ooc: ...Ah. Well we are fixing that right now. Fact still stands we are in second period because we just finished first period.

Audrey nodded. "Yes, of course. I'm actually kind of excited to be out there. I've only explored the rim of the forest, we will have to go in pretty far to get some of the herbs Prof. Slughorn needs." A little giggle escaped as a sign of excitement.

Cassandra looks at her blankly as Lori grins.

"You are excited to be going into the Forbidden Forest?" Cassandra asks in shock. Lori gives her a luck that says "obviously. Why aren't you?"

"It's going to be an adventure!" Lori exclaims. "Anyways, you didn't seem that iffy about going in yesterday." Cassandra frowned.

"That was because that was on the rim, and nothing was going to happen there," Cassandra argued back. "Plus, there is dangerous beasts living in there."

OoC: Since' I already wrote the bit about Matt zoning out, and it's now second period, Matt's just gonna be wandering the halls aimlessly at this point.

Since Potions was cancelled, Shaun decided he'd do some exploring of Hogwarts. It was a huge place and he'd only seen a fraction of it.
He was just on his way to the Divination tower when he saw Matt wandering the corridors.
"Hello mate," Shaun said.

Matt greeted Shaun, surprised. "Hey there, mate...what are you doing out here anyways?"

"Potions is cancelled," he said. "I have a free period. You?"

Al wandered silently through the halls, checking behind him for threats. He was already spooked from his incident yesterday, and he had spotted a flock of birds out one of the windows. Rubbing his talisman and muttering to himself, he started down the Grand Staircase.

About halfway down, he spotted Matt and the others a few floors below him. After a moment of indecision, he started towards the group. Who cares what Liz thinks? he thought to himself. What does she know about these guys anyway? Nothing.

And with a small grin, he ran up behind the others. "Hey there! Didn't think I'd run into you this soon." With a motion, he put away the talisman before Matt could see it. Best not to get him upset over anything...he seemed to be looking forward to Potions.

Matt barely had a chance to reply to Shaun before Al showed up. Matt saw him quickly tuck something into his pocket, but decided to let it slide. Al had a rough time, same as Matt, and if he wanted to keep something secret, Matt was willing to look the other way. "Hey, mate, how ya feeling? You were burned up pretty bad from what I saw...do you know who caused the explosion? When I find 'im, I'll be sure to throw in a couple of nasty curses for ya."

Al could only stare at Matt as his mind entered panic mode. After a moment, he raised a hand hesitantly and looked at the window. "I...don't really remember the class. Sort of drawing a blank."
Hoping that would stop that line of questioning, Albert turned to Shaun. "So...what's going on today? Did I miss classes or something?"

"Yesterday's classes were cancelled," Shaun explained. "You didn't miss anything."

"Yeah, mate, and Potions classes are cancelled until further notice while they find a new classroom. I'm just waiting for Herbology right now, how about you blokes?"

"Prof. Slughorn is required not to let anything happen to us. We will be fine so long as he is around." The excitement was building in Audrey. "Hippogryphs, and unicorns, and wolpertingers, oh my!"

"I've got Herbology next period. Just waiting around for right now."

Matt felt foolish. "Oh, right, I remember talking with you about that, Shaun...heheheh...hey! I think we should all go for a walk around the castle and see what kind of places we can find before class starts. What do ya say?"

Relieved, Albert thought for a moment before responding. "Well, I'd be in Herbology with you, Matt." he said, trying to quelch his dread. He'd heard things about the different plants at the school, and most of them sounded quite dangerous. His hand almost went into his pocket, but he stopped and resigned himself to tapping the rabbit's foot on his cloak.

"Well, if we've got some free time, anyone want to go to the Libary? I bet they've got loads of books, and I need to look up some stuff on countercurses."

"I always wanted to ride a hippogryph," Lori exclaimed. "Anyways, I'm starving, let's get some noms!"

The trio went down to the Great Hall and after sitting at the Gryffindor table (which gained a few odd looks from their fellow Gryffindors at the sight of a Slytherian sitting down at the table, but nothing was said) they started heading towards the library.

On their way down they noticed Matt, Al and Shaun walking around talking. Cassandra gave Lori a look that said "don't start anything." Lori sighed and played with her goggles. She needed to get those fixed soon.

"Let's walk around," Shaun said. "Ben says there are some secret passageways and rooms or something. I want to know if he's right or not."

Matt smiled. "Countercurses, eh, mate? If you need help with those, look no further! My pa's an Auror, see, and he taught me all sorts of neat tricks they don't teach in your first year..." Matt trailed off as he saw Lori, Cassandra, and Audrey approaching. Cassandra whispered something to Lori, and she began busying herself with her goggles. Heheheh...this is a perfect time to make HER bloody uncomfortable for once... Ignoring Shaun's comment about secret passageways, Matt walked directly up to Lori and stood in her path. "Hey, there, Lors! Haven't seen you in a while! How do you like my hat? I think you made a comment about it before but I couldn't hear quickly over the sound of you walking away..." Matt said brightly, smiling sadistically.

With a groan, Albert watched as Matt walked up to Lori. Did he really have to do this? NOW? Glancing at Shaun, he nodded and started walking off. "I don't really want to see this again. Let's check out the passages, shall we?"
