Re: Riddles
Can you make more than one trip?
If so, take the pregnant woman to the hospital first. Second, go back and take your best friend to wherever it is they need to go, therefore repaying them. Lastly, go back and get the girl (or, in my case, it'd be the guy) of your dreams. If not, I have no idea. |

Re: Riddles
Okay, I think I may have it.
First off, you said there was room for one more person in your car. That's including you being in there. Now, get out of the car and let two people in: your friend in the driver's seat, and the pregnant woman in the passenger's seat. This way, your friend can drive her to the nearest hospital. You're alone with the person of your dreams, and you've gotten to repay your friend and save the pregnant woman. |

Re: Riddles
take the pregnant lady, as long as the other two are fit they can stand on the top, just drive pretty slow, or they can go in the boot. *grins*

Re: Riddles
I hope this one's not too obvious.
You're running late to a job interview because you overslept. You're in a hurry and come across a fork in the road. You knew both ways will eventually lead to the building, but one was longer than the other, and you couldn't remember which was which. Two guys lived in two different houses along the road. One always told the truth, while the other always lied. You don't want to be any later than you're already going to be, so you only have time to ask one of them one question. What question should you ask? |

Re: Riddles
It's the only long one I could think of off the top of my head. Otherwise, it would have been a bunch of shorter ones. That wouldn't have been so bad, but I want to see how many may, or may not, know this.

Re: Riddles
^Fair enough, but if you've got more, put them up after this one.

Re: Riddles
Well I have the answer, but I already knew this one, so I'll let other people take it.

Re: Riddles
Herez one:
NASA decided to try an experiment on birds living in space to see if they behaved differently. They set up everything, supplied the 3 birds with food, oxygen, water to last for a month. They send the rocket containing everything into space. The birds survive the travel and NASA begins the experiment. However, the birds die within 2 hours of arriving in space. How did the birds die? Anorher fairly simple one: A scientist studying in Antarctica comes upon a body frozen in the ice. He runs back to camp and tells everybody else that he has found Adam, (as in the Adam) but he did not do anything to the ice or body. How does the scientist know that this is Adam?

Re: Riddles
^Good riddles, but do you have an answer to the one I posted above?
Quote:
My guess: Without gravity, the birds can't move without giving themselves a push. They're not nearly as intelligent as us humans, and couldn't find a way to do it. They're used to flying through the air without such problems. Therefore, the birds died of starvation and/or thirst. 2.) The scientist could clearly see his Adam's Apple. |

Re: Riddles

1) you have the right concept and partially the right answer, but not the right reason. The birds can move, fly, sing, etc. This requires some knowledge of birds in general. 2) Lol! once again, same idea, but wrong answer.

Re: Riddles
Birds don't have throught muscles, so they need gravity to swallow, I would guess in space this would mean they'd starve.
Again, I know the second one, so I wont say anything.

Re: Riddles
Yes, that's pretty much it. Birds don't have muscles in their necks, so they can't swallow the water. Thats why the water tanks in bird feeders are pointed downward. Good job.

Now I'm left wondering, why I know birds dont have those muscles

Re: Riddles
Here's my personal favorite:
Two coins add up to 30 cents. One of the coins is not a quarter. What are the two coins? (if you watch Scrubs, you should know this so don't answer it) And another one. This relys on a kind of stupid logic. A girl is trapped in a room made of 6' solid concrete. There are no windows and the only door is made of 3' thick steel and is locked shut. In the room are a piano, a table, and a saw. Name 2 ways she can escape using those items.
