The Monkey's Paw

You have a wish, do you not? However, for most people wishes are simply dreams, wants which can never be met. However, in this world wishes can become real-

For a price.

A set number of monkey paws have been scattered around a small area, each with the ability to grant one wish. You can wish for anything, however, be warned. Word your wish wisely otherwise you may find yourself with an unforeseen consequence.

So, let me ask you; is your wish so important you are willing to take the risks? Or will you live your boring life with it never coming true.

The decision is up to you.

Rules:

Spoiler:  

1) You can wish for anything. However, you cannot say "I wish this wish has no repercussions" or something along the lines of that. Not only will you waste that wish, but the next wish you do (or a wish someone else makes that affects you) will be more dickish then normal.
2) The whole point of Monkey Paw's wish system is that you have to be incredibly careful in your wording. So, when you have an averse side effect you don't enjoy, well, tough beans. That's the whole point.
3) On that note, you must live (and RP) with the side effects you receive. You can TRY to change them with your wishes, but of course this links back to one. So, for example, let's say your characters wished for friends. The monkey paw grants it, but the catch is that nobody else can see them, ie, they are imaginary. You will have to carry on conversations with nobody actually being there and having everyone around you think you are crazy.
4) You do not need to wait for others to post. It is an individual RP.
5) I will play as the DM. So, I will describe the environments and decide what the monkey paw does in terms of wishes. Of course, once I describe the environment, you don't need me to re-describe it when you return to the same spot. I will only do descriptions of what happens for new environments, new actions in old environments (such as opening a drawer which wasn't opened before) and the creation of NPCs and their personalities. Otherwise, you are free to do whatever.
6) The world starts out in a small farming town. However, I also have a nearby village and city set up for activities and places to explore. As the environment changes, your world to explore will grow.
7) This is an "anything goes" type world. (This does not mean ridiculous back stories as you go along. None of that ♥♥♥♥. I will call you out on that.)
8) Rules can be added or amended at any time. There will be an announcement in the discussion thread prior.

Appearance: Blonde hair; the back barely touches the shoulders while the front comes just below his ears. Has a very plain looking face with no features particularly striking, aside from a pair of crystal-clear blue eyes. Alan stands at five foot nine and is a bit underweight. He dresses in unmarked t-shirts and jeans.

Personality: Alan would like to have a lot of friends, but he isn't very outgoing. Thus, he typically spends his time just surfing the internet, watching TV and movies, reading, or just lazing about. He doesn't like doing work but must reluctantly work around the house when his parents tell him to. He likes cartoons and playing video games. Alan knows a few things about coding but he can't do anything impressive, and he aspires to one day move to a city and go to school for program development.

Appearance: Joan has long, wavy, brown hair, light skin, brown eyes, and a slender body type. Her primary outfit consists of blue jeans, brown leather boots, and a white t-shirt under a white, long sleeved blouse.

Personality: Joan is a very sympathetic, generous, friendly, humble, sweet, and selfless woman. However, she is very weak (emotionally), making her unable to stand up to anyone, especially her abusive husband.
The two things that she holds closest to her heart are her only child/son and her horse.

She finds comfort when she rides her horse, reads, writes, paints, and/or draws. She also loves her son and her horse very much. She also enjoys being outside, especially when the sun is shining and the wind is blowing.

The main thing that she wishes for is to become strong enough to end her husband's abuse.

Appearance: Zak has matted long brown hair and the scraggly beginnings of a beard. His eyes are a dark blue, but its hard to see them behind his hair. He's 6 feet tall, but his hair adds about 5 inches to that. He wears a dirty black jacket with a high collar over a filthier yellow sweatshirt, and tattered jeans covered in duck tape. He's usually carrying bags around with stuff he's... "acquired" from trash cans and other people's cars.

Personality: Zak is a loud, reproachable man who has a tendency to blame people for his problems. Ever since he dropped out of high school he's been living on the streets. Because his parents kicked him out, he has anger problems towards parental figures, especially his own. He has little regard for other people's property, but he cannot take anything from children. If anything happens to a child and it's his fault, he would probably kill himself trying to fix it.

Despite his lack of most life skills, Zak has a dream of becoming rich, famous, and powerful enough to do whatever he wants.

Interests: Food, money, any game he can get his hands on, walking in the park (he doesn't get to do this often because people think he's trying to steal from them...which is true, actually.)

Appearance: Jason stands about 5’10 with a slightly heavy build. He has a light tan and dark brown hair that he keeps short and neatly trimmed with a little gel. His face has softer features and his eyes are a plain brown. He tends to wear white t-shirts and jeans with a soft colored button up shirt and a pair of white casual shoes he keeps as clean as possible.

Personality: Jason is rather outgoing and social, trying to know everyone. He can talk about anything and will take an interest in anything if it offers the possibility to join a conversation or talk to someone. He loves comedy though he’s quite positive that he isn’t particularly funny and is content with hearing jokes rather than making them. He can come off as overbearing and suffocating but is ultimately trying to be as friendly and helpful as he can be.

Interests: Comedy in any form, making friends, just about everything else if the situation calls for it.

Your name is Alan Layne and you are in your room.

Your room is on the second floor of your two story house.

Your room is pretty sweet. Looking at it from the door it goes as such:

Right wall:
Computer desk with two drawers on the right hand side. On top of the desk is a laptop with scattered papers. Above the desk is two shelves. You have one of those sweet ass rolly chairs next to it, allowing you to scoot around your hardwood floor room. Next to the desk are some books stacked up.

Back wall:
Attached to the wall is a flat screen 30 inch TV with a couple of video game consoles on the floor beneath it. Posters frame either side of the TV

Left wall:
Your bed, which is pushed up to the back wall. Next to your bed you have your closet. Above your bed is a huge poster.

Door wall:
On the left hand of your door is your dresser, which has 6 drawers. On the right is a bookshelf.

What will you do?

Your name is Joan Williams and you are in your room in your single floor ranch home.

Your room is...different. Living with your loser husband means you have to make accommodations to another person when decorating it. You have made a lot of accommodations for him. You just can't stand up to him and tell him that enough is enough.

Looking at it from the door it goes as such:

Right wall:
Your closets. There are two of them; one for you, one for him. Between them in your jewelery cabinet with a poster hanging above it.

Back wall:
Your king sized bed. On the left hand side is your husbands bed side table on the right is yours. Each table has one drawer. Your husbands has tons of magazines and papers on top of his and you have some books on top of yours.

Left wall:
Your window; two dressers are underneath it. Each has six drawers, but yours has a mini cactus on top. That way you know which one is yours at a glance.

Door wall:
There is a small mirror on the right hand side.

What will you do?

Your name is Zak Vasas and you are currently exploring town in your shopping cart.

Now don't be hating on the shopping cart because your shopping cart is the coolest shopping cart around. Not only is it the best one you could find at the local Shurfine, but it doubles as a vehicle and a home.

Inside your shopping cart you have what little possessions you have or stolen.

What will you do?

Your name is Jason Zander and you are in your room at your parent's single story suburb home.

Your room is awesome, or so you think. Your parents think its ridiculous, but they don't know comedy, so you disregard their opinion.

Looking at it from the door it goes as such:

Right wall:
Your bed pushed underneath a window. At the foot of your bed is a bookcase.

Back wall:
There is a desk with four drawers; two on the right and two on the left. On top of it is a desktop. You have a beanie chair which farts when you sit on it. Rubber chickens and playing cards litter the floor around the desk.

Left wall:
Your closet with the dresser on the left of the closet. The dresser has six drawers.

Door wall:
Just the door. And other things you have set up as practical pranks.

What will you do?

I sit in my chair and play some video games.

Alan sits down his chair and scoots it so he is in front of his TV so he can play some video games. However, before he can start playing, he needs to decide on a game station first.

The Playstation 3 or the Nintendo Gamecube?

Alan scratches his head and thinks for a moment. He decides on the Gamecube and gets it set up.

Alan plays some video games until he gets bored or rage quits from a jackass enemy being an ass and not dying.

What will you do now?

Zak wheels his shopping cart into an alleyway as he gets closer to Shurefine. They aren't really too happy he stole borrowed it, and they ARE NOT TAKING IT FROM HIM. Putting his hands into his jacket pockets he leaves the alleyway and heads towards a local resturant. People never suspect someone will take their tacos there.

"♥♥♥♥in' Ganon..." Alan groaned. He reclined back in his chair and stared at the ceiling for a moment. His stomach began to growl, and when he checked the clock he noticed it was lunch time. Alan rose from his seat and went downstairs to get something for lunch.

Zak walks across the busy street, not bother looking both ways because this street was hardly busy as he walked into Four Corner's, a small family owned restaurant.

It's a cozy place with about 20 circular tables for people to sit at. It's a seat yourself kind of joint, and you'll usually see adults and senior citizens there, except for the occasional high school and college students, who usually travel in packs.

What will you do?

Zak sits as indiscreetly as he can next to an occupied table. Grabbing a menu so he doesn't look too suspicious, he glances over to see what's on the other people's plates.

Leaving the room, Alan travels down the hallway passing three doors before reaching the top of the stair case.

Going down the flight of stairs, you find yourself next to the doorway. To your right is the family room. To your left is the kitchen then the dining room.

What will you do?

Zak looks around the room, seeing what people are eating.

The answer is pancakes. Pancakes as far at the eye can see. No, wait, there is some waffles. But pretty much pancakes. Probably because there is a sale on pancakes today.

Then A SUDDEN OBNOXIOUSLY PERKY WAITRESS APPEARS.

"What can I start you with?" She has blonde curly hair, a big breast which are even more pronounced by the uniform and baby blue eyes. Her name tag says her name is Shirley.

What are you going to do?

Alan pushes the door to the kitchen open and goes inside.

Inside of Alan's kitchen there is two green granite counters making an L shape. (Connected to the right wall and jutting out to make an island) and above the counters are cabinets which are about a foot below the ceiling. On the left wall is your stove/oven with the microwave hanging over it and next to it on the right (separated by a small counter with a hanging cabinet-about a foot in length) is your fridge/freezer.

Zack tries to avoid eye contact with the waitress, and glances down at the menu. "Uh...how about pancakes?" Trying to think of how to keep her away longer, Zak raises a hand. "Make that...fifteen pancakes. And I want them all at once."

Shirley gives Zak a questioning glance. Pancakes are brought out all at once. Why wouldn't they be? That's just stupid if they brought them out at separate times.

"Anything to drink sir?" She asked, jotting down Zak's order thus far.

Zak withers a little under her questioning look and mutters. "Water."
