Summer reading assignment

I don't need help with the assignment. I'm looking to see what book would be better to read.

I figured I'd get started on this project. These are the books. If you've read any of them, I'd like to know what your opinion on it is. I don't need a full review or anything.

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kid
The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver
The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane
Shoeless Joe by W.P. Kinsella



Holy ****, these books sounds boring.

The Secret Life of Bees is supposed to be good, but I've only heard that from my old English teacher and a few kids who'd read it.

I've not read any of them, but my friend enjoyed The Red Badge of Courage and I've heard several people talk very fondly about The Secret Life of Bees.

I highly recommend The Red Badge of Courage out of all of them, being that's the only one that I know. It's also a very good story that should keep you interested.
