I assumed telepathy is whisper. Gamzee when he comes back if telepathy can be a sub sect of whisper, or if telepathy is a low enough magic level to warrant letting me know it.

I mean what we could do is the following:
1) Whisper is telepathy
2) Telepathy is a sub sect of Whisper. Like there is either the Whisper as Greed described, or Telepathy.
3) She knows both Whisper and Telepathy
4) There is an item allowing her use Telepathy.

Quite honestly, any of the first three would be fine by me because I rather not have to get an item. But, its up to Gamzee to decide. I'm not sure if Telepathy would be in the 0 and 1 level range.

Luna, it's your character and therefore your magic, you can make it whatever you want it.

Telepathy would be much more convenient. I say go for it, it will allow the action to pick up faster. Another option is giving Rak the ability to speak if it's going to be a hassle. I thought it would add depth and originality but I'm willing to change

This'll be interesting. Rowan's personal agenda and goals affect the way she translates conversations via distance (mutes and radio alike) to those around her. I wonder how much this will affect the plot... very interesting.

Well here is the set backs and limits to Whisper telepathy:

1) When she is establishing a connection, she gets a headache because she hears a roar of peoples minds or the area. The closer the person is, the louder it is. It's like being in a noisy lunchroom. While hungover. You can listen to the thoughts if you want, but you rather go to where it is quiet.
2) To establish a connection, she must discern the person's 'mind voice.' Once she has established a connection once, however, she can find them easier.
3) She can comfortably do a telepathic conversation for 100 feet. The further the distance, the more of a headache she gets. The most she can communicate is 2000 feet before the pain becomes to unbearable.

Interesting. This sounds a lot like Mao from Code Geass, except you talk too. Me gusta.

Yeah, you're not forced to go by DnD's definition. Really by light magic I meant that you'll find some people here and there that have some magic. Everyone knows magic exists, but it usually isn't exceptionally powerful. Magic items are uncommon but you still come across them. Now, an actual wizard or sorcerer as powerful as Saruman or Gandalf is an extremely rare sight.

tl;dr Whisper can be telepathic.

As for the Captain: I imagined him to be a Dwarf around sixty years old. He can be tough on the crew at times, but overall the crew sees him in a positive light, as well as the first mate (human in his 30's).

He's not an amazing captain, but he isn't horrible.

So he's a fellow dwarf of similar age to Glanunt? Unless someone offers him mountains of gold not to, he's gonna save that poor fellow's sorry ass XD

Also, on the map: Why are the more northern countries labeled in black while the southern ones are labeled in white; and why are the Elvish islands coloured in as they are, so as to give the impression of detail, even though no other land masses are coloured thus? I just notice these things.

Nope, it's still OWP. I figure this can be a larger RP and so I'd cut it off around 8 or so people.

The, uh, Elven lands are like that because I started out using the brush tool and didn't realize it would make it like that. In the end it looks kinda cool so I let it be. The only geographical feature shown is is land, water, capitals, and mountains. And yes, there is one island that happens to have a single mountain.

As for the names no real difference again.


But while we are discussing land, this isn't the entire world. Just where we're spending at least the beginning of the RP in. Zeadus and The Northern Wilds go on further, as does Fjellheim.

Um...for the record, in case this was unclear, Glanunt is what we call a very reluctant time-traveler. This is why his weaponry is so much older than that's around him. He didn't travel very far, but he DID travel five years, and considering the unrelenting march of society, that's more than enough time for him to become outdated >.<

Name: DREAD PIRATE Scott Roberts

Age: 28

Race: Human

Country/island: Skullport

Gender: Male

Appearance: Scott Roberts is a relatively tall man at 6-foot-2, but is neither lanky nor heavyset. He wears high leather boots, the ends of which are tucked over his baggy khaki trousers. He wears a thin, white, long-sleeved blouse (don't laugh--that's what they're called) with a blue vest over-top. His hair is a slightly-ruddy brown and, for the most part, unkempt. Scott's jaw is pronounced but not "chiseled," and his face is oval in shape and clean-shaven in form. His eyes are brown.

Abilities: Scott is both a mighty fine pugilist and swordsman, and he knows his way around his cutlass better than most men on the sea. He's good with numbers (and fraudulently changing numbers) but that rarely comes into play aboard a pirate ship.

Inabilities: Due to his sadistic and klepto-maniacal personality defects, Scott has difficulty understanding the need for companionship, and thus can't really make friends. In addition, he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a bullet were he three feet away. (I exaggerate, but you know what I mean.)

Personality: Scott is a dark genius. He "embraces his inherent sadistic tendencies;" that is, he believes that everyone possesses within them an enjoyment brought forth by inflicting harm on others, and while some may ignore or block out this urge, he brings it to the forefront. He's also rather arrogant and possesses klepto-maniacal urges on top of everything--he has a psychological need to steal things.

History: Scott Roberts was born to one of the wealthier families on the island of Skullport, which doesn't necessarily mean much. At a young age he realized his sadism, and tortured animals ranging from ants under a magnifying glass to birds knocked down with a sling. His father, seeing the danger in a child with such tendencies, sent young master Roberts to a strict boarding school on the coast of Fjellheim. 11-year-old Scott quickly became a bully and soon began stealing as well, starting with books from the headmaster's office and working his way up to swords and even gems.

While at the school, he was put into the boxing tournament and won quickly and easily. He was put into fencing club and could soon best even the instructor. He aced all of his classes as if it were, to use a cliché, easy as pie.

Upon graduating this school (a year early), Scott Roberts ventured out into the world to become one of the best larcenists the world has yet known. One thing led to another, and suffice it to say, the minute he sets foot back in Fjellheim is the minute he's arrested. He's decided that instead of traveling from town to town in one country, he should go port to port in them all.

Ah! Now here we have a real scallywag. Does this thief steal from his colleagues as well from enemies? If so he's gonna get more enemies veeerrryyy quickly. Altogether a very nice addition. Good to have you aboard!

Hey! Did nobody see that Glanunt was going to keep some sweet, sweet booty for himself? Is he not considered a thief, or is he just an enthusiastic plunderer and adept...hider of...things?

He is a plunderer I suppose. I mean that's what most of the pirates are going to do I guess. Slip the small trinkets in their pockets for themselves.
