Re: Geometry -- NEED HELP FAST

For problem 2:

There is a 30-60-90 triangle created from 2ft, d, and h. You can find d and h using the ideal sides of a 30-60-90. The area is self-explanatory.

For problem 1: You have the height of the trapezoid along with bases 1 and 2. Find the area. Next, the angle divided by 360 gives the fraction of the circle and *2(pi)r gives the sector. Sector/Trapezoid gives the percent.

Re: Geometry -- NEED HELP FAST

For problem 1. To get the area of a trapezoid you must add up the two bases. Then multiply the sum of the two bases by the height. Then divid by two. To get the fraction of the completed circle take the angle and divide by 360. To get the area of the part of the circle you need to take the angle "150" and divide that by "360." Then multiply the answer by the area of the total circle. The area of the entire circle is "pi * r^2" in your case i believe that is "(3.14 * 18^2) = 1017.36 in^2." So your equation is.... "((150/360)*(1017.36)" = "423.9 in ^2" Finally the %. Take your area of the partial circle and divide that by the area of the tapezoid. Then multiply your answer by 100 to get the %.
