breath taking. A huge room wich had the ceiling a lot of meters above. People that were sitting in front of computer were aligned from top to boom of the walls. It seemed that the chairs they were sitting on were capable of flight, wich allowed hem to reach their assigned post no matter how high it was. On the ground level there were a lot of people walking. Most of them had the appearance of soldiers or warriors of some sort.

After a small walk and taking an elevator, that took forever to reach its destination, they reached the highest level of a building right in the middle of the city. A panoramic view to behold. A door made of silver that had a similar deign of a door than the one Leonidas was used to as in front of them. They both walked to and through it.

Once inside, Leonidas saw a huge black desk, a huge window, and an empty black leather seat. They walls had a slight touch of gray on them and they were filled with diplomas. A small fridge could also be found right next t the desk.

“So you’re here.” a voice of a man that was probably in his forties was heard from their right. Leonidas turned around to find a man wearing a black suit and an orange shirt and tie. The man had black hair; wich showed a few white hairs on the sides. “Welcome, my name is Thomas, and I wish to speak to you about something.”

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

The man in the orange suit smiled at Leonidas as another figure approached him and placed a hand on his shoulder. The man wore a black kind of jacket with golden buttons on the cuffs and a black mantle over his shoulders. A smile spread over the man's face as he turned, the belt around his waist shifted as some metal clinked from it. "Calm down, Thomas. There's no need to cover for me. After all, Z told me this kid was coming."

The elder man bowed and stepped back. "I'm Monroe Vossler, leader of the Goug Special Forces: Tactical Assault and Specialized Support. TASS. We're skilled mercenaries who have gained powers from some of my experiments, natural skills and some technological tools. I know you met I-D, since he brought you. He wears a special kind of camouflage called Octo-Camo. It's a specialized device that allows him to copy the appearance of any person he's saved into the mask's database."

I-D walked in almost quietly and pressed a button on his mask, creating a kind of cloaking field around himself and changing his appearance to match Leonidas. "Good to meet you, again," he said, looking at Monroe.

"As for Thomas," Monroe said as he crossed his arms. "He's a technical support member. He works on weapons and armor for the other members. My stuff is customized. However, he's got some sweet things of his own. Namely that he can bend bullets."

"Bend... bullets?" Leonidas asked as Thomas twisted quickly and drew a gun, pulling the trigger following his quick draw and causing the bullet to bend around Leonidas head and strike the wall behind him.

"My code name is Side-Winder."

Monroe smiled at the display and looked behind Leonidas. "And last but not least, Yvan isn't here right now. She'll be back... eventually. But for now, Z's sent you here to help us out with the problems here. Some of the robots are going berserk and we need some help with... crowd control."

"Crowd control... why me?" Leonidas asked.

"Z said you have skills similar to mine before my powers developed, that's why."

"All right, then I've just got two questions left: what are your and Yvan's powers?"

"Yvan..." Monroe laughed a little bit. "She's what you would call a specialized assassin. You'll meet her eventually. As for me," the Quincy stated as he held his left hand out and a flash erupted, a blast exploding behind Leonidas a moment later, a bow in Monroe's left, gloved hand and smoke rising off of his right hand, "I'm a Quincy. Now then, you three will go into the field where Yvan is and help her out. Good luck."

Assignment Time:

Yvan, better known for her skills as a "ninja" then as an assassin, is out in the city, tearing through machines with the best of her skills. Still, she's been trapped, and the other three need to get there immediately. Time for Leonidas to try to lead the others in helping out the group. Monroe will go, but he'll be elsewhere, unseen to the rest of the three. Go for it, have fun with this. ^_^

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: Sorry for the incredibly long delay Zorolo. Hope you still remember me . Anyway, things should work faster now. New compy, all instaled and ready, steady internet connection, and I'm still on vacations. Training should go at a good speed for a while.

BiC:
Leon just watched as he saw how the others were getting ready. They were ll wearing clothes and weapons he had never even imagined. All that while he wondered why Zorlo had sent him there. Looking around him, he felt somewhat out of place and league. Still, there was no use in complaining, ad this was probably a way to test his skills. Also, wasn’t Monroe the same guy who he had fought in the coliseum? Yes, it was him! It was the same guy. “Oh, well, we’re partners now no point in picking a fight.”

Having nothing better to do, he began to read the book the old man in the infirmary gave him. As he read the book, he was realizing more and more the usefulness of that knowledge. However, he couldn’t read for long. A few minutes after he started, the rest of the team was ready.

“We’re set kid,” Monroe said.

“Very well, where do we start?”

“Not far from here,” Replied Side-Winder. Leon turned and saw him completely changed. He was wearing a camouflaged uniform along with a small orange scarf on his neck. He also had lost of bags that were kept together by several belts. It was obvious he was carrying many things. “We just need to keep some robots busy as we evacuate some folks. It’s just a couple of blocks away, but we’re still going to use some transport.”

“Enough chat,” Monroe shouted, “Let’s move.” With that said, everyone ran and got on a black truck that was loaded with weapons.

It didn’t take them long to get to their destination. When they arrived, the doors of the truck opened automatically and everyone went outside. The young man only stared in awe as he saw many robots shooting everywhere like crazy. He just stood there, when suddenly a flash of light passed in front of him. He turned and saw how Side-Winder destroyed one of those robots with one shot. Side-Winder then turned and yelled at the young warrior: “COME ON! MOVE OR YOU’LL GET KILLED!”

That brought him back to his senses. This wasn’t the first battleground he was in. It was just different. He unsheathed his sword and rushed towards a robot ahead of him, who was facing the opposite direction. When he was close enough, he jumped directly above; he took off his sword and placed it under his right foot with the blade facing down. The impact upon landing was strong enough to let the blade cut through the metal and go in to the head of the robot. Leonidas somersaulted forward, took his blade out of the robot’s head, and went on to the next one. He knew he needed to get some strenght in his attacks to pierce that armor.

The fight went on for a while. After about an hour or so, the area was completely cleaned of robots. Not a single one was in sight.

Leon sighed out of joy. He was happy he had finally stood up to those things. Besides, He was teaming up with a special forces unit. Leonidas had always been trained to be an elite soldier and an army commander. Even though he hated using deadly force, he felt comfortable helping out like he was doing in that instant. Everyone was cheering up when Side-Winder suddenly wondered why they hadn’t seen any signs of Yvan in the area.

Suddenly a huge explosion ocurred in a nearby building. A female figure was sent flying, followed by a group of robots that jumped after her. One of them managed to catch her before she hit the floor and began to run away, followed by 7 companions.
Everyone knew who that was and wwhat was going on. They began the chace withouth wasting a single second.

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

Sorry this took so long.

Assignment Time:

Now then, its time for the grand escape. The entire group, minus Monroe who will have seemed to just vanish, will need to get out of the city. Then, and only then, will the robots stop following them. Good luck. ^_^

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

OoC: ok, so I assume I have to get the girl back first, right? The companions I talked about where robots. I meant the companions of the robot. Guess I rusted up a bit, huh?

BiC:
The group rushed to save Yvan. Side-Winder shot a few rounds of bullets, destroying 4 robots in the process. 3 robots turned around to face the group, while the one carrying Yvan kept on going. Everyone in the squad stopped to fight them. Everyone, except Leonidas. He jumped and made a somersault in the air to avoid one robot and pursue the one that was on the run.

Quickly catching up to him, Leon jumped on the robot’s shoulders and made another jump upwards. Doing a backward somersault, he unsheathed his weapon, put it on his right arm and moved his sword downwards as ha was falling, stabbing the sword in to the robot’s head.
The machine fell as it released Yvan. She did not move one bit when she hit the floor. Being obvious that she was out cold, the young warrior quickly grabbed her and ran to the rest of the group as fast as he could. Being in a rush, he did not take the time to look closely at her. As he reached the rest of the group, I-D yelled, “Run, Leonidas, Run!” Taking a more careful look, he noticed a horde of robots coming. Turning his eyes to his right, he saw robots coming that way. Behind was no exception. The only way to go seemed to be the left.

He waited until the team caught up with him and they all ran in that direction. As they were running, hundreds and hundreds of robots were coming out of everywhere, every building, window and sewer. It was an unbelievable sight. As they ran Leonidas could help but wonder, Where the heck did they come from?. It appeared that they were not going to make it when the vehicle they had used appeared. It seemed to be riding itself, wich left Leon quite surprised, but he didn’t stop anyway. They all ran to the vehicle, turned it around and made the vehicle run as fast as he could. I-D was the one driving, and the others were shooting and throwing anything they had and could find. Eventually some robots made to the roof of the vehicle and started shooting through it. Leonidas couldn’t do anything but to try to avoid them as SideWinder kept shooting back.

After a few minutes that felt like hours, the robots suddenly stopped, and the ones already on the roof, jumped off. Leon then realized that they had reached some kind of desert with nothing but a road in the middle of it. They kept on going until the city was nothing but a view on the distance. When they finally stopped everyone let go a sigh of relief and loosened their bodies. Everyone had a wound or two. Leonidas had a small cut on his right arm and left leg. Both caused by the fire they were receiving while they were trying to get away. Looking at the rest of the group Leon asked, “Well… what now?

Re: [Zorolo] Leonidas's training

Monroe looked at the man, calling over. "That's easy. Find your way back. After all, the truth behind any adventurer is their ability to locate what they've lost. After all, you need to be good and lost to find that which can't be found, you know," the dark clad man stated as he started walking off. "As for me, I know my destination. I'm sure I'll find you in the Dome."

Assignment Time:

Monroe has now left Leonidas in the desert to find his way back to Dome. This won't be a short journey, by any means. It will be full of many perils and events. So... it's gonna take a few posts. So, for this first one, you get to choose his path and his peril. After that, I'll give you the next peril in my next post, to keep things moving. Good luck. ^_^
