Name: Erwin
Gender: He has a male personality. Whether or not he is actually male would be an entirely different matter. I shouldn't imagine umbrellas can really qualify.
Appearance: Erwin is an umbrella. Specifically, he is a lightweight model, made of steel - although clearly he hasn't been treated properly, and is prone to rusting if not frequently oiled. When opened, his diameter is approximately 45cm, and is a cheery deep red colour. His eyes are painted onto his canopy. From handle to tip, he is approximately 75 cm in length. He has 8 spokes. He levitates approximately a metre from the floor, and can float about at a reasonable speed.
Weapon: Erwin has no weapon per se, but is capable of being used as a weapon himself. Being whacked over the head with Erwin is probably not the most pleasant experience. That said, Erwin can't really attack that well, other than beat enemies up with himself.
PK Abilities: Assist 4th D Slip - Allows an easy escape from combat scenarios by skipping through the Nth dimension. "4th D" is a misnomer, Erwin can't actually skip through time - if he could, he'd find out why he was an umbrella.
Disruption - Disrupts an opponent's concentration, temporarily preventing PSI attacks.
Hypnosis - Erwin can briefly hypnotize creatures, and send them to sleep. It's also useful for silencing boring people.
Brainshock - Can afflict a strange confusion upon an opponent, occasionally causing them to attack their allies.
Puzzlement - Occasionally prevents an opponent from attacking, distracting them with the most curious daydreams. For example, there was an excellent one about a mermaid, a barman, and a bicycle.
Telepathy - Erwin can read minds to a very, very limited degree. reading exact thoughts is impossible - most creatures are very complicated. General emotions are easier though, and this can often give away a creature's vital weak point.
Teleport - Erwin can teleport himself and others with ease. It's an odd process, but essentially involves his canopy ballooning up and enveloping bystanders, then transporting them through the Nth dimension to an alternative location. A most tiring process.
Defence Power Shield - Does what PSI Shield does, except against physical attacks.
PSI Shield - Creates a temporary barrier which can bounce back 50% of any given PSI attacks.
Offence PSI Deluge - The sky will darken, clouds gather, thunder rolls. The heavens will shatter, and the downpour will come. The Deluge washes away all.
Abilities: Erwin's ability to levitate can be occasionally be somewhat useful. He can't stay more than two metres at the most above the ground, though, and that's with a struggle, so large enough holes are still a struggle. His limited psychic abilities can also move things at a slight distance, generally about half a metre, although again, this is off limited application. That said, additional weight doesn't seem to affect his levitation - he could be used to jump from great heights, and float down quite slowly. He can also be used as a handy weapon to hit people with. And, obviously, he can be used as an umbrella.
History: Erwin is an umbrella. He is not exactly sure why. He can remember waking up in an umbrella stand, which is always a disconcerting experience. People were more accommodating than he expected - a telepathic umbrella might expect poor reception, but he gets by. Ideally, he'd like to establish exactly why he is an umbrella, but Erwin is quite happy to spend his days protecting passers-by from unexpected rainfall. You may as well do your job as best you can, or so Erwin supposes.
