I just started taking an online German class.

As for German? Very little. I know how to say "Please" and "Thank you".

Just curious, what does herr mean in German? I hear it in "Herr general" or "Herr Adams".

Yes, Herr is actually Lord, but its now so commonplace to be as Mr. It is a sign of respected when you call a person Herr. It is generally used for people in a higher class than you.

I learned to count to eight today.

I'm half-German. My mom randomly speaks it all the time at home. Because of this, I've learned how to count to ten and how to say say "Careful," "Delicious," "Hello," "Thank you," and "You're welcome."

I probably should try to learn more...I mean, it is kind of my heritage and all.... But I'm already taking my fourth year of Spanish in school! I'm afraid that if I take German now I'll confuse myself....

I don't know how to count in German. (I can count to 30 in Spanish, but this isn't a thread about speaking Spanish)
