[CODY] The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Skyward Mask Cap
[OoC: This RP is for Cody because we want to have a fight.]
Chapter One: The Fate of Hyrule
In the vast, deep forest of Hyrule... Long have I served as the guardian spirit... I am known as the Deku Tree...
The children of the forest, the Kokiri, live here with me. Each Kokiri has his or her own guardian fairy. However, there is one boy who does not have a fairy...
Navi... Navi, where art though? Come hither. Oh, Navi the fairy... Listen to my words, the words of the Deku Tree... Dost thou sense it? The climate of evil descending upon this realm; malevolent forces even now are mustering to attack our land of Hyrule...
For so long, the Kokiri Forest, the source of life, has stood as a barrier, deterring outsiders and maintaining the order of the world. But... before this tremendous evil power, even my power is as nothing... It seems the time has come for the boy without a fairy to begin his journey; the youth whose destiny it s to lead Hyrule to the path of justice and truth...
Navi, go now! Find our young friend and guide him to me... I do not have much time left. Fly, Navi, fly! The fate of the forest, nay, the world, depends upon thee!
Tiny wings beating furiously, a streak of glitter followed the fairy as she cut through the air and made her way to the tree-house of the boy who would change the fate of Hyrule...
Yeah, no. This RP has nothing to do with that, minus it being set in Hyrule.
Chadwick Miles Von Tangimore trudged across Hyrule Field, his sturdy, heavy feet bending the blades of grass in their shape with each step. He meant to return to Death Mountain, home of his fellow Gorons, and did not expect such a RACIST delay when a Hylian man stood between him and the path to his home.
The Goron stopped, "Move, Hylian, or I will murder you and your wife and children."
Re: [CODY] The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Skyward Mask Cap
In the beginning, there was Edan. This wasn't how scientific theories on the the origins of Hyrule usually went, but to the soldiers of the Hylian Army, there was no possibility more likely. Priests liked to argue their little theory about some team of Goddess superfriends running around creating things first, but the Army could see the flaw in that one straight away: that would mean that Edan had at some point been young, which made as little sense to the Royal Guard as the concept of dry water. Edan was more than just old, he was Old, and he had been that way for as long as anyone could remember.
It had taken Edan a long time to retire, but when he finally did, he'd found that wasting away at home just wasn't for him: he preferred to be out in the fields fighting Stalchildren and looking for mercenary work. So, he grabbed all his gear and ventured out to find adventure.
And adventure he found, in the form of a smug-looking Goron standing in his way. Edan wasn't a fan of Gorons - sure, they were allies with the Hylian king nowadays, but Edan remembered a time long before that, when Gorons had tried to conquer all of Hyrule out of a burning desire for all of Hyrule's mineral deposits. That conflict was more than 60 years previous, but it didn't stop Edan from holding a grudge.
So when the Goron blocking his path decided to threaten his (admittedly nonexistent) wife and children, he knew just what to do. He took out his trusty sword and shield and he charged.
