How do bugs eat?
'm in need of dire help. Albeit people supposedly say that nearly every time they post a thread in here, I am in dire need of something because my library, believe it or not, has nothing on this subject, and I searched literally the first 50 or so pages of Google for anything pertaining to this.
So my question is: what does the digestive system of arthropods look like, what do they consist of, and how does it work? I find it ironic that I'm unable to find anything about this, seeing as how they're the largest phylum in the animal kingdom. Any help, whether it be big or small, is highly appreciated.

Re: How do bugs eat?
Unless it differs from species to species, then they use a special acid to dissolve their prey, them use a needle to suck in the liquid (or the nectar).

With their mouths. This has been valuable information from yours truly.
Ha! Keaton King pretty much sums it up. I was watching this show on Discovery Channel and it explains things just about the same. All though every different species has their different way of eating. It's pretty fascinating stuff if you look into it.

Re: How do bugs eat?
Yeah, I watched a show about spiders on Nature Channel (Yes, they are arachnid, not bugs).
